    Watching your videos allowed me to play for hours on $5 machines (tables were all $25 minimum, outside the budget of my bankroll). I just did a simple $6 on 6 and 8s, with a 2-2-1 odds on the pass line budget strategy. I was up about $500 for the week vacation. Fun times. Thank you!

    On my only visit to Vegas I turned $20 into $100 on a few tries of bubble craps and eventually worked up the courage to play a table for the first time, I found a $5 table at the El Cortez and played the inside numbers, took single/double odds and the odd hard ways on the point, 90 minutes later walked away with $240 after tipping the dealers and waitress - got some of your other videos and some good rolls to thank for a great night out.

      @ColorUp So the 3rd guy betting on the don't pass line. Could he put $10 on odds, and if the 7 hits, he would get paid 2 to 1. Or is the odds bet only for the pass line? Thanks for all the great info.

    Beginners should also know place bets can be “taken down” at any time. A lot of players are embarrassed to ask for place bets to be taken down but it’s perfectly acceptable to politely ask the dealer to “take me down” off whatever numbers you’ve placed. Often times I keep my place bets up for a maximum of 6 rolls then take them down cause odds are big red is coming. :)

      GREAT call!!!
      For me in the REAL world, usually MOST players CAN'T roll for MORE than 4 times and usually will seven-out on either the 4th or 5th roll, as I USED to go for 6 rolls. The ONLY time I will go for 6 rolls with a random shooter, and I am using the iron-cross strategy, is if there is a dice-setting shooter who uses controlled-shooting throws!

    I like to do a combination of your 2nd and 3rd strategy. Don't bet and then place the 6 and 8. That way you hedge the hurt of a PSO, but can still make some bank on a long roll!

    Solid advice Jeremy, great low rollin strategies. I like to play this way after I have overshot a win goal and have a few extra checks after coloring up. Saturday I hit my win goal and colored up with $74 extra. I placed table min. 6&8 and put the dealers on the hardways. Another shooter rolled a monster and I low rolled more than my original win.

    First time I tried craps was at a casino in Lake Tahoe. I was Player #1 in this scenario, mostly because I was still learning how the game worked. Everybody else was making various place bets (because I guess betting Passline is pretty boring). Quite a few random horn bets too (if only to get a reaction).

    I really liked this comparison of the different strategies. As a beginner i play when I visit vegas from the UK and with a low investment of my money and use the winnings to get up onto the other numbers and then once I have recoup my initial investment I alternate between pressing and same bet. Its surprising how quick the money comes in with a hot table and when you realise how much you are betting on a table. I'm used to betting on $5 tables but believe their aren't that many in vegas anymore. Thanks for another great video

    It's so funny to see how you kept rolling and had a streak where no 7 was rolled. Players kept getting their bets paid out. Then all of a sudden the 7 comes and almost all bets lose...this is where it's really visible that sooner or later the house always wins!! :)

    I have played the first 2 options after a bad session and lost half my bank roll. I have managed to bring myself out of the trenches and bringing myself up over my original 200.00 that I started with so they can really be a good way of playing with minimal buy in. I know the field isn’t a good bet but I’ve also pulled myself out of a bad situation by only playing the field. Luck just happened to be on my side.

    As for the place 6 and 8 strategy after the point is established, once you recoup your $24 investment in the 6 and 8 and are now playing with house money, I suggest one of 2 strategies:
    Strat 1: Press the 6 or 8 one unit every subsequent time it hits, then 2 units the next time, then 1 unit, then 2 and so forth.
    Strat 2: Place the remaining numbers that aren't the point with your next 3 hits on the 6 and 8, then use the 1 unit, 2 unit press on all 5 numbers. You had one heck of a nice roll at the end of the video. Place bettor would have made at least $300 to $400 profit. We never know when the huge roll is going to come along, so, you gotta assume every roll is going to be that monster roll.

You won’t get the same amount of looks from people when playing the dark side and so so rarely does someone crap out on the 1st roll after the come out. Plus, they usually get a 7 or yo out of their system for a couple rolls before they set the point.

    I was at Horseshoe Tunica the other day.
    The strategy I used was Iron cross, but with hardways and odds. I took $30 on 6 and 8 and $15 on the 5 and 15 in the field, so any number hits I make at least couple dollars profit. If field Rolls I immediately take that money and press my 5. Then keep putting 15 in the field. I take my hits on the 5, 6, and 8 from then on. Next time field hits I take the winnings and get a $5 hardway. This strategy works well if you have a shooter that even hits medium amounts of rolls. Obviously if you are hitting the 7 too often you are screwed. I ended up losing but was up $450 until I stayed on cold dice. I shoulda modified it when they went cold but the crown royal got to me LMAO

    This was a FANTASTIC idea to show competing strategies with the SAME BR - Bankroll.
    However, if you want to make this PERFECT and MORE REALISTIC, here is what I would suggest:
    1. You should be shooting from a REALISTIC POSITION on the table, which in THIS case, should've been one-stick RIGHT! And you can have 2 cameras record this - one from your one-person to the right of the stickman, and the other camera to record the result of the dice throws and then do a split-screen on the playback.
    2. Let everyone know - but everyone can see what you're doing but it's STILL better to announce it BEFORE you start shooting - that you are going to make RANDOM throws with the dice by picking it up, shaking it a little and then throwing them, for EVERY roll, throughout the whole game. This way people can see you are NOT using dice-setting with controlled shooting - MY preferred way to toss the dice in the real-world - because maybe YOU prefer to do this in the real-world and also, I would let people know my PREFERRED way of shooting the dice in the REAL world is the way I am shooting them for this video, if that is TRULY the case with you IN the real world!
    3. Then I would SUGGEST that you do this EXACT SAME VIDEO 2 MORE TIMES - 1. In the EXACT same format as this one EXCEPT NOW it's going to be from that REALISTIC POSITION of one-stick-right with 2 cameras IF necessary and then 2. EXACT SAME VIDEO with the 3 comparison strategies, but with DICE SETTING and CONTROLLED SHOOTING from the SAME position - IF you want - to see IF you get better results with Dice-setting and controlled shooting! For ME, I prefer ONE-STICK LEFT because I am right-handed and have MUCH better control shooting from left to right, than from right to left with dice-setting and controlled shooting ( that means for me, putting a combination together - such as the snake eyes ) then tossing the dice and letting BOTH of them bounce just ONE time before hitting that alligator arrangement at the end of the other side of the wall, before they land on the felt and come to a stop )!
    I would LOVE to see you do a remake on the aforementioned suggestions to see the resulting outcome for at LEAST 10 - 20 either points made or seven-outs, and to see which strategy was the winner!!!

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  Рік тому +1

      Well, I don’t think dice control effects the outcome of dice. And my position isn’t realistic, but 3 ft and it hits that rubber pyramid wall, the dice are very random which is what I’m going for. Thanks for checking out the video

    • @thespanish21god86
      @thespanish21god86 Рік тому

      @@ColorUp I still suggest that you try a video with dice-setting with controlled shooting to see what kind of outcome you get because even though you DON'T think it will affect the outcome of the dice, you won't know until you try!

    Jeremy, Great instructive video for the novice (like me). Question: Do you recommend sticking to the strategy chosen until the player hits their "win goal" or "loss limit) a la John Patrick?

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  2 роки тому +6

      Typically yes. I find switching things up just gets ya chasing after the dice. The game ebbs and flows, if I play consistent I can recognize that. Switching play style up end up not knowing what’s going on.
      Now once you don’t consider yourself a novice, open things up.

  • @howellwong11
    @howellwong11 2 роки тому

    The house still have the advantage over you. It doesn't matter what strategy you use. If you win it is because you were lucky. The only even bet with the house is when you bet "odds" after a number is established. I like to play on a crap table that has minimum bet of $5 and maximum odds at 20X. In this way I can afford to bet $100 on an even bet with the house. If the establish number is 10, it is twice as hard to roll a 10 before you roll a 7 so therefore, you should be paid double , if a 10 is rolled before a 7. Playing "odds" will do just that. Likewise, if you place a $5 bet on 10 and a 10 is rolled before a 7, you will win only $9 instead of $10. This is where the house makes its money.

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  2 роки тому

      The difference in a $5 pass line player and a $5 pass line player with 20x? Over time, nothing, they will both lose 1.4% of their $5 pass line bets. Odds bet is great if you have the bankroll and can withstand the variance, but in the end, it also will lose money to the casino, because they do not allow an odds bet without first getting their house edge from the player on the pass line.

    • @howellwong11
      @howellwong11 2 роки тому

      @@ColorUp By betting Odds, you are merely trying to get close to an even bet with the House. 20X max odds will get you closer to an even bet than a 2X max Odds. This is why I choose to play only when $5 is the minimum bet. I could afford to bet $100 on odds, which would be an even bet with the House.

      I've only just discovered your videos today, but I've been really impressed with how clearly you are able to present this game. I think it is intimidating to so many because it's so nebulous. Just looking at the table isn't enough to start playing. Like with most table game's layouts you can kinda glean the basics. Not so with craps. But you've done great in providing digestible portions that don't overwhelm. Thanks for the content!

    Awesome video and channel, thanks! One question: If my goal is to make my $100-$200 last as long as possible, would it be best to use, say, strategy #1 as is? Or would it help my bankroll survive longer if I took odds on the PASS LINE and COME bets also? (The first way is less money on the table, but the second reduces house edge.) What do you think?

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  3 місяці тому +1

      just depends if your numbers roll or not. with odds your have more at risk, but also can win more and maybe keep you in game longer, but if numbers don't roll, you will lose faster with more money at risk. I don't really think house edge comes into play all that much when considering a session of play
