You did a good job of the "Cold Case" promo. A lot of creators think a shout out at the end of the vid is ok to justify free (or cheap) stuff. I hate youtubes ad inserts but I appreciate a good promo from someone who actually uses the product. That engine just looks right in the 'stang, can't wait for the first start up.

Thanks man, I’m really glad to hear. Support from aftermarket parts companies like this is how I'll be able to grow my projects bigger and better.

Maaaaan it is down right eerie how similar our builds are. Watching you has inspired me to film my build from now on to help the "next guy" out.
I am really enjoying your journey, thanks for taking us along with you.

That's awesome man, great minds think alike! That's exactly what made me start filming my projects, to give a little something back to the community that's helped me out so much. Makes me happy I can help others' builds. I'm looking forward to your first video!

I had to weld my power steering drop down bracket also, the bolts pulled out after awhile. After reading back over the instructions I realized it instructed me to do so.

Dude! Thank you! I have a straight 6 mustang ‘68 that I cannot get running! I am now looking for a ford explorer! You are awesome! I’m gonna get my ‘stang up and running with a 5.0.

You should do a full ATF change. On my explorer trans you can pull the rubber plug at the bottom of the bell housing. Inside that hole you can see the torque converter. Rotate the engine until you see a drain plug through the hole. You can then drain the fluid in the torque converter.

These transmissions are great, but you’ll get a torque converter shudder between 1st and 2nd /2nd to 3rd if you have old fluid.

Thanks, this is good advice. I’ll definitely make to do this.

You might want to get some foam or something to pit in between the radiator and the support so that the air from the grill will flow through the radiator core instead of just going around it

    • @noboltsleftbehind
      @noboltsleftbehind  9 місяців тому +1

Definitely a good call, there’s a decent sized gap now after cutting the core support

@@noboltsleftbehind ya, Pontiacs always had rubber flaps between the grill and radiator supports, when they got old and crusty people pulled them off then the car overheated and they couldn’t figure out why

ive used every type of trans pan gasket on my buicks th400 and every one has gave me headaches. I currently have a steel core silcone one to put on it. apparently they wont leak or rip. You can reuse them several times as well. about 20 more than the regular ones but def worth it. they are blue made by moroso. also no need for rtv.

That's very good to know, I'll definitely grab one of those if I end up with leaks.

I don't know if I missed it in the video, but where did you get the fuse box?

I bought it on Amazon, the brand was True Mods. I go over the setup in an earlier episode: ua-cam.com/video/VlnYulOsTds/v-deo.html , I originally bought it for my Holley Sniper I was setting up on the original engine but that motor kicked the bucket so it’s being repurposed for the 5.0 harness.

I’m disappointed…because I was hoping it would be fired up soon! Just my 2c a little take is nice. Especially if you get a passengers or a spare in the trunk etc.

It'll fire up soon, I promise! Just gotta cut up the Explorer wiring harness and get it all integrated with the Mustang and it'll be ready.
