It's strange how Reinhard's commanders mostly had more personality than Yang's commanders, but Yang's forces definitely had way more personality than Reinhard's forces.

Re: Tank Beds The Alliance has them too. While the anime never mentions it, there probably has to be some kind of downside using tankbeds. Maybe they help remove fatigue, but the mind still functions a bit slower. Or maybe tank beds cause a temporary weakening in the ability to form memories, as I distinctly remember one of the characters saying that people don't dream in tank beds. If there wasn't a major downside, then characters would have probably started using them in day to day life as well - After all, being able to make every day 50% longer would kinda be a big deal.
Animaster89 man if I just fought a war of attrition for days straight against the largest force in the universe you better believe I'd pass out the second it's all clear, tank beds be damned. It's not a plot hole, it ain't exactly something so hard to figure out that the show needs to explain it
You know, if someone ever did an Abridged version of this part of Mobile Suit Gundam, they should do the "Everybody Sleeps" song from Sesame Street...it is begging for that sort of moment.
