Gloomrot has been nothing but amazing for V Rising! I might start doing PVP again soon so more V Rising videos should be coming out. How's your experience with the update so far? Let me know!

You may already know this, but the best mineral/wood collecting weapon is actually the greatsword. While it states its good vs wood, it actually hits harder on mineral then a same level mace, also its two abilities speed up things by a lot! For flowers and grass, still sword and slashers the best though (new whip's 1st skill is a nice contender though!).

Quick comment about the resource gathering perk for blue/orange weapons.
Imo, you don't really need this on an orange. You're probably much better served having your strongest gear give primarily combat bonuses, particularly when you can just get high grade worker blood which amplifies resource gain. So, if you want resource yield on a weapon, its better to put it on a blue weapon with the lower crafting cost rather than an orange. just my opinion though.

I have some footage here from a private game that we just use for base building but I agree, and if you look at my gear on the public server I have my resource gathering on a blue greatsword. Maximum you can get with that is +19% resource yield bonus which in imo is more than enough, especially if combined with worker blood and shards.

I just started playing so dont know much. My castle is very close to starting point. And it takes ages to travel. Is it going to be like that all game or is there some moving mechanics that i dont know? Teleports are unlocked, but no resources can me moved...

Farbane is actually very convenient because of the cave systems in the game. Once you start farming in end game areas, the usual loop is that you'd teleport to the vampire teleporter in the area, do whatever you need to do, and then travel back to Farbane through the caves which saves a lot of time.
Only thing is you'd have to know which cave leads where. I have a video on base locations if you'd like to see which base locations might work for you whether you'd like to stay in Farbane or check out other bases in other regions, I also showed the location of the caves there if that helps.

Great video! I had a quick question, maybe you can give me answer on it. How good are Sentry Officers as servants for base defense? I got a 98% Sentry Officer and thought they were sort of unique since they can summon a sentry to attack. Does that sentry scale with the officers gear score and is it worth?
Asking since I'm currently on a solo/duo server and can only have 8 servants. Thanks!

That's a great question! I haven't had the time to try out the new enemies as base defenders so take this with a grain of salt but I think they are still outclassed by servants like the Paladin, Cleric, Lightweaver and Priest since the overall damage plus healing that these units have is just very annoying to fight against, especially if they are grouped in an enemy castle.
Just based on fighting those sentry officers, they're fairly squishy and that's the same for the sentries they spawn. PVP players would probably just throw a Reaper E on them and they'd die.
I'm interested in trying out the shielder from Gloomrot though since the CC might be useful. I'll take a note and maybe make a servant guide video for Gloomrot.

@@Kaganath this would be really cool because in general there is not a lot of robust information about this aspect of the game. a tier list of servant types backed by some small amount of data would be really cool. like, maybe judge how well different types of servants do against the various types of enemies you can summon from the vermin nest, or against a trappable wandering boss.

growing stuff inside castle should be deleted from the game, so that it forces players to go outside, farm, and engage in the world and in pvp. In endgame everyone just walls its off inside their own castles and not grind out materials in the open world.

I kind of like how it is now, it feels like you're being naturally incentivized to behave vampirically, and have to resist the nature of your experience to participate in the world
