Great video !!! I am right now running into the same problem. I have a 5.0 EFI and AOD from an 88 Lincoln. I got the 5.0 kit from NPD for my 65 Mustang and there was NO WAY that was going to fit without a lot of cutting. Whats the total distance from your radiator core support to the end of the fans? And how does it run with part of the radiator being covered up?

Hey Chris 👋, the total thickness of the entire assembly is 6 7/8 inches from the mounting surface to the tip of the fan motors. Obviously, you will have less than that in between the fans, and the 2nd question I don't know yet, the car is not running for now, but soon I will fire her up 👍🏻👍🏻🔥

Thanks, bud👍🏻...hopefully, it will run without any issue, because I didn't want to cut the radiator support...basically I'm experimenting here 😂

Great video Danny. I’m very interested in doing. Can you please help me with how you attached the radiator to the core support.

Hey, I'm glad you like it 👍🏻.. well, in my case, I didn't cut the radiator support because I wanted to see how it would work without doing that, so I just used long bolts with nut and lock washers, drilled 4 holes on the radiator support at the same distance as the holes on the radiator and put everything together....I haven't try it how it works yet because the car isn't complete to drive it...but as soon as I can take her out of the garage I will figure if was necessary to cut the radiator support or not.... Thanks 👍🏻

I see this radiator is just a little taller than the OEM one for a 66. Did you have any issues with cap to hood clearance. Thanks

Yes, it's a little taller, but there are no issues with the hood clearance 👍🏻

What color is your 66? My 67 is factory Frost Turquoise. Paint code B. Very similar to your 66. I'm in the process of restoring a 68. I'm going to paint to match my 67 so I have a matching set. I subscribed to your channel. Been doing this for 40 years. But always willing to hear fresh ideas and learn something new.

Hey bud, thanks for your subscription 👍🏻...my car was originally emberglo, but I painted Tropical Turquoise (yes it's similar to yours) I didn't wanted to go with the original color because I feel that doesn't looks so good on a coupe in my opinion but emberglo in a convertible with white top looks great 😃...your idea of a set it's great, I would like a f100 with the same color and use it to tow the Mustang to the events some day!!...and 40 year it's a lot of time working on this cars, I'm a newbie but I love classics so I really enjoy it
