- Storytime Time! Robbed in Suburbia! Sorry about the mic issues (it's the second one!). I love Storytime! See how I did that, though? We have to learn to keep calm! Well, I wasn't calm but act calm! Could have ended up worse and in hindsight, I may have handled that differently but I thought it was worth noting. :) Hope you enjoy and I'll see you guys next week!

I have a carefree daughter as well. I think "oh well" is her favorite line. I hate it and love it at the same time. She helps maintain a calm balance.
I don't have kids but I go hard for my brothers (I'm the only girl), nephews and neice.
I remember I went up to my little brothers school everyday because I heard he was getting picked on.
We have to stand up for the babies!!

Great story time....I woulda did the same thing. Not my baby! My 8 yr old took $5 to school for a book fair and she told me 2 kids took it from her mannn, I called a meeting with the principal, teacher and both parents...Y'all gonna give my baby her $5 back!!! You did right girl! I would have handled this the same way. I don't play especially when it comes to my kids & they sometimes refrain from telling me things because they know this. I am trying to be a little more calm in handling situations because I want them to feel like they can talk to me & I not fly off the handle. The funny thing is, I have not always been this way, grew up timid. However one thing I have learned LIFE is a teacher & time definitely brings about a change. Keep the stories coming, I always enjoy them!

I would have done the same.......I found the boy who stole my son's bike....I told his friends it was my 7 year son's bike....they went to get him out of the YMCA and when they told him I was waiting outside, he refuse to come, so his friend decided to protect the bike, I snatched that bike so fast...I said gimme me my darn bike"!!! They all/including my son was looking at me like a crazy lady!! I put it in my trunk and left......lol

"I'm not a violent person." ROFL I probably would have gotten security, or fussed at my daughter all the way home. When I get angry, I don't always know how to pull things back and keep it "adult." If security couldn't help, I would need to leave.
