I am a chem teacher and am relying on your videos during covid-19. Your site is the only one I have found to explain the material the way I do with the same depth of content and accurate. Thanks you for helping me and my students make this transition to online distance learning smooth and mostly painless.
In addition, since I have found you to be such an excellent instructor (and parents and kids clash at times), I have you "teach" my 8 year old (2nd grade) multiplying and dividing fractions. I then act as his tutor to explain concepts (such as negative numbers) that you introduce and clear up his confusion. I find it works out so much better this way, because when I am both teacher and tutor to him his frustration level rises rapidly when he does not grasp a concept immediately.

I wish I actually had a teacher that cared about teaching me, I'm having to watch this because she never let's me ask questions without ridiculing me in front of my classmates (I did physical schooling during covid).
I'm a usually good student and try to turn work in on time, but it's hard when your new in a school and a teacher immediately begins to put you down for wanting to ask questions. It sucks too because I was beginning to break my shy fear of asking questions for help, now I feel like I can't do that anymore.

@@autumnrainstorm9168 Hey Autumn I just caught your comment 6 mo late. I’m in my 60s and I’ve been teaching classes online for 15+ years and not just since COVID. Be BOLD. Never let piss poor instructors intimidate you. Remember whether k-12 or college…YOU ARE PAYING THEM. THEY WORK FOR YOU. The reason teachers try to intimidate students who question them is very simple…THEY DO NOT KNOW THE MATERIAL beyond the basic level they are presenting. So instead of saying “I don’t know but let’s find out together” - they shut you down. True content experts (very rare K-12 and more rare than you’d think on the college level) don’t need their textbooks or their notes. They’re experts. Good teachers welcome the questions and the exchange, as long as you’re respectful (I don’t mean brown-nosing… just common courtesy). If I have a student jumping in a little too often (so I can’t get through the material) I might say “great question- let’s finish this and I’ll come right back to it before we’re out of here today”. But good teachers know that if there are a bunch of questions THEY are either FAILING to present the material so it can be understood OR they are doing a great job which has spawned deeper interest among the class. In either case they WELCOME the questions. Questions are what has made me a much better teacher today than I was 40 yrs ago.

@@HBSuccess Sadly, teachers don't always realize the powerful effect they can have on a studient's destiny... As a kid, i couldn't wait to have chemistry classes i was so curious to understand how it works... but the chemistry teacher made me feel like she didn't like me... i totally lost interest in everything she would say. As a teenager, i didn't know how important that period of time was for my future. I should have left my personnal feelings aside and focus on the preciousness of the informations that were delivered to me... I have been bullied enough at elementary school, i wouldn't give a rat's ass about any teacher putting me down in front of others at high school... Now, at 42 years old, i am trying to catch up with what i missed back then...

I had to hand out the chemistry book back to school and I really can't concentrate reading the online version of it. This video alone was 2/3 of what I studied in 2020 + extra stuff, and I am really thankful for finding this. I wrote 20 pages of notes with your video that are 10x more informative than the 76 I wrote along last year. Yeah, this pretty much is the start of my 2nd year of university, the real start of my bachelor degree in chemistry, starts this Sunday coming, looking forward and so glad I have so much content to watch, as a visual learner (being dyslexic) videos like these are literally the only way I can study and learn information, without channels like this one I would have no shot at passing university.

You're amazing, I'm from Switzerland and we are more general so its hard to go into a more detailed course or advanced one at my age (14). I started chemistry in 6th grade but I realized that there just was so much missing that not even are teacher knew. Im so glad i found your channel, you answer every question not as complicated as Wikipedia but not baby lvl, this helps allot of students who are in middle school who know the basics but not enough for using online sources to study! I recommend chemistry enthusiasts all around the world to check out your vids on organic chemistry and physics

@@grarglejobber7941 You are saying that because of that statistic, a black person can't be smart? That a certain black person can't be the smartest person in the room. The mistake in that argument is that everyone can learn, but not many are in environments that allow them to even begin to fulfill any potential. A lot of black people aren't in schools that don't spoon-feed information in the way that is most effective, because these schools lack the resources. That is why they may have a lower iq ON AVERAGE.... but they all have the same potential to be bright, just like everyone else. In my school, the person with the highest SAT school is A BLACK FEMALE. A 1560, or a 1580 superscore. Treating black people like they are lesser is so wrong, because everyone has the same potential to be bright - treating them like they are lesser just makes it harder for them to reach that potential.
