I really like the idea of a Murphy bed! In the middle of the night when you get up to feed the baby you can have that Murphy bed to go to, so it eamon can get rest. So when the baby wakes up in the morning he can come take the baby from you cause he's all rested and you can rest! ❤ I know it sounds a little crazy but my sister has 5 kids and her and my brother inlaw worked that system to make sure that both of them weren't burnt out at the same time. You both are going to be the best parents! 👶👣

I recommend this so much!!- a pack and play that is also a bassinet!! 100× over. You can more it room to room. In the early months its helps to sleep in the bedroom while the other is with the baby so you can sleep. If your going with family you can take it with you! Also id start planning on baby proofing- you always think you have the time after they are born... you don't.
Reminds me of our first home when we were newly married which was built in the 1950s. We decided that we needed a sleeper sofa to put in our basement family room, which had a low ceiling much like your guest room/nursery. To make a long story short, the first sleeper sofa was so overstuffed, we couldn't even get it in the front door and had to send it back. The 2nd and final sleeper sofa we bought, we had to remove several basement steps and cut a hole in the basement ceiling to get it into position in the family room. I wanted to out a HVAC vent in that room anyway so the hole was put to good use! Good luck!
Bec & Eamon ( and any dog owner reading this) I’m sure you’re aware, but just in case, there is a dog flu going around. They are calling it the “dogvid”; It’s a type of pneumonia and it’s scary dangerous. The signs are very minuscule, coughing and breathing differently. If you notice this, or if they stop eating, go straight to your vet. The outcome could be fatal. Please make sure Oso is up on all his vaccinations. I love that little pup so much, I just want him safe. I know you’re both good doggy parents, so I’m sure you are up to date with everything. You guys did an awesome job with room, it’s fantastic! The way you get “ stuck in” and get it done is awesome. I love your drive. It’s good to see you both so happy! Take care. ❤

Just a tip from my experience. I tried to hang a shower curtain and stretching legs and arms for something so simple made me start to spot. I can't remember how far along I was but it was not good for baby. The wood looks very light but just consult with Dr about chores and things you can do. The sack the baby is in is very pliable, but we really don't know what the stress level is for Mom and baby in which month to cause a bleed, or stress. Keep up the videos guys, I enjoy!
You did an excellent job! I don't know about using that room for guests though... unless you are eventually going to build a room for the baby... Kids grow SO quick... you will need bunk beds for them and their buddies more often than a guest bed... that and as they grow, toys and junk are going to fill that room... Making moving everything out, so you can get that bed down, more of a hassle than it's worth! Of course my ex husband and I were both only children, so our kids were spoiled (by the grandparents) beyond belief! LOL It's a wonderful idea... just not very practical... You will understand as the room fills up! There is NEVER enough room! LOL! Don't mean to laugh. but until you live it, you won't understand!
The crib that you bought that don’t fit in the room to the doorway keep that in like the living room in the kitchen so you have a place to put the baby instead of just keep going in and out of that room and too late if you’re in the living room and you need to put the baby down, you can put the baby down in that crib same thing if it’s in the kitchen cooking cleaning maybe in the crib those in there or you can find someone that is having a baby sooner than you. You can also give them that crib.
I'm so glad you got a change table. I loved mine. I know many think it is not necessary but it was for me. Also I usually put my PJ's in a dresser but I have also put them under my pillow, especially when away from home. It is great that you are getting everything ready ahead of time so you can really rest (hopefully) near the end.

It's been a long time since I left a comment. You two almost out did yourselves on this one. This episode is going to be one of my all time favorites!! Cute, funny, and brought back so many memories of being a young parent. ❤❤
Love the room❤ But! If you haven't done it already you need to put a locking system on the bed. I had two boys and I'm amazed they lived through there childhood. My youngest especially. We had a small tv on top of a file cabnet. Around 18 mo. He decided to pull all the drawers out at the same time. If I weren't there to push him out of the danger zone, he would of been under the cabnet and TV. He did the same thing with are Murphy Ben at our cabin, luckily I was there too. They both had locks a few minutes later! Unfortunately his accidents lasted in adult hood and too numerous to mention!
So... the guest bedroom is in the basement. You also have the loft for guests. Don't pretend your cabin isn't actually fully spacious enough for a nursery. Most people don't even have an extra bedroom for a baby, but they still make it work without making stuff up for views.
Not sure if you found something already, but I highly recommend the BabyBay! Doubles as a bedside sleeper/bassinet/and crib and wheels are optional...so happy for you guys! We're slightly ahead of you at 34 weeks with our first as well!

💟Be sure to bolt furniture to wall!!! Kids are natural climbers and too many children have died from furniture toppling over on them!!!!!!! I love the room congratulations guys! I love the stokke crib it grows with your baby so can be super small in the beginning but it also has wheels so you can move it in and out of our room to wherever the baby is
Before you fill the baby chest consider making it higher. Especially with your back issues. Lifting baby from a low bench is hard on your back. You are tall and benches are made for shorter people. ❤😊

For safety consider a latch on the Murphy bed as they are known for opening on their own
