On my only visit to Vegas I turned $20 into $100 on a few tries of bubble craps and eventually worked up the courage to play a table for the first time, I found a $5 table at the El Cortez and played the inside numbers, took single/double odds and the odd hard ways on the point, 90 minutes later walked away with $240 after tipping the dealers and waitress - got some of your other videos and some good rolls to thank for a great night out.
@ColorUp So the 3rd guy betting on the don't pass line. Could he put $10 on odds, and if the 7 hits, he would get paid 2 to 1. Or is the odds bet only for the pass line? Thanks for all the great info.
Watching your videos allowed me to play for hours on $5 machines (tables were all $25 minimum, outside the budget of my bankroll). I just did a simple $6 on 6 and 8s, with a 2-2-1 odds on the pass line budget strategy. I was up about $500 for the week vacation. Fun times. Thank you!
Best instruction I have ever seen. Really appreicate all the examples and showing us the basics and help us get a feeling for the flow of the game. Nice work!
I am just starting; actually played my first time last night, but only pass line and that thing right behind it; going to try 6/8 next time. Gotta pay for school 😅
I like to do a combination of your 2nd and 3rd strategy. Don't bet and then place the 6 and 8. That way you hedge the hurt of a PSO, but can still make some bank on a long roll!
Beginners should also know place bets can be “taken down” at any time. A lot of players are embarrassed to ask for place bets to be taken down but it’s perfectly acceptable to politely ask the dealer to “take me down” off whatever numbers you’ve placed. Often times I keep my place bets up for a maximum of 6 rolls then take them down cause odds are big red is coming. :)
EGGZACKULLY!!! GREAT call!!! For me in the REAL world, usually MOST players CAN'T roll for MORE than 4 times and usually will seven-out on either the 4th or 5th roll, as I USED to go for 6 rolls. The ONLY time I will go for 6 rolls with a random shooter, and I am using the iron-cross strategy, is if there is a dice-setting shooter who uses controlled-shooting throws!
Watched many of your videos, but this one just seemed to me to be one of the best, as you showed three different approaches to betting and play - so grateful! 🌟
I go to Las Vegas once every couple years. I always watch your channel to brush up on craps strategy. You always want informed players at the table, it ensures everyone has a great time. Thanks for the info.
Thank you. Craps has always been a foreign language to me. That explained enough, and I understood what you were doing with the 3 players. Great instructional video!!
Everybody’s got expert advice in these comments but not one video. Thank you for this! After having the basics down, this is a great foundation to expand my betting.
A nice way for beginners to play, so everyone can have fun! Great job explaining of how it works. I always say: "it is good to just have a fun time - don't worry about the rest".
Instead, I would encourage you to take bank craps seriously. If you’re having fun, regard that a guilty pleasure. Craps is war. What you need is a comprehensive strategy. Learn to break even or better every time. Prove to yourself you can bet all day on the same session buy in. Be The Toughest Out.
@26:10 thank you so much! I was wondering why 9 was called center field 9 for the longest time. Maybe you have a video on all the lingo that I need to watch! 😅
It also depends on you walking away when you have hit your win goal, and not staying for the live roll time limit. Thank you. Great comparative analysis!!!
this is a great, informative video! Thanks! It's so funny to see how you kept rolling and had a streak where no 7 was rolled. Players kept getting their bets paid out. Then all of a sudden the 7 comes and almost all bets lose...this is where it's really visible that sooner or later the house always wins!! :)
Solid advice Jeremy, great low rollin strategies. I like to play this way after I have overshot a win goal and have a few extra checks after coloring up. Saturday I hit my win goal and colored up with $74 extra. I placed table min. 6&8 and put the dealers on the hardways. Another shooter rolled a monster and I low rolled more than my original win.
I gave your strategy a try with $100 as I walked up to a craps table for the first time today. Fortunately there was only one other person playing so the dealers were very helpful. Unfortunately, I kept 7’ing out and lost… but now I really love craps. Maybe I’ll have better luck next time. Thank you for the video!
I really liked this comparison of the different strategies. As a beginner i play when I visit vegas from the UK and with a low investment of my money and use the winnings to get up onto the other numbers and then once I have recoup my initial investment I alternate between pressing and same bet. Its surprising how quick the money comes in with a hot table and when you realise how much you are betting on a table. I'm used to betting on $5 tables but believe their aren't that many in vegas anymore. Thanks for another great video
First time I tried craps was at a casino in Lake Tahoe. I was Player #1 in this scenario, mostly because I was still learning how the game worked. Everybody else was making various place bets (because I guess betting Passline is pretty boring). Quite a few random horn bets too (if only to get a reaction).
This was the most informative video for me being a semi-beginner. I've always played dumb bets like the Horn or the Hard Ways bets hoping I'd hit it big. Better to use this simple strategy and slowly build your bank roll using one of these methods.
This game looks awesome! No wonder there's never any room at the craps table. I'm going to have to try it one of those days. :) This is my favorite video so far.
I like the way that you teach people on how to play the game because I really learned a lot about playing this game that I’ve never played before but With the way that you showed how to play the game I feel comfortable enough that I am willing to try playing it now and I wanted to say that was really cool of you to include tip the dealer because a lot of people don’t do that I’m sure they appreciate it as well
Around 15:25 the point was established, come and don’t come bets were placed. It was a point-7-out roll. Now shouldn’t have the come Bet have won and DC lose? I’ve also seen other videos where point is established, and a DC bet is placed. Don’t 7&11 lose? Or does this vary by casino?
This does not vary by casino. Those are established bets. Once they are established the come bet will lose on any 7 and win on the roll of the number the come bet is on - this is regardless of what the puck is on. The don't come bet will win on any 7 or lose with the roll of number it is on. Come and Don't come bets are "game within a game" and have their own separate come out roll where the 7/11 effects it for their first roll.
Nice for beginners or if you're just not in the mood to go complicated. Sometimes I'll go Heavy's heatseeking or 321 odds strategy but sometimes I just feel like keeping it simple. Last weekend I did pass line and 6/8 place and had a great lucky time. Turned $100 into $175. Even pressed 6 in one of rolls and it paid off.
6 & 8 is my go to strategy. I will collect two times and start pressing from the third hit. Try to survive until a long roll and hope to be up by the end of the long roll.
It’s worth mentioning that the Don’t Come does NOT have to travel. I like to wave off the 6 & 8. Curious how a combination of one playing all three strategies would work out? Waving off the DC on the 6&8.
The small and tall bets are fun but it has cost players money. I myself and seen others play just for the those bets while missing out on money on placing bets on just one number. People will roll #8 four in a roll or the #5 for 6 in a row and never finish the small or tall
I made $240 tonight playing craps for the first time in my life. 1) Always put money behind the pass line 2) Only bet on numbers 6 and 8, and if the ON sign is on one of those numbers, then also bet on 9
I totally get what you’re saying. I usually go into the casino with $50 maybe 60 and you’re right if you don’t start winning quick I just stop and like go to a different table or really got a feel it out. I’m gonna try one of these days ago and they would like two or $300 , maybe I’ll wait a few more months
I'd recommend putting your odds directly on a line between 2 bets while telling the dealer you want odds, that way the dealer will ask about the bet if they didn't hear you instead of letting it play wherever you put it. Saves hassle.
How did we teach to play the pass line without discussing the true odds behind the line bet? That's the best bet in the Casino (no house edge) and the only way to make any money at the craps table.
The dealers are very well trained and will keep you bets in specific areas of the table to know it is yours. Sometimes the dealers do make mistakes. Its best to know where you bet and what you should be paid if your numbers roll, that way you wont miss on winnings. Take a look at: ua-cam.com/video/O5G5PYnJZ-s/v-deo.html or ua-cam.com/video/QiVt6j1JnMA/v-deo.html for how dealers pay out!
The dealers have very specific places on the layout, that correspond with where the player stands. If you look carefully you will see small hash marks that help them. Also they have defined ways of collecting the losing bets (first), and paying the winning bets (last), and which players are paid first (pass bettors), et cetera.
Jeremy, Great instructive video for the novice (like me). Question: Do you recommend sticking to the strategy chosen until the player hits their "win goal" or "loss limit) a la John Patrick?
Typically yes. I find switching things up just gets ya chasing after the dice. The game ebbs and flows, if I play consistent I can recognize that. Switching play style up end up not knowing what’s going on. Now once you don’t consider yourself a novice, open things up.
Great video showing all 3 basic strategies at the same time. I'm curious, is it considered "bad table karma" for a don't pass and don't come player as he's betting for 7's and the majority of players are typically betting against 7's?
I'm not sure if this will be seen. Can you place bet on the number that the puck is on? Having played in Vegas, the dealers normally ask me to move my bet somewhere else.
Yes you can. Most ask you to move assuming you have the number bet on the pass line. If they looked and saw you didn’t have a pass line they wouldn’t ask you to move bet. But because majority of players do, I think it’s just habit for most dealers
when I am down and in conservative mode until my turn to toss, I play any two numbers ( $15 min table )and HOP the point number ($ 2 each min #) hope shooter hits point asap. easy pays 15-1 hardways 30-1
Big fan of your channel Jeremy. Been watching for years. Got all my buddies watching your vids too. Keep it up much appreciated. I was wondering where you got you set up? Chips? Table? Love the look.
If you bet both on the Pass and Don't Pass can you put the odds behind either depending on what the first roll shows? For example, I bet $10 on Pass and Don't Pass. If first roll lands on a 6 or 8 can I add the odds to the Pass Line and vise versa?
@@ColorUp Thank you for the great channel. Played for my first basic games of craps on my first cruise and it was pretty fun. Came out $400 on top just betting the 6 8 and Don't Pass Line. I just doubled my 6 or 8 bets if it landed on either one and put my odds if it was any other number. Didn't realize I was there for 2 hours until the wife dragged me away lol.
So the 3rd guy betting on the don't pass line. Could he put $10 on odds and if the 7 hits he would get paid 2 to 1. Or is the odds bet only for the pass line? Thanks for all the great info.
Thank you! It's been FAR too long since I've played, so I really appreciate this. If you'd like to remove your placed bets, do you just say "down, please." I can't remember.
Awesome video and channel, thanks! One question: If my goal is to make my $100-$200 last as long as possible, would it be best to use, say, strategy #1 as is? Or would it help my bankroll survive longer if I took odds on the PASS LINE and COME bets also? (The first way is less money on the table, but the second reduces house edge.) What do you think?
just depends if your numbers roll or not. with odds your have more at risk, but also can win more and maybe keep you in game longer, but if numbers don't roll, you will lose faster with more money at risk. I don't really think house edge comes into play all that much when considering a session of play
Love sitting out the come out roll and playing don’t come immediately after the point is set. You won’t get the same amount of looks from people when playing the dark side and so so rarely does someone crap out on the 1st roll after the come out. Plus, they usually get a 7 or yo out of their system for a couple rolls before they set the point.
I was at Horseshoe Tunica the other day. The strategy I used was Iron cross, but with hardways and odds. I took $30 on 6 and 8 and $15 on the 5 and 15 in the field, so any number hits I make at least couple dollars profit. If field Rolls I immediately take that money and press my 5. Then keep putting 15 in the field. I take my hits on the 5, 6, and 8 from then on. Next time field hits I take the winnings and get a $5 hardway. This strategy works well if you have a shooter that even hits medium amounts of rolls. Obviously if you are hitting the 7 too often you are screwed. I ended up losing but was up $450 until I stayed on cold dice. I shoulda modified it when they went cold but the crown royal got to me LMAO
I have played the first 2 options after a bad session and lost half my bank roll. I have managed to bring myself out of the trenches and bringing myself up over my original 200.00 that I started with so they can really be a good way of playing with minimal buy in. I know the field isn’t a good bet but I’ve also pulled myself out of a bad situation by only playing the field. Luck just happened to be on my side.
That's it really....your strategy is dependent on your luck/dice roll. If hard ways are rolling and you're on them....its a great day. Same with betting with or against the house
Jeremy, my brother just got back from Vegas and said that many of the bubble craps places give terrible odds: like not allowing you to put more than double your pass dollar value down on a place bet. Do you find it's better to play at a table nowadays in order to prevent getting taken by Vegas?
Well only two times odds is a bummer, but it’s still a great no house edge bet. The problem with real tables, in many places in Vegas they are $15-25 min bets so, even if allowed say 5x odds, with a $15 pass line, that’s $75 in odds and $90 total bet on one number 😳 so bubble machines have same percentage and payouts, just at much lower amounts.
@@ColorUp Ok I hear you... I remember I played the don't pass in Vegas when I was there last, 5 years ago. When the puck landed on a 4 or 10, I wanted to bet a lot on it, in hopes of rolling a 7 before it... that's what I meant.. at some bubbles craps machines it would only allow me to bet up to $20, if my original don't pass bet was $10! That's such a scam. But now I'm really liking the Iron Cross strategy with the pass, so I'm going to try that next spring. My bro said there are all sorts of these new tables you play at for bubble craps. They are individual and you do your own thing, and most importantly, way cheaper than the tables. What a shame the tables are so pricey now!!
i was discouraged by a dealer to play a come bet without placing odds on it, i get that i win more with my odds bets, but if im just playing conservatively and coming to my numbers, is there a problem with this?
Should be no issue. With odds you will win more, but you will also lose more. When dealers suggest I put more money at risk I always ask them if they will provide me the money for me to risk more. Ha
I watched this video and I felt like I could go in and place a bet and be comfortable with it . A++++ went to day and was up.90 dollers.on the 6 and 8 bet thank u so much for going over how to play craps
6/8 are great low house bets, but they also don’t pay as much as others. The most profitable is the bets that roll and win and I can’t see the future to tell you. Haha, it’s always a gamble which the best bets are for any given session.
No specific but incorporates the following. Starts small, recoups that amount fast, and then gamble for a win. Avg roll lasts 8.5, gotta have your money back before then. But also be in position if and when the long roll happens
If u start out wit like 60 bucks put 2.50 on 5/6/8/9 we boost our bets up 50.cent each if the number come out ya money , so if 5 comes out u press all ya numbers up 50 cent & 1 number of ya choice that will be ya 5 numbers
Im a sucker after no field numbers i like to jump in and the same with horn if im down i throw the lot in horn and field when i feel lucky if i win i walk
I like this format of testing multiple strategies and having them compete against each other.
Agreed. Great way to illustrate the processes.
The big question what are you going to do tomorrow
Higher power 🤗 r
There are no strategies. What works one day will not work the next. That goes for every form of gambling in existence.

Haven't ever really seen it in action. How are you and the dealer keeping your bets straight from other players? Ahh, mostly explained at 7:50ish
If your win goal is 25- 30 % what should be your loss limit ?
Bank roll is
300 Nixon buck-a-roos
Awesome idea for a video brother. Great content!
Thanks!
First comment, first time. Thanks for all your great videos.....
🥳🥏🎉💯
Great video showing all 3 basic strategies at the same time. I'm curious, is it considered "bad table karma" for a don't pass and don't come player as he's betting for 7's and the majority of players are typically betting against 7's?
Some players do think so, but it’s your money, bet the way you think gives you best chance to win
@@ColorUp thank you sir!
35:25 Very much so. Thank you. I won $500 with your strategy.
But because majority of players do, I think it’s just habit for most dealers
when I am down and in conservative mode until my turn to toss, I play any two numbers ( $15 min table )and HOP the point number
($ 2 each min #) hope shooter hits point asap. easy pays 15-1 hardways 30-1
Great information and easy to understand for the beginner! Thanks brother!
Welcome! Glad you enjoyed
Yes, that’s commonly called “doey dont” not all casinos allow but most do.
He can add lay odds. This gets paid exactly the same as pass line but opposite. So 1 to 2, etc. you have to bet more and win back less as the favorite
Thank you! It's been FAR too long since I've played, so I really appreciate this. If you'd like to remove your placed bets, do you just say "down, please." I can't remember.
Yep, that works, just communicate to the dealer you want your place bets returned to you.
@@ColorUp Good to know, thank you!
I didn’t notice if you mention it or not but you can lay odds on the don’t pass just as well as the pass and a lot of people don’t realize it.
Sure, I cover lay odds on many videos
Great video I appreciate it. Hopefully it will help me out when I got to vegas
Beginner here. What's the difference between a Come bet if it lands on an 8, and your standard place bet on an 8?
This should help ua-cam.com/video/qhY_hOFYijM/v-deo.html
Hi again! What is the etiquette when tipping the dealer? Thank you so much!
How funny! Glad you happened to answer this question in this video! Haha! Thank you again! Subscribed!
Can you play the pass line until there is a point then move it to the don't pass line?
No, a pass line and come bet are contract bets. Once you make the bet it cannot be moved, reduced, or removed.
@Color Up perfect thank you
When you said to put odds on the number, does that mean your pressing up that number? Thanks.
Not sure what I said in video, but probably referring to this ua-cam.com/video/oPj6Nk4qXjA/v-deo.html
Odds is a true odds bet without house edge.
excellent video and training/explanation of the basics.
Ok, one question can i bet on 6 and 8 while my primary strat is dont pass??
Yes
How does a dealer keep track of whose chips are whose? Is it very strong muscle memory?
The bets are placed around a box. 8 positions. 8 players around the table.
@@ColorUp Ohhhhh I see now! Thank you!
I see that no bets are being placed behind the pass bet. Could anyone explain why
Can we take off place bets at anytime? Or once they’re there they stay there until point is off?
Nvm just saw it
Off, on, increase, decrease (to table min) whatever you want with place bets
Do the dealers at the craps table have to split their tips?
Some just split with the other dealers at the table. Some split with everyone in their shift (all the table games) Each casino does it different.
i was discouraged by a dealer to play a come bet without placing odds on it, i get that i win more with my odds bets, but if im just playing conservatively and coming to my numbers, is there a problem with this?
Should be no issue. With odds you will win more, but you will also lose more. When dealers suggest I put more money at risk I always ask them if they will provide me the money for me to risk more. Ha
I watched this video and I felt like I could go in and place a bet and be comfortable with it . A++++ went to day and was up.90 dollers.on the 6 and 8 bet thank u so much for going over how to play craps
Love it! Glad you enjoyed playing
You were up lol? How about at the end of your session?
Please do this again and get other outcomes with the roll of the dice.
Is it safevtp say the 6/8 is the most profitable strategy?
6/8 are great low house bets, but they also don’t pay as much as others. The most profitable is the bets that roll and win and I can’t see the future to tell you. Haha, it’s always a gamble which the best bets are for any given session.
Been watching a while, but I’m curious what you feel is YOUR favorite strategy
No specific but incorporates the following. Starts small, recoups that amount fast, and then gamble for a win.
Avg roll lasts 8.5, gotta have your money back before then. But also be in position if and when the long roll happens
@ColorUp I've tried hungry 6 and 8 from your channel but it's a hard one to keep up
Great video, thank you!
Glad you liked it!
So if you win a couple times on the 6 & 8 place bets can you pull them out in between rolls? If it is legal is it looked down upon?
It is allowed, and perfectly fine to do. "dealer take me down from my 6 & 8"
@@ColorUp thank you
Super rookie question....if you are on a table with a 10$ min does that mean all your bets have to be at or above minimum or just your opening bet?
All bets have to meet the table minimum. The center or prop bets are usually only $1 min though
My system I use is a cheap grind it out wat but if the dealer throws about 5 numbers Ima row u should gd.
