  • Don't feel like dusting either? - Then you HAVE to try this!
    ✅ Is HERE something for you? ➡️ amzn.to/3Hi7tEy *
    Dusting is probably one of the most unpopular household chores that no one really likes to do. But if you feel the same way, then you should take a closer look at this cleaning trick. Because here I show you how you have to wipe significantly less dust!
    Because you can treat your furniture or places like the baseboards so that dust can no longer settle on them. And how exactly that goes I want to show you now. Because all you need is fabric softener. Wipe the places where you want to have less dust once and then rub a very small amount of fabric softener on these places with a microfiber cloth. This will create a barrier that will prevent the dust from settling there.
    This way you will have to clean these areas much less than before and you will have less work. Try out this ingenious cleaning trick for yourself, too, if you're tired of dusting!

    For glass shelves in the fridge, wash and dry the glass shelf then take a soft cloth and about a pea size amount of glycerin. The glycerin you can get at most drug stores and plan to divide it between several friends because a small amount lasts so long you will end up throwing most away in a decade. Anyway, with your cloth and pea size bit of glycerin polish the glass. At first you will think you might have to wash it off but keep polishing until it disappears. Repeat on the other side of the glass. The first time I did this, despite having two ravenous teenagers and a husband who never noticed when he spilled or put the jelly back with jelly on the bottom of the jelly jar, it was three years before I had to do the "big fridge clean" again. I could just wipe up crumbs, NOTHING stuck to the glass and when a kid stood with their head in the fridge waiting for something yummy to magically appear, the glass never fogged up. It is probably the best, most amazing tip I ever tried.

      Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better
      To paint a picture, or write a letter,
      Bake a cake, or plant a seed;
      Ponder the difference between want and need?
      Dust if you must, but there's not much time,
      With rivers to swim, and mountains to climb;
      Music to hear, and books to read;
      Friends to cherish, and life to lead.
      Dust if you must, but the world's out there
      With the sun in your eyes, and the wind in your hair;
      A flutter of snow, a shower of rain,
      This day will not come around again.
      Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
      Old age will come and it's not kind.
      And when you go (and go you must)
      You, yourself, will make more dust.

    Take a broom, you haven't swept with. A new broom perferrably. Put a tablespoon of fabric softener in a gallon of warm water, in a bucket. Take a large piece of white cloth and dip it in the bucket. Wring the cloth out. Then put the cloth on the clean broom and wrap it around the broom and secure the cloth to the broom with a rubber band around the top of the cloth. No bending, no on our knees... so much efficient for us older folks!

    Does anyone remember Hints from Heloise ? A housekeeping newspaper column that told you all kinds of helpful hints and people would also write in to talk about their shortcuts. If you have a dirty pan that needs soaking put a fabric softener sheet or a dollop of regular fabric softener in the pan and fill to cover then soak overnight and the baked on food came out quite nicely. Mineral oil unscented ( baby oil is the same thing) and a few drops of your favorite scented oil will work for dusting and moisturizing your furniture. Especially if you use a wood stove because it dries out wood furniture. I didn't know that. Don't be like me.....🤔

I would hate to see anyone else suffer from this hack please don't do this hack.

      That is a myth. It increases flammability when it is on clothing and its not washed. Otherwise that is a myth. I am a hazmat specialist and I constantly look for flash points on products. Fabric softener is disposable and can be dumped in regular non regulated liquids. Therefore it is not flammable. Just don't leave it on fabric unwashed. But who does that? No one. This is furniture it's different.

    I'm not too sure about liquid softener, but I have heard and tried the softener sheets. It doesn't work. But.. I have found something that can help. Dust will enter no matter what. Even a micro hole in your window trim will allow dust with help from a little breeze from the outside. Auto mobile wax. Yup. It's a hassle but now there are spraying types that do a good job. Years ago we used to wash our windows and apply 'window wax'. It kept your windows clean from rain, wind and blowing dirt. I use Auto mobile wax on my windows, apply it just like your car. Blinds on windows, ceiling fans, cabinets, wood. Not painted walls or rough surfaces of course. You will still have the same amount of dust, but have to sweep or vacuum more. Lower your humidity too is awesome.

      You said vacuum more and that reminded me of this. When my kids were growing up, my daughter and I had long hair. About every 4 to 6 months meant I got to spend time on the porch with vac roller brush, scissors and the air was a little blue from my saying things my granny wouldn't have approved of. One day before I vacuumed I got the broom and spent maybe ten minutes total doing kind of a semi-sweep across the rooms with carpet. It was amazing how much hair I was able to get just by dragging the broom across the carpet. It made a dramatic difference in not just the vacuum performance but my porch episodes went down to almost yearly. The brushes could brush because they weren't encased in an ever growing fur ball. I know it may sound like to much effort just to vacuum but to me, the better my machine works the less I have to use it.

    But make sure if you decide to paint,that they use cleaners to remove it.Painters hate it when the staff does this in the houses.

    好心态是一个人幸福的关键,烦恼和快乐,成功和失败,就在你一念之间。要活在当下,过去的苦乐已经过去,未来的苦乐还没有到来,好好把握今天,不要瞻前顾后,不恨别人,不报复别人,恨和报复只会加深自己和别人的痛苦。希望大家抛开恨,多多地拥有爱吧!

    You mentioned in an earlier video that you do not use fabric softener in your laundry due to the nasties, but do you still use it for dust-free surfaces?

    • @anniezohar5415
      @anniezohar5415 2 роки тому +4

      Yes I was wondering about that too. I won’t use fabric softener after what he said in the other video.

    • @cathylarkin5664
      @cathylarkin5664 Рік тому +1

      I also wondered about this. I stopped using fabric softener years ago because I understand that the ingredients are not healthy and because they cause a buildup on fabrics. Fabric softener is definitely not recommended on microfiber (which is, it appears, what the cloth applying the fabric softener is).
      With due respect to the contributor, I too have embraced suggestions in the past that I thought were helpful until someone created a broader perspective. Life is always a question of making informed choices so, in the spirit of appreciation, thank you for sharing what you have found works for you.😊

    Are you confusing fabric softener with dryer sheets ? With a "static charge" dust will be attracted to the surface making it more dusty. If you just hide a dryer sheet near dusty areas, dust will be attracted to that, and then you can just throw it away. Rub two dryer sheets together to start the charge.

    The Quantum X Vacuum cleaner uses water as the filter. It cleans better than any vacuum i have ever used. It cost between $300 and $400 and it is available on line. It has swivel turning but it doesn't come with a cord hangar. You can get a command hangar for the cord. it is inexpensive. It is way better than a hepa filter.
