Great video! I rarely play props but I didn't realize a horn-high ace-deuce on downtown odds table is worse that 4C-1E. The least professional and most amateurish thing to me is taking down a DP after come out or doing "no action" on a DC. That drives me crazy. Somebody who bets pass line instead of placing the point is usually a noob who doesn't understand what they are doing, but a dark-side player who gives up the advantage should know better.
Great topic. Like the first bet "placing the point". Saw a high better place this bet and never knew what it was. Now I understand and want to try. Enjoyed the video thanks.
That bet that is put on line, is also a non contract bet which means you can pick it up whenever you want. If you feel the player is going to 7 out before they roll the point you can pick it up and put it back in your rack. Most "pro" players do not like being stuck in contract bets so they don't play pass line or come bets.
Nice video, with good refreshers for old and nice tips for new players. I always like mentioning the math. The don't would have been good to add that if you don't have the funds to put in odds that Don't with no odds is the best payout of the two. As you get paid 1:1 where every odds pay out on the don'ts is less then that. So it makes it a very economical bet once you get passed that roll out. I agree you don't have too and probably shouldn't put max odds on pass. I would say put the odds that your strategy calls for not what other people think it should be. If it's no odds then do that, if it's max do that. Have a plan. Just realize even though all numbers will eventually converge on the mean, by not putting odds on pass you agree on to get paid equivalent to your risk. Like sure I can pay you minimum wage to sit behind a desk with A/C or I can pay you minimum wage to climb up a 500 ft something tall power line to install wires or dive 1000 ft under water to put in some pipes. The risk is greater why would you agree to not get paid at least equivalent to the risk you're taking? If that's the plan then fine if not then why?
Pulled the drop $5 for $3 7s and $2 Yo move tonight. Told the stick to "hop the skinnys". He didn't know what it meant. The other dealer (who looked like he was ancient) did but said, "He wants a 3 way 7. He's just trying to sound cool." Then stick was like "Oh, yeah OK, nobody says that. Just say you want a 3 way 7 or 3 way Reds." I thought it was funny, and told him I didn't want to say the S word, but OK, $3 hop the Reds. He said, "It's the Come Out, nobody cares if you say 7." I said, I do, I'm on the Don't. Best part, wouldn't you know, next roll, 6-1! Then I proceeded to turn 100% profit on the rest of the session. When they Colored me up I said, "Hundred Pa'cent, sounds pretty cool doesn't it?" Speechless.
Great videos ! I love watching all the action going on and try to learn from the dealer, ask questions when the table is empty. I stumbled upon your videos and glad i did. I figure i might lose less and get to play longer now with your videos. The craps tables always look like so much fun. Thanks again !
Quick note on buying the 5 and 9, its better to buy them in even bet increments so youll get even money. And drop a dollar after it pays since 5 and 9 buys pay 3:2.
Question - On #7 (your first tip) why would you ever place the point if you could get better odds by playing behind the line? Is it if you missed playing the pass line bet?
It is an option if you did not play the pass line but still want to bet the point number. Some players prefer place betting vs a pass line with odds, as the same size bet amount, the place bet pays more until you are playing 5x in odds.
One thing to add to buying the outside numbers, since ETGs pay to the penny and most if not all take the vig on the win, it is always better for the player to buy the 5/9 and 4/10, no matter the unit. Also, a $5 buy bet on the 10 at a live table pays exactly the same as a place bet, $9 (assuming the casino allows it).
@@Unholychaos987 No, I mean the vig is calculated on the win, not on the bet. A $20 buy bet on the 10 would pay $38. Still better than $36 for the place bet. On the 5/9, it pays $28.50 instead of $28.
Nicely done. One point, or question......When I play the Horn I play $25 horn High Yo, or in some cases pick a craps number in the Horn. At that level it looks like the Any Craps is a bad bet for the payouts on the Any craps and equal on the Yo?
Sneaky good video, well explained, and very informative. You are spot on about lots of players not knowing lots of the things you described. The most ironic part is that when you look into the details of all the bets, you can see WHY the house offers a myriad of the same types of bets...as some is way more advantageous for them then the players. Why? Because they can get away with it. Ugh.
Can you do a vid strictly covering tipping the dealers and shooters? I hear other players use terms I am not sure I completely understand when the tip “hits” on whether to keep up, parlay it etc. is the tip under bettor control after a win? Or the dealer? Etc…I always want to make the dealers feel appreciated. I usually use the hard ways.
I work at a tribal casino and they round down the vig on buy bets. A lot of people buy the 4 or 10 for 25/50/75 and actually pay a 4% vig when you calculate it.
On number 2, betting for the dealers: I often put up a $1 line bet and get them shoes (odds for those who aren't familiar with the phrase). If/when WE win, I tell the dealer to keep the odds winnings, but leave the original line bet up. If the hand progresses, I'll bump the line bet for both of us, and continue to give the dealers shoes.
@@Unholychaos987 easy fix, just bet on top of your bet, then you have control, press it or hand in as a tip when you want. Essentially you are betting your own money. Ie. If you have a $15 bet, and want to add $1, you can, and it be a $16 bet.
@ColorUp Right. I haven't gotten a chance to implement that on a table as I've been sticking to the Roll to Win machines because budget. Other times I've had access to $5 tables, I wouldn't be able to get ahead early, so I couldn't afford to bet for the dealers, which makes me feel bad, so I always just hand in at the end
Another trick is to toke the crew only Odds. Example point 9 with $10 Pass plus $10 Odds for me plus separated $2 Odds for the crew. On the Stick side, as usual.
7. I only place the point if I did not buy in and I have promo chips with me. I do know about that behind the line. 6. I hate hopping the skinny's but I know that it pays more than the big red bet. 5. I always play odds but only play conservative with only single or double. 4. I do know the NO ACTION on the DP or DC. I rarely play it anyway, I don't like betting against the table. 3. I will throw out a 5 chip for a horn high bet sometimes. But didn't know about the pay out though. 2. I always tip the dealers even it its just a bit. Put PLACE BETS at my casino ROUNDS UP. So a place bet on six for $1 rounds UP to $2. So they get 3. Always good. 1. What was number 1?
I only play the don't pass and casinos have shut tables down because of me winning 2 or 3 bets lol. The dealer then tells me it costs the casino xxx dollars an hour to keep the table open. I'm like not my problem lol. I triple martingale the bets. I scout the table before I play to make sure there aren't any consistent point hitters. It's funny though they don't kick me for being an advantage player. I do try to be a good sport though and every now and then throw a min bet on a 6 or 8 place bet but it's only when I'm up.
Horn bets are dork bets. I use Any crap as insurance when I bet large on the pass line. And once in a while a yo and a hop. No mention of hard ways. Wow. I watched people press em three times and do well. Never heard of buying outside bets. Interesting.
Not discussed in the video but wanted to mention... If playing more than table min on the pass line i think it would work better to do min pass bet and max the odds. Like a $60 pass bet would he better done as $10+$50.
Theoretically yes, but you miss out on the 2/1 chance of getting a front line winner on the come out roll for a chance to win at true odds. So it's a give and take
What am I missing concerning the math you give for #5, “The Odds Bet”? You say out of 495 rolls you will win 244 times (.493%) and lose 251 times (.507%). With the puck on #6, there are five dice combinations you win, and six dice combinations you lose. Five winning dice combinations out of eleven possible win/lose combinations is .454%. And six losing dice combinations out of eleven possible win/lose combinations is .546%. What am I doing wrong? Watch and love all your videos.
You are looking at one number. the math is based off of all probably numbers, and you also have to calculate in the come our roll where the 7/11 is a winner and the 2,3,12 are losers, before a point is established and you can make an odds bet.
Hop the 7s $1 each Net $13 better payout vs Any 7 4 to 1. AND Dewey Dont I like turning $25 table into $5 game. DP 25 PL 30 pays $5 7/11 lose $5 2/3 big loss 12 but it works to play big boy tables with smaller bank rolls.
You should make a Buy bet strategy video. Play craps every time I go to to the casino and still don't understand Buy bets. According to this, it looks like I should use Buy bets all the time.?
Buy bets in the simplest terms pay true odds minus 5% of the original bet with a minimum of $1. So a $10 buy bet on the 10 would win $20 (2 to 1) minus $1 for a total of $19, whereas a $10 place bet on the 10 would win $18 (9 to 5). A $20 buy bet would pay $40 minus $1 for a total of $39. A $20 place bet would pay $36 (9x4=36).
@@jimklemens5018As Jeremy said, buy bets on 5/9 are fine if the vig is taken on the win. It would pay true odds, so 3 to 2. A $30 place bet on a 5 pays $42, whereas a buy bet would pay $45 minus $1 totaling $44
The best way I can describe it to you is like this... If you ever play pass line and odds, think of "buying" the number as in you are taking odds on the number without a pass line bet. This is exactly why it's advantageous to always buy the 4 and 10 once you get to 20+. Your odds is what people call "lowest house edge" with true payouts. Buy bets are exactly the same, but the casino doesn't like you bypassing that pass line bet, so they charge a 5% fee on buy bets (which brings the edge back their way) but it's STILL a great bet to make. Hope that helped, and good luck!
I can only assume that you are referencing craps as it's played in Las Vegas. You do an excellent job. Craps as you have shown it in your videos is very different to how it is played in Australia. The mechanics is mostly the same but there are some key differences. There is also a dramatic difference in how the players must play because of odds. Your version is far far better for players than what we have. There is no such thing as tipping dealers in Australia. It is illegal here for all table games. Wages are very high here so making 30, 40, 50+ or more dollars per hour is common and normal depending on the game. Craps is the dealers highest competency game. It is paid at the highest rates. There is only 4 man teams for a single table + pit boss for a single craps table. So it is very expensive for the casinos to run a game of craps. This is probably the core reason for the differences between your version and ours. There is no such thing as a three way bet. It is not marked on the table. Any seven, come and pass are the only way to bet on seven. The field is doubled for two and twelve - no triple. The horn is massively disincentivised by an absurd minimum bet of 20 dollars. If you want horn high yo, minimum is $25. Theses high minimums effectively eliminate these bets as any kind of insurance bet unless you are playing with larger amounts of money... bankrolls in the thousands +. C+E is a $5 minimum each, again restricting the value of insurance. The maximum behind the line odds is 2x. Making this bet much less flexible for those "feeling" the game out or pressing their luck. Place bets 6 and 8 are ONLY multiples of 6 above the minimum eg. minimum $25 table, place 6 and 8 are minimum $30. $10 table, place 6 and 8 are minimum $12. Some places used to have 1/2 increments paying out with 50 cent chips but I think they gone now. Melbourne with the largest gaming floor in the southern hemisphere does not offer craps at all since 2020. They got busted money laundering to Chinese mafia and sold it to a Private equity investment company that does not know how to run a casino. Many years ago... 1990's they offered a one dealer, craps mini booth which was very popular with craps players who could find them (hidden upstairs in a corner) Craps is the most under appreciated game in Australian casinos, mostly relegated to advertising and promotion. Playing the game is hard to find and not encouraged like it should be. Craps is by far the most engaging of all table games offering a gaming experience richer and more colourful than any other game by a wide margin. I offer you one more point that could be added to things to do at a Craps table.... Bring your lady friend and sponsor them to roll the dice. Everybody loves the lady shooter and the shooter who has no clue what's going on. My record roll is 55 rolls. Paid for my motorbike and gear. Two weeks later, two pretty young girls dragged over by the stickman. They rolled for over two hours. The whole table were throwing chips at these girls by the end and they made thousands even though they were only betting $5 pass line with no odds. They didn't know what was going on and we all loved it. Thank you girls for my holiday to North America. I probably threw them over $500 just myself. Thank you Color Up for sharing. Good luck to you.
What am I missing?... besides the odds, what's the difference between Hopping the 7 vs Any Seven? Aren't they both one-roll bets? Why bet Any Seven if it pays 4:1, when Hopping the 7 pays 15:1?
If you listen to this guy you will go broke. There are 6 bets to make on a crap table COME, DON'T COME, PASS, DON'T PASS, PLACE 6, PLACE 8. If your betting consistently these 6 wagers you will have the best opportunity to profit. If you bet anything else see you at the A.T.M.
The bets you mention are all below 1.52% house edge. Great bets. This doesn’t however give you “the best opportunity to profit” this simply gives you best opportunity to lose the least amount over long term. Best opportunity to profit in a negative EV game is to get lucky. 🍀
@@ColorUp If you get lucky you can win at anything but for the other 99% of the time if you consistently bet the Horn Bet for example 2 or 12 is 13.8% house edge 3 or 11 is about 11.2% house edge you will go broke. Now will you in some cases make a wheel barrow full of money? Sure but if it was that easy do you think the casino would offer the bet? You will go home hungry way more times than eating lobster. In general *not always* Things that are in the middle of a game or very visible is something to avoid. Have you even noticed the ABSOLUTE BEST BET in the casino at the craps table is not even advertised? (Taking odds behind the pass line bet) and LAY bets? but the dealers are constantly yelling about make a craps bet to protect your line bet? Foolishness the only thing you protect is the casinos bankroll. If you want to learn how to really play smart at Craps let me know
@@ColorUp You have no idea who I am or what I know. However I know who you are and your videos. You have a fair understanding of the game by what I see. When you comment about tipping with the casinos money putting an extra dollar on top of your 10 pass line bet. Where did that dollar chip come from the tooth fairy? It came from YOUR RACK. If you win 11 dollars you are tipping with YOUR WINNINGS. Hopefully nobody took that part of your video seriously. Your strategy over the long run is why casinos are in business. People looking for lightning in a bottle and when they finally capture it they suddenly realize they just won a small portion of what they have been feeding that storm. In my opinion of what I have seen so far the only way you will walk out of a casino with 10,000.00 is to walk in with 50,000.00 perhaps you are more knowledgeable at Roulette?
@clarencet5725 I’m not sure what you want from me or what point you are trying to make? This is a gambling game for entertainment. There are no pro craps players. All players will lose to the casino in the end. However, you can play, have a great time and win over the weekend and maybe year. I simply show the game, show different ways to play. I make no false claims that this game is anything other than an adult gambling game. If you are much wiser and have better knowledge of the game, that’s great. You have tried to imply this already with your demeaning comments. It doesn’t bother me. I don’t claim to be an expert just an enthusiast. I make videos and share my opinions on the game I love to play. Appreciate you watching and your comments help with engagement metrics to help boost video to further viewers. Thank you.
Makes no sense to play pass line unless you're the shooter or you're maxing the odds. Otherwise just place the point if you wanna play with the shooter.
Hmmm...interesting that the prop bets get so much time, especially with the title "7 Top Bets Pro Craps. Players Make." Well, first of all, there is no such thing as a 'pro' craps player. Knowledgeable...yes. Secondly, a knowledgeable player would never make any prop bet as the house advantage for any of. those bets is very high.
If you consider yourself a "pro" & you are betting the 7(s), horn & C&E then you are a damn fool. You don't have to take full odds instead you can take single or double odds.

Thanks.
If you do a buy bet for $35 on the 10,how much is vig? $1 or $2
Depends on casino house rules whether they round up or down. You have to ask. All casinos will be $2 once you hit $40
I see that foxwoods chip
Hop the 7s $1 each Net $13 better payout vs Any 7 4 to 1. AND Dewey Dont I like turning $25 table into $5 game. DP 25 PL 30 pays $5 7/11 lose $5 2/3 big loss 12 but it works to play big boy tables with smaller bank rolls.
Thanks!
Excellent summary - hope I remember them all!
Really appreciate the super comment! Thanks
You should make a Buy bet strategy video. Play craps every time I go to to the casino and still don't understand Buy bets. According to this, it looks like I should use Buy bets all the time.?
You should only make Buy bets on the 4 and 10.
I notice there isn't much discussion on the field 😂
I'd like to make it to Biloxi to try use their buy bet. Scoblete was big on pushing the house.
Buy bets w/ $1 vig when the bet is placed is still a poor bet to make too often.
What am I missing?... besides the odds, what's the difference between Hopping the 7 vs Any Seven? Aren't they both one-roll bets? Why bet Any Seven if it pays 4:1, when Hopping the 7 pays 15:1?
Any 7 min bet can be $1. To cover the hop it needs to be $3 min. He said if you bet 3, 6, 9 etc. Better to get the hop.
If you make a $3 bet on Any 7, it would pay $12.
If you make a $3 bet on the Hop 7s, it would pay $15 minus $2.
@@jasonb5670Thanks, I definitely missed that part!!
You can afford
Doesn’t the odds on 6/8 have to be a multiple of 6? Your example had $50 odds on 6.
Place bets pay 7:6 and should be in multiples of 6. Odds bet pays 6:5 and should be in multiples of 5
you don't tell the viewer what is a one roll bet, so how does the viewer know that the horn bet is a one roll bet vs the hardways.
3:57 HAHAHAHAHAAAAA🤯
I don’t mean professional craps player because those don’t exist 😂😂😂
If you listen to this guy you will go broke. There are 6 bets to make on a crap table
COME, DON'T COME, PASS, DON'T PASS, PLACE 6, PLACE 8.
If you want to learn how to really play smart at Craps let me know
@clarencet5725 if I want to learn craps, let you know? Very kind offer. Ha
Thank you.
King dice is a pro , if you dont believe it just ask him
He's getting 50 million a year. He doesn't have to care.
Who is getting 50 mil? The casino?
His lack of knowledge is amazing. !
Makes no sense to play pass line unless you're the shooter or you're maxing the odds. Otherwise just place the point if you wanna play with the shooter.
There are NO 'pro craps betters.'
ua-cam.com/video/Wa8Yqp9hDy4/v-deo.htmlsi=4_M0efErlYxnyHXX
You’re not a pro if putting the bet on the P to say “ASS” line is still funny to you
That’s a great A$$ Lie.
Correct, it’s a title to entice viewership.
If you consider yourself a "pro" & you are betting the 7(s), horn & C&E then you are a damn fool. You don't have to take full odds instead you can take single or double odds.
You don't understand craps
Nah, probably not
Pro crap players? 😂
whee 1st!
Close, but second ha
So you have decided we dont exist. Cool. I'm invisible and now so are you. 👎
U keep saying stuff over and over...beating the horse over and over..same stuff etz
Yep, new players seeing the channel every day. If you know everything to do with craps, I might not be the channel for you.
1st comment can i get a ❤?
I’m so confused, it makes sense to always bet when you have the edge but its just too much info.
I don't like doing my own place bet as it was moved once and I got shorted.
Yep, you have to watch carefully as it’s uncommon bet
