  • All about Galvanic Cells, which are also called Voltaic Cells. These are devices that use a chemical reaction to create electricity. Moving electrons create electricity, and electrons flow from the anode, the site of oxidation, to the cathode, the site of reduction. The galvanic or voltaic cell also includes a salt bridge, which helps to balance charge, and lets ions move between the two half cells. In this video, we'll talk about oxidation, reduction, cathodes, and anodes. We'll write redox half reactions for the two half cells, which show the gain and loss of electrons.

ok. Why Voltage is not mentioned? Unfortunately it doesn't explain the whole thing....We could conclude that somehow electron movement through wire is caused by Cu2++ has strong pull for electrons? Actually this process these reactions maintain potential difference = Voltage. Am I right? So chemical explanation is different than physical?.....And for what solution needs to be neutral? It is shown at the end there 2 so4 ions so reaction could not continue at this point. Cu ions are needed to "catch" electrons and attach to cathode. The video should be longer.

BRO, Give this guy an award or smth! He's the best teacher I've ever come across, I mean just look at how he's enjoying it. And I personally feel that if a teacher is passionate about teaching his/her students, the students will also be happy to learn from him. Moreover, its not just his passion for teaching but think of how much time he spent in making those materials, then organizing them and finally presenting them on a video altogether. Perfect. I have no words. Thanks a lot for teaching me smth.

Wow! That was amazing, all 23 minutes of it! I never used to watch UA-cam videos for tutorials or lessons, because I could never find the right lesson. But your explanations were so clear and concise, that it cleared up nearly all of my confusion. I have never seen such a brilliant tutorial before. I sincerely congratulate you for your amazing effort and work! And you can definitely expect to hear from me again, should I ever have trouble! Thank you very much!
