Galvanic Cells (Voltaic Cells)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 лип 2024
- All about Galvanic Cells, which are also called Voltaic Cells. These are devices that use a chemical reaction to create electricity. Moving electrons create electricity, and electrons flow from the anode, the site of oxidation, to the cathode, the site of reduction. The galvanic or voltaic cell also includes a salt bridge, which helps to balance charge, and lets ions move between the two half cells. In this video, we'll talk about oxidation, reduction, cathodes, and anodes. We'll write redox half reactions for the two half cells, which show the gain and loss of electrons.
Look at his expressions...he's enjoying what he's teaching...Knowledge + passion = I need this teacher
These are teachers who make a difference. Those teachers who are never forgotten for life. Bravo Tyler!
@Smattless Just what I was about to say- Something definitely stinks to the point where it's disturbing
That's real talk Tbh
@Smattless i think its bc he hv like job or much more stuff to do tht he had lesser time to do vid.but he still do ig tho.

A moment of silence for how much time he spends arranging the materials
Sss he is so great and such a hard work he did to collect all those things right I have never seen such a super duper talented person in teaching

@@arsalanrizvi2302 he already did around 3 years ago.
@William Emina really😂😂
its like he understands how depressed and desperate I am to have arrived on youtube asking for chemistry help, and he institutionally uses a soothing voice to nurture me back to sanity.
I get depressed when I’m studying too and Tyler makes me feeling the exact same way..we are going to get through thiss
Honestly, he is so great
Omg same ,so may be I am not only one who not only find this informative but calming too lol
true! Im having breakdowns for 2 weeks now because of this not until I arrived here. His genuine smile considered me that I can understand it huhu 😭
So true
I'm speechless. This man must be in the top 10 for best teachers

It's crazy, man. It's been 8 years and I'm still watching this video to learn from this awesome teacher. He's so enthusiastic and dedicated to helping every student who watches his videos.
sad :(
cuz its been 8 years and u cant learn from a simple lecture
@@not.ur_zaru I apologize if my sentence structure was incorrect. I was using myself as an example. What I meant was that even though the video is quite old, students like me are still able to gain knowledge from it. Textbooks can sometimes be dull and difficult to comprehend, but this video has proven to be helpful despite its age.
I have a feeling that if I gave him enough papers and markers, he would be able to explain why my dad never came back with the milk

SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE THIS LEGEND: "THE BEST TEACHER ON EARTH " AWARD.
My Gosh...he is a true legend.. he makes my hate of college Chemistry go away (mind you my Dad is a biochemistry teacher). I have just watched this video to the end.. TOP TEACHER

As long as The Organic Chemistry Tutor and Professor Dave Explains get awards too. I highly recommend those two as well for excellent instruction.

@Rahat Uddin Mohammad same in Europe lol
Me totally the same
Eric M Earle college? I am currently learning this at year 7
ok. Why Voltage is not mentioned? Unfortunately it doesn't explain the whole thing....We could conclude that somehow electron movement through wire is caused by Cu2++ has strong pull for electrons? Actually this process these reactions maintain potential difference = Voltage. Am I right? So chemical explanation is different than physical?.....And for what solution needs to be neutral? It is shown at the end there 2 so4 ions so reaction could not continue at this point. Cu ions are needed to "catch" electrons and attach to cathode. The video should be longer.
BRO, Give this guy an award or smth! He's the best teacher I've ever come across, I mean just look at how he's enjoying it. And I personally feel that if a teacher is passionate about teaching his/her students, the students will also be happy to learn from him. Moreover, its not just his passion for teaching but think of how much time he spent in making those materials, then organizing them and finally presenting them on a video altogether. Perfect. I have no words. Thanks a lot for teaching me smth.
Note: I usually don't comment on UA-cam videos but this one, I had to do it.
I can't express how grateful I am for teachers like this on UA-cam. You teach us and give us free therapy. Thank you.
Hello Tyler, I'm an italian high school chemistry teacher. My compliments for your channel. I find that your lessons are explained with clearness and passion, very useful also for my students. I hope that you will continue in this project.

Suchh a great teacher😊
All the people who disliked this are teachers who can't make us understand.
I hate when some teachers are like super-serious all the time and never smile.
A lot of my math teachers are like that for some reason - always grave as hell and look like they could get annoyed by the slightest thing at any moment.

Thank you so much for your perfect teaching 😊
Wow. It is an absolutely fantastic presentation, sir. I have no doubt that this 20min video is the best Galvanic Cell explanation available (and I have seen many). Passionate explanation, no 3D graphs or fancy special effects, just a 2D cardboard and a brain ! The lecture would be incomplete without mentioning the salt bridge in detail, which just came in the end as the awaited cherry on the cake. Congrats! Just brillhant, Tyler.
I wish this guy was my chemistry teacher. Like this dude is top-tier skill level teacher.

An incredible channel. The way he explains makes me perfectly memorize everything, and the videos are so addicting.
The fact that he was smiling throughout the video shows his love for the subject. And I guess this is human instinct, but seeing him smile made me smile too ^^ Thanks Tyler!

I believe not everyone is a good teacher . The way he comes with those visuals to explain everything is great . He explains as if chemistry is the most easiest and interesting subject
I know right😮
He explains slowly and clearly, shows a visual to help us understand what's actually happening, and repeats it thrice afterward. THIS is how every teacher should be like! Thank you so much, Tyler!
This is the best explanation for this I’ve seen so far. I’m glad that I finally understand galvanic cells. You have made me pass my chemistry final, much appreciated
