I had 2 gen3 cars back in the early 90's (84 z28 and 88 iroc). I fell out of love with them until recently. Now in my mid 40's I have to have 1 again maybe 3. I'm back in love with the gen3 and this time it's gonna be nasty nasty, like I wished it was back then. I want 700-800 hp, manual trans, big brakes and good suspension. It's on like Donkey Kong. If anyone has something nice for sale please let me know, I'm on the hunt. Thanks,Tony in Texas.
I was born in 81 and my parents had an 82 Camaro I remember the drive from Illinois to Utah in 85 my dad(rip) let me sit on his lap and "drive" Now I have a 83 firebird 5 speed And I'm obsessed. These cars are so cool looking😅
@@estebanquiroz8096 that's what I've been seeing but that seems like a minor problem and an easy fix. I think they have more flex to them, but a roll cage would fix that
I first saw this car on Hoonigan a few years ago...and I dug it then. I've always had an affinity for the 3rd Gen Camaro...even test drove a new one back in the day, but I was only an 18 year old kid and couldn't swing both the payment and the insurance premium. Now I'm old and can afford both, but I don't really want a modern muscle car with all of the electronic BS. I have a Charger and I HATE the drive by wire throttle and the electronic shifter. So I too am looking for a non T-top 3rd Gen Camaro. 8.200 RPM bang shifts, here I come!
Building one now everything is so expensive I want to go auto crossing suspention s 10g brakes are 4g per wheel motor 10g and there a hundred more things to do very depressing I'll keep trying though one thing at a time your car is the raddest third gen I've ever seen

Sweet car love the 3rd gen iroc-z’s my first car was a 86 iron-z same blue t-top 305tpi had flowmasters with a jet chip, drop in k&n’s with the 700r4 it wasn’t quik at all but sounded great 👍🏻. Handled very well just an all around cool car to drive and cruise. I got beat by a square body Nissan Sentra smoked me bad but if I had a gear and shift kit it would of been a lot different but it was a turd old tpi.
its cute how the article linked to this suggests you can build something similar for about $30,000....MY ASS !! ...this car is EASILY $100,000 to build, come on guys be fucking real.ps:i fucking love this car but seriously , be forthright with build costs.....ive got close to $15,000 in mine and its nothing like this car the drivetrain ALONE eclipses $30,000 by a long shot...im guessing to replicate the engine would be 30k it self(or more) its an 8500 rpm capable, all aluminum, destroked ,forged everything very high tech, top of the line LS ,then add fuel system $$$$, add the specific ,stand alone ecm, harness, sensors and related hardware%$$$$$$,add a bulletproof cooling system $$$$ add custom stainless headers and exhaust $$$$$ ,add a tremec t56 $$$$$ ,add a very expensive 9 bolt rear $$$$$$ add baer brakes all around $$$$$$....im running out of fingers to add up these items
@@ThunderAppeal This has been all over, check out the other videos of it the front bumper already has little chips everywhere. Definitely not a trailer queen.
The sound of this car at full throttle is simply amazing.
True story
I wish GM would come out with an updated version of this body style. Always liked it.
That would be awesome!

only a matter of time! everything old is new these days

You convinced me. I went and searched for an IROC without T tops found one and have begun
Thanks for the inspiration
Why without t-tops?
TrashBandit 24 I heard it’s because they leak. I honestly would prefer one without a t-top. Especially if you’re building it to be faster.
@@estebanquiroz8096 that's what I've been seeing but that seems like a minor problem and an easy fix. I think they have more flex to them, but a roll cage would fix that
TrashBandit 24 more rigidity
@@carnationvideos4258 can't you make a t-top a lot more rigid with a roll cage anyway?
Everytime I have a had day, the sound of this car brightens everything.
Awesome build love the sounds of a LS screaming. I'm finally getting done with my 85 Iroc-Z. What a fun platform to mod check it out!
seen this car today! Beautiful Camaro. Very friendly guy!
I have an 84 Z28 and man I love the way these cars look, sound! This car is amazing!!!!
The sound of this car is out of this world! If only my 96 cobra revved that high and sounded that good
No cobra in the world could run with that car right now as it sits
just add $75,000 of quality performance parts and send it
A slowbra?!??!??
Oh boy....
This Camaro at 8,000 rpm sounds INCREDIBLE!!
You guys rule!!!! 🦾👊🏽🙌🏼
My goodness I love that car... damn that thing is wicked.
I have a 3rd gen Camaro as well and this car motivates me to give it modern performance
I was lucky to have one in high school 89 5.7 IROC. I was both loved and hated in school lol Such a beautiful timeless car.
They're growing in popularity!
Nice, I have a 5.0 Rs but in college lol, I got it a year after high school
Amazing Detroit Speed and Kyle Tucker!
Amazing that 40yrs old car still looks this good..

Do you have a link for those rims? Has the car been lowered or stock height?
More vids on this please
Wish you guys can built my iroc just like that.
Can you tell us what is the rim and tire sizes Please. tks
I need a clear shot of the hood so I can try and remake this in Forza. The 3rd gen iroc-z just got added to horizon 4 today
Check it out here: www.superchevy.com/features/1811-baddest-third-gen-camaro-ever-built/
Would you guys be able to do the same to a convertible iroc Z?
sickest third gen camaro on youtube!
love the car.what is the magwheels specs?
They are 18x11 with a 6" backspacing in the front and 6.5" in the rear.
Sounds bad ass!!!!
Love it friends. So what was your best time at Carolina Motorsports Park? I'm in Asheville and would love to take my 2014 SS there.
Sounds like a Nascar stocker screaming off the highbank!
So whose idea was it to engineer a flat plane crank for the LS motor and how difficult was it ?
It’s not a flat plane crank. It’s a 4.8 crank in a ls7 block. But there is a flat plane crank on the market for the ls
It sounds like the gt350 engine doesn’t it??? I think it’s bad ass!!!
Where can i buy that steering column?
the whole build thread is here. its a custom column. (just remove the spaces)

This Camaro is one mean machine! But.... Has anyone seen the third gen that Rad Rides was building a while back, I can't seem to find it
What wheels do you run?
Doea it have a T56?

What is te rear aend ratio?
Gorgeous
I’m curious of it’s top speed??
We have never maxed it out, but it's done 140-150mph in 4th gear on the road course with 2 more gears to go.
Detroit Speed 200+!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3rd gen is so sick😍
It about time...
