Ferrari is not Stellantis, the prancing horse left the FCA group in 2015

      True.
But if we look who's behind the 'wheels' of both companies, it's the same Exor holding company (that belongs to "fiat" Agnelli family)

High price, for the history of the brand, a few design elements and that's it. The basic version, has 130 HP, at a weight of 1600 kg, I don't see where the dynamics are and its price is at least 35000 EUR, obviously depending on the equipment, it reaches about 60000, I don't see an optimal price-quality ratio.

@@jrs9264 Besides design, driving dynamics is part of what differentiate these cars from 'main stream' and it's also what brings some of the people into the brand.
IMHO, extended warranty is (always) nice to have, but not necessarily in the 'must have' category, at least not for this brand.
However, I can see this is not a car for you.

You have to pay the brand to go for Maserati ...but you also get a much more refined and luxury product (they're also bigger - more space is usually good).
That being said, the small Maserati SUV, the Grecale, is built over the bigger Stelvio (Giorgio) platform, not related to the smaller Tonale.

I owned an Alfa Milano back in the 70's, and I'm 1/2 Italian. I'd be on this gorgeous SUV in 2 seconds if it wasn't a plug-in hybrid. Sorry, no electric vehicles for me. Alfa, what were you thinking? Offer an ICE option, for God's sake!

@@djross95 Plug-in Hybrid doesn't mean you have to plug it in at all. You can just charge it (or not) just by running it.
However, my comment is more of a suggestion. Go for a Stelvio. You can still get a 100% ICE.
Then it will all end in a near future and you will run out of options without electricity.

During the pandemic, I visited a few car dealerships, and AR was the only dealership in SoCal that didn't have any markup on their cars, and that really impressed me. For that reason alone, I will check this SUV out when I need to get a new one, and the new PHEV version seems really nice too. Question, does it have regenerative braking?

  • @PoreikiJack

There's something special about Italian design. And I've been a fan of Alfa Romeo since the 164 first came out back in the 80s. However, I think the Italian-made Dodge Hornet is almost as good (and practically the same car) for 50% less money.

    • @miks564
      @miks564 Рік тому +2

I've been also a fan of Italian cars. Design is part of it no doubt, but for me, what makes the difference is the way they drive and the technology behind their products that makes them drive the way they do. ...And of course I'm not talking about the infotainment. I'm talking about electronic helping the dynamics, mechanical solutions on their engines, suspension, etc.

Italian cars and reliability is a myth that's good for the competitors to keep as urban legend decade after decade.
I've been driving Italian cars since the 80s and only had a lemon at the beginning of this century. And my preference is not only for the way they drive, is also for reliability, because I'm usually demanding on the mechanics. (faster acceleration driver by default)

No EVs or hybrids for me....Fiat group was run out of this country back in the 70s due to poor reliability. They had to buy Chrysler out of bankruptcy to get back in. A fancy Fiat brand still has a reliability issue, and putting them under Ferrari doesn't erase the Fiat influence. 🤔😳🤨🙄🧐
p.s. as for european car, i' d rather have the Hyundai Bayon, much less expensive to buy, operate, insurance, and better reliability. Even the Dacia Sandero would do what this vehicle does at a fraction of the cost....🤑💰
