Three Dog Night - Liar (April 20, 2024 - Desert of the Stars Arena, Primm, NV)

Three Dog Night performed at the Desert of the Stars Arena in Primm, NV and sang one of their biggest hits that Danny Hutton called their 'angry song,' "Liar." It was written by Russ Ballard of the group, Argent (Hold Your Head Up) and recorded by them but failed to chart. With Danny in the lead, Three Dog Night put their spin on it, and the song climbed to #7 on the Billboard chart.

Went to the show. It Was sad..sounded like a band trying to imitate 3 Dog Night. The guitar player who sang "One " could barely make the notes and cut all sustained notes from the original short. Danny and the other substitute singer were fine...sang in tune...gave it their best. They sounded best on Out In The Country because the vocals are all unison and therefore homogenized.....as opposed to trying to sing Never Been To Spain without Cory's voice. At least hold auditions Nation wide to find the right stand in. One of my all me favorite groups but not even a shadow of themselves.

Danny Hutton cannot continue The Three dog night band without Corey and Chuck this the band is really going to go downhill from now on
