The record in question is Reuben Howell's "You Made Your Bed." Opposite to JJ's assumption of the track being "Scratchin" with someone singing on it," it's the other way around. "Scratchin" is "You Made Your Bed" with Howell's vox removed released a couple years later on the same label (Motown).
