It is funny that you spent so much time trying to research the fuse type. I did the exact same thing and even called my local auto shop and they did not know either. It confusing because ford calls it a cartridge fuse and there are at least 3 sizes of cartridge fuses. Thanks and have a good one from West Tennessee
Thank you man you just saved me! I'm with a rental F150 in Alaska and the 12v outlet wasn't working and my phone was about to die, I interchanged the fuses and now the 12V outlet works! Thanks 🎉
Thank you so much bro.. i rampaged thru the internet trying tl find this because i refused to tale my truck to a dealership in heneral, but especially for a fuse that im sure wouldve been some.bs 120$ Diag and 10$ for 1 fuse.. being an L1 certified master tech this wouldve caused major troubles for me 😂, anyway maybe i couldve called but probably woulda got the run around. I blew that fuse over 10 months ago when i bought my 2018 STX (but its the rear power accessory) so it was never really a big deal until now since i have many more things plugged up. (Faulty electric motor causint drag /high amerage draw from an Amazon portable.mini vacuum) Anyway, long story short, THANK YOU. ^_^
Those fuses can be tough to find. 2 hours on google that's to long. Manufacturers should do a better job telling consumers where and which ones need to be replaced. Good fix!! Thumbs UP
Yes they have changed a lot. I am not sure why they thought that there was a need to use at least three different styles of fuses in this one fuse block and then not even document what each type of fuse is in the owners manual, pretty poor workmanship/ documentation on Fords part.
I have a 2016 with a 12 volt receptacle which is not delivering power as well. Important to note- depending on the model of the truck, as there are variants, the fuses may not be the same as shown in this video. This is helpful, and I hope it works for other viewers, but the fuses depicted here may not be the problematic fuses you need to find. Other videos will show different fuses, too! This is my experience.
i replaced this in my 2015 but my main 12v cigarette outlet and the the one at the bottom still dont work. im stuck besides taking it ti the dealership
Hi, I am having a tough time trying to pinpoint the correct type of fuse for my 2013 Ford Fusion SE. I ordered a 20a fuse from amazon (for my power point outlet) and when I received it - it was too big/wide for the fuse socket (it was described as a low profile fuse). Anyways, the owners manual states that I need a M-TYPE 20amp fuse - is this the same as a MCASE fuse as you had described? I looked at the existing blown fuse in my Fusion and it is of a "slim" size in appearance. I would really appreciate if you could clarify this for me - I believe, by your video, it looks like the MCASE is the one I need. Are there 2 types of fuses - wide and slim in size? I never thought this would be confusing. Thank you for your time and help. (By the way, when I ordered from amazon, it stated that the fuse that I got would fit my 2013 Ford Fusion which was not true.)
I wish I could buy a newer vehicle without any of the electronics in it, you know the old saying Keep It Simple S..... is so true, the less complexity the easier it is to fix. Thanks for visiting John!
I like watching your latest videos so much I came back for more. Hey Lion is a great supporter and friend you won't go wrong with this cat. like 33 Gary
I just updated the link for the 20A MCASE fuses on Amazon. The difference between JCASE and MCASE is the dimensions of the fuse, the JCASE do not fit where the MCASE fuses go. The terminal sizes are different and it looks like the external dimensions are different.
Interesting. Tuke me ages find the fuse box in my car haha... Its inside the car,,, driver site.. Which is right site over here where I live. Ones I found it... 🤔 Tuke me forever,,, with Google help... 🤔 To find the right fuse haha say... All in all almost tuke me one day🙄. Lol but now, I know it. 😀
It was one of the many diagrams that I located during the two hours of searching the internet, while trying to figure out what fuse type it is. This one was located using something like "f150 2016 fuse wiring schematic" and then looking through images. It would be nice if they were made easily available to the vehicle owners via Ford.
My 12V outlets on my 2018 F-150 are blowing, even after the dealer replaced the ourlets. My Sinc 3 is going bonkers, setting off the alarm, which I cannot shut off. It spent three weeks at the dealer and they had to replace the horn which was destroyed by the not-stop blowing, to the annoyance of my neighbors. After I got it back, the outlets worked again, but only for a day. I expect my Sinc 3 system to go spastic again. Anyone else having this problem?
I am not having issues like that. It sounds like you have a shorted wire harness, do you have any rodents living in the engine compartment? We have rodents that love to eat wire insulation here, I have not had it happen in my truck, but have had it happen in one of my cars.

Some good information to know. My 2006 F-250 has major electronic problems. I just keep driving it. LOL
Thanks! I want to go back to when the cars just had lights, a fan for the AC and a radio.
Hey buddy. Great video as usual. What don't you know. You can fix anything
Thank you!
Fuses have changed a lot over the years. I'm still used to the glass and blade types, just old I guess lol
Yes they have changed a lot. I am not sure why they thought that there was a need to use at least three different styles of fuses in this one fuse block and then not even document what each type of fuse is in the owners manual, pretty poor workmanship/ documentation on Fords part.

Airbag? My 1983 F-250 doesn't have those. For that matter, my F-250 doesn't have any of those things, except for fuses. I do have fuses.

hello Kirk just wondering how you are? just watching some videos in the gym and thought i give ya a buzz my friend - Dave
Hey Dave, doing good! How was your time at the gym?
Does an outlet has current if light is blinking
@@anthonyjones2593 which light is blinking?
I only found jcase fuse kits? What's the difference?
I just updated the link for the 20A MCASE fuses on Amazon. The difference between JCASE and MCASE is the dimensions of the fuse, the JCASE do not fit where the MCASE fuses go. The terminal sizes are different and it looks like the external dimensions are different.
Do you happen to know where the power for the front usb port comes from? im getting no power to sync usb but all fuses seem to be good.
sorry, I have not had that problem yet
Very nice video and information always well explained

Will theses work on 2011 f150???? Thanks in advance!!!!
I just looked at the manual, it looks like the 2011 uses JCASE fuses in the power points, you may want to verify this.
