This is stunning! How do you get your cake covering to look so smooth? I saw your comment about heating up ones scraper, but is the white icing? fondant? thanks!
I'm planning on doing a birthday cake for my sister but she isnt a big fan of 'flashy stuff' so i'll do less of the flowers so its more minimalistic. I've tried buttercream roses but it's too hot here in Jamaica so they melted a bit when I removed them for the freezer so I thought i'd give this technique a try! Hopefully it goes well :)
I’ve never tried! I would Imagine it would be a bit of a hassle since whipped cream doesn’t firm up. If you ever test it out I’d love to know how it turned out!
thank you!! I would stick it back in the fridge about every 30 minutes so the buttercream could firm up again. It makes it a lot easier to work with when the buttercream on the cake is cold and firm
What can I say. This cake is so beautiful, flowers - perfect. I had never seen before something like that😍😍😍. I have one question. Is basic cover buttercream too? Thanks for this video. Greetings from Poland 🙂🙂🙂.
Absolutely pretty ...look at the colour combinations.......what finesse....yet that casual look....Hats off to you. Iam surely going to try it out. You are just st amazing...got magic in your fingers.Stay blessed.
If you mean, during the time of painting it on the cake, it is always better to be chilled, some buttercreams really need to be chilled because it is unstable and it will not hold up while you paint it.
Thank you for slowing down and teaching us step-by-step!

This is awesome..can we paint buttercream on a whipped cream iced cake
I’ve never tried! I would Imagine it would be a bit of a hassle since whipped cream doesn’t firm up. If you ever test it out I’d love to know how it turned out!
What kind of butter cream mixing did u used?
Is it possible with whipped cream?
U made on a fondant cake or normal whipped cream base cake?
Very very pretty...is this possible with boiled icing?
yes! I think boiled icings are actually much easier to use with this technique
Your tutorial is very helpful! Thanks for posting it! Do you refrigerate or freeze your cake before "painting" on it? And for how long?
Ayesha Farooqui thank you! I refrigerate it till it’s firm 😄 about 30 min to an hour
So pretty and perfect..may i ask if you put it every other mins inside the fridge after you paint it? Or just after you finish painting?
thank you!! I would stick it back in the fridge about every 30 minutes so the buttercream could firm up again. It makes it a lot easier to work with when the buttercream on the cake is cold and firm
Ok ma’am..thank you😍
Can boiled icing work with this kind of design..thanks..nice work of you..
Rean Lynvi Cuchapin yes you can definitely use it! Any icing works as long as it hold it’s shape well :)
Supper👌👌👌
Fantastic video! Should the cake be at room temperature or cold when painting it?
I Baked It cold! I always recommend decorating your cake cold to avoid any unwanted dents
Que coisa mais linda!
What can I say. This cake is so beautiful, flowers - perfect. I had never seen before something like that😍😍😍. I have one question. Is basic cover buttercream too? Thanks for this video. Greetings from Poland 🙂🙂🙂.
Elżbieta Sobota thanks so much!! Yes it’s covered in American buttercream 😋
@@bakeupcakes Beautiful cake!
Is it necessary that the basic coating should be buttercream?
lujain345 For the best results you’re going to want to use a firm base so things like ganache and fondant would work as well!
Absolutely pretty ...look at the colour combinations.......what finesse....yet that casual look....Hats off to you.
Iam surely going to try it out.
You are just st amazing...got magic in your fingers.Stay blessed.
Lovely! Thank you so much.
MB Hanson thank you! 🥰

Shani Navoda buttercream
Can I make by using whipping cream?
Ayshu's Kitchen yes! Just make sure it’s a stabilized whipped cream
BakeUp thank u
Can the buttercream be room temp or does it have to be chilled?
If you mean, during the time of painting it on the cake, it is always better to be chilled, some buttercreams really need to be chilled because it is unstable and it will not hold up while you paint it.
Can this be done with a whipping cream?
Anjana Ajith yes! As long as the whipped cream holds its shape well
Can we use whipped creme instead?
Please show butter cream recipe
Zaynab Nayani I have it up on my channel, it’s the very first video :)
What is the consistency of icing? Please.
It’s a thin consistency! Just make sure it’s not too thin, you still need it to hold its shape 😄
If u are going to sell that cake, how much it'll cost? Thanks 😊
it depends how long it takes and the size of the cake. definitely between $120-$200 for a small size :)
Love the video. To make the florals how thick was the buttercream icing?
You’re going to want to use a thin consistency! Just make sure it’s not too thin that it doesn’t hold its shape ☺️
🥰
