No criticism at all, brother just observation but the reason the pine burned even faster than you expected might have been that piece with all the branches that you used as a "kindling tree". it was almost definitely full of fatwood in every branch angle. The old timers used to pull out the pine knots from rotten trees where the branches meet the tree and keep them at campsites. Down south we still do sometimes. We leave them for the next camper. Next time you get some dead pine check that area and sometimes you get some really sweet fatwood that you can process down into blocks for your kit. You probably already know all that but I figured I'd share just in case you didn't. Thanks for sharing the longer video, brother. Loved it. Keep it up man you've got serious talent. God bless.

I really like to see these affordable knives like moras getting used in popular videos. It helps show people starting out in this hobby a $300 knife is not required to enjoy and experience the outdoors.

whether you are by water at not, the area you are in used to be water. Most likely it was some type of river rock that exploded

Nnnnooooo forgot the cheese, the struggle is real 👍🏼"feather sticks for days" Alfie Aesthetics quote sir ? Yet again another top production, the great quality that you bring to you tube is that you do something you love, it's not polished, you are learning as you go and we are on that journey with you, I don't want to a video with a perfectly built shelter in one go, or somebody saying right time for a fire and poof it's roaring. You show the pain in finding the wood, processing it down then admitting how it was hard with the pine. When I go out and fail at making a fire and working out it's just not a case of getting a few twigs, a bit of silver birch and rubbing two small hedgehogs together to create a spark, sometimes it takes a while. Thanks for keeping it real brother 🥓🍳

I also vote for longer videos. I'm a cord cutter. It's not easy to watch outdoors shows from Discovery or Outdoors on the spur of the moment. You have to know the shows exist and maybe there's videos on the website to watch or you find them on YT or pirate them. I started with Joe Robinet but guys like you and him can be found in a moment's notice. I can walk out of my kitchen with a plate of hot food and be like, "Oh, I should watch a bushcraft video while I eat!". Open YT and there you are. 20 seconds from having the idea to watching your video. I found you from seeing you in the sidebar while watching Joe's videos. You are the replacement to the 20 or 40 minutes shows on cable. Capitalize on it!
