He not telling the whole story on why they got sued. They thought the song would be on the Nightmare of Elm Street Soundtrack. But they out priced themselves in negotiations. New Line Cinema then went with the Fat Boys Ready for Freddy (which was weak). Will Smith had his album about to come out and couldn't wait and put the song on the album and made a video on it. They tried to use it was a Parody but they used Freddy in the movie and song.
