    A MALE PERSPECTIVE...
    Hey, LOVE your energy !!!!
For me it has been a journey; I woke one morning and asked myself, "...why are you cutting your hair off --BALD every two to three weeks..." ????? and dealing with crazy and painful razor bumps on the back of my head and neck... I could not come up with a logical reason, other than I was told all my life that I had BAD-NAPPY hair. Long story short, I felt like I did not KNOW my own hair and by extension a part of myself. So, I too was looking at UA-cam videos and came across the -water only method- I have been using water ONLY and coconut oil as a moisturizer for about 3 months, no shampoo, no conditioner, no leave-in conditioner, no "products" whatsoever, nothing...!!!! I LOVE MY HAIR...I LOVE MY HAIR....I LOVE MY HAIR...!!!! I work out and wash my hair with warm water everyday and use coconut oil as a moisturizer. Also, the coconut oil dose not clog my pores, so I use it as a complete body moisturizer, instead of lotion. I just wanted to share and I hope this helps and encourages others...PEACE and LOVE ---Chris

I'm six months in to water-only washing. I started it when I lived in Asia and could not find castile soap. I'm in my 40s, and my 4A/4B hair is shinier, darker, and fuller than it's ever been, and I don't use any products at all.
I adore your videos! I still watch your 'insect video' when I need a good giggle!! Thank you, Rachelle! Cheers!

if you deal with problems from scalp odour while washing with water only you can use an apple cider vinegar rinse, it works great for neutralizing bad odour!

Listen to what this woman is saying. I can personally tell you right now that NOT BATHING every day, you do NOT stink. Washing just with water is real and it works. The natural clay dust and natural bacteria ensure you never smell bad. What she is saying is true. But it also works with the entire body. The only people who are going to have real issues are those in the inner city being exposed to petroleum tars. My daughter's both do this, as do I. It has been over a year now. Sone months we bathe twice only. No one could ever tell we are not using commercial soaps. We do use detergent for our clothing though. This is how God created human beings to live. And yes, it absolutely takes about a month to acclimate.

I was on the water only Regimen in 2016 for six months and my hair was glorious!! Sadly I wanted a temporary relief from my thick hair and got a keratin treatment which acted as a relaxer and destroyed my hair completely :( I had to start all over again (have been transitioning now for 1,5 yrs) and stumbled over your video again! :) it inspired me to keep going and get on the wow regimen again to help me grow out my natural hair long and thick (which is a blessing as I know now) again! Thank you!! :)

Sebum protects the hair. You can swim etc. and just water wash and your hair will be amazing. That's right. Sometimes your ends feel dry. Add a little coconut oil or olive oil, just something natural is important.

I've been trying out a raw Aloe Vera wash on my eldest. I wash her nowadays with nothing but the inside of an aloe vera plant and moisturise with a mix of shea butter and oils. Her hair is soft, maintains moisture for dayyyysss and she absolutely loves it and looks forward to washing her hair. I'm curios to try this water only method on myself

I used to follow the water washing only method when you posted the video. My hair THRIVED!! It quickly got the longest and healthiest it has ever been. Unfortunately, I got a Brazilian Kerstin treatment with acted like a relaxer and ruined my hair. I had to start fresh (big cut after 4,5 years growth, hair was breast-shoulder Blade length) and was so disappointed that i lost all interest in natural hair care. Now I wanna Start water only washing again and hope to get my hair as beautiful as it was back then 😊🙏

I one day decided that I want omit products and found water to be a great moisturizer when used right. I want to go no product. And just have my natural oils. Ur hair is beautiful btw. My hair is growing amazingly and it has a nice natural smell. I eat Lots of fruits and vegs. And drink water regularly and my hair is like baby hair. My hair used to be the type that needed tons of product that needed a curl. Even with co washing didn’t give me these results as great. I’m excited to really see my hair flourish.

Shampoo is an Israeli designed product which strips your hair of natural hair oils. And makes your hair lifeless and breakage. Your hair grows so much if you use water oil and your scalp becomes hydrated that's why it's important to look after your natural hair oils :)

I've been doing this water-only washing method since you first made that video last summer and I'm so glad I gave it a try! I love the results it's given my hair, it's never felt softer! It did take a really long time to fully coat my waist length hair so I ended up moisturizing my ends with oils after the first month ...also my hair has no scent so I do sometimes spray my hair with either hydrosols or a diy fragrance (distilled water + essential oils)! Thanks for coming back and keeping us updated! I know that naptural85 was trying out this method too but I'm not sure if she's still keeping up with it.

definitely the key to washing your hair is to make sure to massage your scalp. i usually take a bath when i wash my hair. i add a few drops of lavender oil for benefits . then i use honey only at the ends. after detailing my hair i either use aloe or flax seed gel to lock my curls.

I too have fine fragile hair... And the water wash only has been amazing. Once you get full sebum, and for some. It does take longer than others. It took me about 3 to 4 months before I really started to see a difference. And I think I will start doing my avocado mask again. I think the avocado gives my hair a coat of goodness for a couple of days... lol

I am really glad to see this video!! because we strip out all the natural oil, essentially with car grade degreasers (which is what is in all the shampoos on the market), then we put conditioner back in, which is so expensive and needless. I haven't tried this water only method but am going to try now. Your hair looks fantastic!

Here's a suggestion for anyone wanting to start. After clarifying hair, blow-dry as straight as you can get it and then put hair in 8 to 10 cornrows going back. Then crochet your braided ends into the cornrows that way all your hair is close to your scalp. Then for the first week water rinse every other day. When your scalp starts producing sebum it will get on the roots and the ends so you don't have to wait for it to reach the ends. Plus hair is protected. Do this for 3 to 4 weeks and by then all your hair should be covered in sebum. Then take down braids and brush thru hair and continue water rinsing every 3 days. If all your hair is covered with sebum by the 2nd week then take braids down then.

I've tried water only washing before. It was fine for a while but my hair was long enough to tangle, but too short to really twist it up. I also have ezcema on my scalp. I started using Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle conditioner as a co wash and a natural styling custard to help keep my curl. It's working out pretty well for me. I love the curl maker! It makes my hair shiny and gives me perfect hold. I also like kinky curly curling custard, Cantu define and shine custard, and beautiful textures curl definer styling custard. All of which rinse clean out of my hair.

I commented on the other video but regarding the washing and the scent, you could always try rice water infused with herbs (or essential oil). Since the RW is supposed to be warm/hot then adding essential oil or herbs to it while it's warming up on the stove would be a great way to have sweet smelling water ^^

I might have to do this! I, too was going to give up on my hair!
I have been natural for about 15 years.
And the only reason why I don’t perm is because i’m allergic.
I have loc’ed before for 4 out of the 15 years and that is the only length/growth I have seen.
I came across your part 1 water only video and i’m like YESS!!! SOMEONE WITH THE SAME ISSUE AS ME!!! AND HAIR TYPE!
I’m definitely going to start this IMMEDIATELY!!!!
I will keep you posted too!!
    Thank you!!!

Wow thats amazing! Go for it. I did it and loved it and still use it incorporated with my multiple hair issues/regimens. Check out her WOHW YT channel or website (www.wateronlyhairwashing.com) with everything needed to start do this regimen. ua-cam.com/channels/w0jjBA8eh8qWwFHGYjHNHA.html - WOHW on YT. I studied them all, hahaha and made pubiic playlists out of them - WOHW CLEANSERS; WOHW CONDITIONERS etc.

I absolutely love this method, I achieve full coverage in 2 weeks. Having said that, even though I rinse my hair daily, by week 4 I begin to have that grayish yucky feeling stuff on my roots and on my length! that is when I do a bentonite clay wash to get rid of it but it will be back in just 2 weeks! As much as I love the method, I don't have energy for a clay wash bi-monthly.PS: I use a texturizer on my hair, so yes, if your hair is chemically treated it will work just as well, I have my most glorious braidout while doing this method.

Ah my sister, you and your hair looks beautiful.
I recently ran into or noticed some scalp issues and moved away from shampoo. I basically keep my hair cut low since the time of the high-top fade and curls.
But I was looking for a natural way of washing my hair and came by your video- I have never heard of washing African hair with water only as a proper thing, but it makes sense. So I will start this today.
    Thanks for sharing!

After clarifying i immediately used a homemade deep conditioner of pumpkin purée (i tried avocado once before and i like the pumpkin better) mixed with a little honey and sweet almond oil. i really recommend it! after completely rinsing it out, it left my hair soft with no build up. i couldn’t start this method with my hair feeling like straw.

You are SO cute, my dear! I absolutely LOVE listening to you. So positive and upbeat. Your advice is simple, clear and concise. My hair is fine and dry. I have been doing WOW since July 2015. I see some growth, but not what I expected. I will not give up though. I love this method. I will begin to use some leave-in because I thought that I couldn't use anything at all. My dryness is probably what is preventing me from achieving length. Thank you for your advice. I love the curl enhancing smoothie, but I thought that glycerin removes sebum. I also thought that glycerin would increase my dryness in these cold, dry months? BTW...has anyone ever told you that you look like Gabrielle Union? Pssst...(actually, you are prettier in my opinion. Nothing against her, just my humble opinion). Be blessed and please keep making videos.

Ok, I'm in! I have installed mini twists and will be starting on Sunday. It's Friday, 4-1-16 and the only reason I am waiting until Sunday is because my hair is stretched and I want to have stretched hair on my birthday tomorrow. So Sunday it is and I am super excited!
