The ringing notes have a ghostly and hypnotic feeling. Kind of puts you in a meditative state.
If you practice on two different songs it's recommended you have 2 guitars, since this arrangement has a pretty odd tuning. It's recommended to download the tuner app PitchLab Lite to your phone or use a regular guitar tuner.
To get this tuning start with standard tuning (EADGBE) and lower the low "E" a semitone to "D#", raise the "A" a semitone to "A#", lower the "B" a semitone to "A#", raise the high "E" a semitone to "F", lastly put a capo on 2nd fret!

Felt that, miss the old late night ds1 days when you did not know where you were going or what you were doing. Were simpler times then, now im on my 10th run. If only i could have enjoyed the moment more on my first playthrough instead of mindlessly rampaging the whole game.
I envy people who still have the opportunity to experience Dark Souls 1 for the first time.

i always have these moments when enjoying any souls content, but then I go back into the game, get fucked up cause I haven't played in months, get pissed off at some bullshit, realize the graphics aren't even that good and the game is buggy and quit pissed off.
The game is a very elusive pleasure, I definitely enjoy it more in my mind from the memories of hundreds of hours of playing than the actual playthroughs these days, I really wish I could experience it for the first time again.

Not gonna lie this is my favorite part of Dark Souls' soundtrack (despite not even being on the official soundtrack)
I was really disappointed when I bought the soundtrack and this song wasn't part of it. This is the first music you ever hear from the game when you make your character and to me it's the most defining piece of music in the whole franchise

This actually made me wanna start pick up my guitar and stay dedicated to learn it. I'm also doing a playthrough of DS1 and it taught me alot about patience and failure and who knew a game could do that.

I remember my first time playing dark souls and creating my character while this song was playing. When the song reached the last part and got tense I thought some fucked up boss or something would attack me or hit me even though I hadn´t even created the character.

Mao West It's hard to answer that question with one answer. It can vary a lot from song to song.
It depends on the complexity of the arrangement and if it's an orchestra or a guitar performance. If I transcribe an easy song it usually takes less than 1 hour. If it's a complex orchestra it takes 2-6 hours, followed by many hours and days of rearranging to simplify it for one guitar.
Sometimes I could get stuck for hours realizing it's not possible to perform the arrangement fluidly.
After a couple of weeks I try again and suddenly find a solution and rearrange it in just a couple of minutes.

My E string broke and i cant play it anymore, there is something magical about playing this song, it relaxes you and you end up playing it for long amounts of time.

Never played this game, but the music is so calming and melodic.
Oh, you should then. After some playing, you'll feel a deep hollow solitude hearing this song, but curiously it's very comforting too. I used to play this game after midnight, it was great to explore some "unused" feelings we have. Plus, the game is a piece of art.

Dark souls is an experience. Never played until a few weeks ago, I feel accomplished in a way because not a lot of people play it because they think is difficult or they play it but get put off by it for the same reason.

Hey, nice cover! But i don't understand how to play 0:36-0:38 part. The tabs show, that player must press the second fret on first and second string, but you pressing the third on the second string only . I did the same thing, but unfortunately the melody was different
If you watch closely you will see that I barre the 1st and second string with the side of my index finger, while keeping the rest of the chord. It might need some practice.
