Basically everything I know about shooting video has been learned via UA-cam, but with no exaggeration this was hands down the most helpful tutorial I've watched to date. Color grading has had me banging my head against the wall so often it had me questioning whether or not I was cut out for this. This video was a game changer, thank you for this!!
This is by far the best tutorial I've seen, and for someone who's only about 9 months in to lightly babbling with correction and looking to become better at it, this is soooo helpful.
I've learned so much about editing from you guys love all the help and knowledge. Thank you for the hard work and dedication to making these videos.
Great breakdown! Loved how you were able to take many complex topics and distill it to a 16 minute video
Thank you, Becki. It is a very helpful clip. I always appreciate you and Chris efforts to create very helpful clips. Two thumbs up !!!
Wow! Nobody on UA-cam that I've seen has done that 3 adjustment layer color grading approach. It's definitely my favorite approach by far! It helps organize things and clear them up so much! Thank you!!!
This is honestly the best no-nonsense tutorial on colour grading i've seen. I didn't know there was a rec 709 LUT direct from Sony and you've shown me a few tips with the masking! thank you so much!
Awesome job breaking down your process for grading your footage. 👏🎨 It definitely shows how much time & effort goes into producing each video...keep up the sweet work guys! Almost at 💯K!! 🎉▶️📽️
"Who do you want to call?" "No ONE!"
This is the first time I've laughed in a tutorial video in a while.
These people are more professional than half the UA-cam channels available. They are very professional. Their way of teaching is really great too
This is the first colour grading tutorials i ever seen, deeply explanations thanks for this
We are just getting into content creation and using Premiere Pro. This video is very helpful to understand the process you use and improvement to our workflow. There is so much we have to learn. Your videos are really helpful.
Amazing tutorial as always. Some stuff like the secondary colour masking for skin tones is new to me so thank you for showing me that!
The bomb setup and whole process.. I really loved it. I never use adjustment layers and this looks so much easier. Thank you. Learned a lot.
Two fantastic back-to-back videos on color grading! Thanks guys!
Thank you times a million. I have watched many tutorials and your video is the first time I actually have a grasp of what I should be doing.
Wow that was a lot to digest. I need to watch this about 30 more times. Thank you for sharing.
You guys are awesome, thanks for sharing all your tips, tricks, and knowledge!
This has been my favorite episode. Well done and thank you!
Super helpful tutorial, Becki! I liked the idea colour correction in adjustment layers. I always applied it to individual clips and copied/pasted them over to similar clips. That tip alone's a massive time saver.
OMG, the absolute best colour tutorial I have watched, thank you - answered months of questions :)
I love your color grades. This tutorial did not disappoint. Thank you!
Wow! I would love an in-depth course... this vid is sooo much better than what I’ve seen so far on YT on grading LOG footage... very practical
Thanks, best color grading tutorial I've seen so far. Doesn't totally hold your hand, and gets into the details of most of the functions!
Finally the video iv been waiting for! Thanks!!
good to know that i'm not the only one who's intrigue on how you color your videos. thanks so much for this.
Thanks for this! I've been doing a super basic version of this for my videos, definitely learned a lot of new things I'm excited to try out.
Perfect way to start the weekend.
I'VE BEEN WAITING ON THIS FOR SO LONG!!!! YES!
Becki, I love this thorough and detailed video! It was super helpful to see this. Great job and thank you!
I have watched allot of tutorials regarding color correction and grading tutorials. But trust me this one was the most detailed one
This was an incredible video. It answered so many questions I wasn't getting answers to after watching countless other color grading videos. Thanks! Subscribed!
This is one of the best color grading tutorial.
Thank you!!!
Separate adjustment layers is a brilliant tip. Thank you!
I never knew about the adjustment layer until I watch the video. Usually I use LUTS on each individual footage as primary color correction. Thank you for the useful tip!
Seiyoshin glad it was useful!
This is one of the best color grading tutorials on UA-cam - great work!
a year late but by far the most helpful color correction video Ive seen
One of the most helpful videos ever! Thank you thank you.
Awesome stuff demystified a lot of things for me thank you very much!!!
this is one of the best color grading videos i have seen!! love the technique of the 3 layers!! im gonna applied it!!
Great Video! Can't wait for that Slog to Rec709 lut. That will be tremendously helpful!
Great tutorial and I liked the pace as well, I know it might be a little too fast for people who are totally new but I appreciate all the information packed into a short amount of time.
Very cool! A great way to put it. Most of the time I just stack the effects in one adj.layer, or apply basics on the clips, but this is a more organized way of doing it. Cheers!
Great video! Really cool to see all the settings used in action!
I love your work ...I am barely starting to shoot music videos and now am editing and color correcting..your videos help alot. thank you
Thank youuu! Great work flow I always go back and forth on my grading it gets so massy love this process
Awesome video!! I'm kinda initiating on video and color grading, so this was very explainable, and I rather understand how it works, and not just slam a LUT on it and go! So I can't wait for the LOG video!!! Again, great content Becki!
This is a REAALLY really great tutorial! Thank you!!!
Best teacher yet. Love this video.
Adopting the trick of using the 3 adjustment layers. Always struggled with the primary corrections on multiple clips this simplifies it so much and it's such a great little trick.
Very informative. I subscribed just on the fact that I learned more from this one video than any other instructional video I watched on this topic so far. Nice work 👍🏽
Love your workflow and aesthetic!!! Amazing!!
shkspear52 thanks a million!

Rodney Sanchez glad to hear that! Thanks!
This is a really great tutorial! Most of the tutorials about colour grading these days are just people using their own luts so that they can self-advertise, so this was really refreshing :)
Great tutorial! I'm sure a lot of beginners will love to have a resource like this to learn from 👍

This color grading video is the best so far on entire youtube. It's almost perfect! I've been instructed about the approach to color correct and grade in davinci. My friend been on a expensive course and he been trained by pro who color grade for TV. You are doing similar to this "PRO" way. Congrats!
Excelente video!!! Muchísimas gracias!
Thank you so much for all the great and useful content provided!!!
Clóvis Alves you are welcome!
Awesome video Becki!! Super glad I found our channel! I'm trying to teach myself how to edit to help my wife out, so I have a feeling I'll spend a stupid amount of time on this channel. I'd love to see a more in depth video on the Lumetir Color Scope!! That sounds super interesting! Thanks!
I don't know if you guys are doing something different in this video compared to past videos, but DAMN, this looks so sharp. Not that you previous stuff has looked soft but something about this video looks waaaayyyyyy crispier. Keep killing it!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I've got a video due tomorrow which I should on Canon c300mii's using Canon log 2 and I've never "properly" put in the time to teach myself the correct way to grade footage! Awesome awesome tutorial : )
The tutorial is excellent.
People are beautiful.
The background music sounds good.
Thanks for making this. I'm currently editing the video for my rowing squad and this really helped. I was wandering if you had any tips about transitioning between clips.
Actually super stoked to watch this rn, color grading is something i've always pushed away but def adds so much value
So good! You guys crush the tutorial game 👏
Mason Summers thanks my dude that means a lot!
Good stuff. Long time AVID editor here making the move to Premiere Pro. Your vids are very helpful.
I love the separation of 3 adjustment layers. My sorry behind was always adjusting the clips after adding utility luts lol. time to giddy up and create 3 layers. w00t w00t
The Patels makes it easier for sure, though I’ve definitely been caught adjusting clips!
Im exited for your LUT!
great video, thanks for all the info. really love your color style!!!
