That the full capabilities of the digital light system aren't yet unlocked in the US is an absolute travesty. Thanks for the video - it really is a nice car.

They are discontinuing in 2030? So what - is my stance. That is 6 years down the line. Car manufacturers cancel car models with no notice all the time. Also Mercedes is really feeling out the market with the EQS their flip flop stance shows that. We will see what happens.
Have you had a problem with A/C not working? I just got EQS SUV (btw…really enjoy your videos). My SUV is brand new. Literally less than 600 miles. Well, the A/C stopped working. The fans work, but the air is not cooled. Am wondering if you had any issues with A/C. Thanks for your videos.
Wow, that is a problem. No, my A/C has not been a problem... loud when it's really hot outside until the temperature inside balances out, but not a problem. You have something wrong, please take it in soon! The EQS is too nice to not work right.
I am glad my EQS isn't broken too! Yeah, I used the title because I've seen folks talking bad about EVs and taking any chance to laugh about decisions like this. As I said, I think the EQS was a good, "look what we can do" effort but an electric S-Class will probably be the better answer in the long run.
I bought mine essentially because I was looking for an electric S class, having owned a w221 in the past. There are some benefits to having an electric vehicle designed Separately from the equivalent ice vehicle, but it's definitely going to be easier to market a different version of the S class as opposed to a separate car entirely. Love the EQS so far. Every bit of the S class experience as the old 221
isn't this the best car of all time !!! I love mine. I have a 450. What an opportunity to buy a used one right now. such a bargain. I've seen them for 50k low miles. I saw a 580 for 54, but a buy-back. Full warranty
Just bought one in Europe for $90k, so jealous of US resale prices though. I guess with fuel so high in Europe (gas is at the lowest in years but still $8.5 a gallon) EV resale value is a lot higher.
@@fatjohn1408 the biggest hit for our resale values is the infrastructure. I cannot go to certain places because there are no public chargers within the area. Further, reliability with the public chargers is not consistent yet. Finally, when you find a good charger, you may have to wait an hour before you get to spend 30 minutes charging your car - taking 90 plus minutes out of a trip to charge, compared to 5 minutes with a gas car, scared off our market. When they fix the public charging experience (including putting a cover over us so we are not exposed to the elements as much), our resale values will go up.
A buy back can be a good option! You just have to see what the reason is. Sometimes MB will buy cars back for trivial reasons just to maintain customer satisfaction
I presume you mean the 2025 model (and maybe the AMG). I really enjoy the star pattern on the front grill looks great - would like to have the option to have the little stars light up.
The black EQS I saw at the dealer's looked fantastic from the outside. I currently own 2 E class Diesels, a 2007 and a 2008, and they also look and drive great. BUT I hate how Mercedes has messed up with the NAMES of its cars, e3sp the NUMBER designations. WHY is my 320 Bluetec called 320 and not 300, AS IT SHOULD? It has a 3.0 and not a 3.2 lt engine. WORSE, why does Mercedes call YOUR car the so-called "580"??? WHAT THE HELL DOES THE 580 stand for? Don't try too hard, I'll tell you: IT DOES NOT STAND FOR A GOD DAMNED THING. EVEN in the ICE version, I bet the "S 580" does NOT have, as it should, a 5.8 lt engine. TOO EFFING BAD, MERCEdeS.
@@anastassiosperakis2869 the numbering system changed years ago to identify model changes vs engine size. Just like the Datsun/Nissan 240Z became the 260Z, 280Z, 280ZX, 300Z, etc., Mercedes decided over a decade ago to use their numbers to identify variations in their cars, instead of just using engine sizes. So, the 2009 S550 included a 5.5L engine and a 4.7L engine - they realized advances in engine technology would result in some smaller engines producing higher HP and decided they could no longer match model numbers to engine size. They also then began using S350 and S450 to identify other variations of the S-Class. After the S550 came the S560 in 2018 and the S580 came in 2021. The numbers now identify generations, not engine size. So, you can identify a S550 was from 2009-2017, a S560 was grin 2018-2020, and the S580 is 2021 and newer. They then simply matched the EQ model numbers to match the variation of the gas model.

I like my EQS SUV. It was 30% off, brand new and with a2.5% interest rate, it costs less than a Tesla, and is so much better
I agree and the best part about it is you don’t have to support an alt right asshole !
47 seconds in and I already love this guy
I love my EQS 580 with rear wheel steering.
Thank you. Definitely will take it in. Other than that, just like you, absolutely enjoy the car. Best wishes. Andrew.
I'm missing something because my EQS doesn't have all-digital lighting like your car's displayed. I have only 2 choices
