Petrol X1 is even worse in this regard with a tiny 130hp @57Lakh OTR an engine option that this review didn’t even mention, felt like you were trying to cover up the lack of performance and poor petrol option in the review

Brought this car a month back on sheet it may look underpowered but diesel engine packs lot of punch given its just 150HP while rivals lacks diesel refinement, audi doesnt offer much in terms features and premium quality of cabin …while merc can do lot better in terms of cabin quality …their stick shift felt wobbly and is very compact for family like us. Mine gives out mileage of 14 KMPL (mostly city). Got Taigun 1.5 GT plus as performance oriented hence this was our “economical “ pick

Am just stating that Audi needs to work a bit more in this aspect as hard plastics are abundant in their cars and do not leave a good impression on the buyer at times. You shouldn't be expecting crazy amount of hard plastics in a luxury car anyway. Apart from that, the Q3 is superior to the X1 in every way.
It's the Emission Norms that changing it all....also Twin Clutch don't give a Pleasant Driving experience on daily basis....the Torque Converter specially from bmw are grt combo for Perfomance n Comfort
We drove this and the immediate impression was that this isn't a BMW. The bulky outside is an acquired taste but the inside disappointed me. The curved screen dashboard looks artificial and certainly no match to good old gorgeous BMW interior which we all use to admire. There are no physical buttons which is a big loss. The power is grossly inadequate, there is no adrenaline rush, no punch at all! Also, the AC is too noisy and reeks of poor quality. Having owned a BMW in the past, this disappoints me from the word go...

Theres something sinister about how BMW has avoided giving out review cars for the X1. The fact is that this new generation is severely underpowered. The GLA diesel is the way to go for the diesel lovers and the Q3 is better for petrol drivers. The BMW has lost its target audience of self-driving owners with families.

Its only for reference.. how the car feels and drives is entirely different to the spec sheet Hyundais motor and BMWs motor are very different.. drive the cars and you'll feel it but Im with the argument that a little more power for the price wouldve been nice

Blame the taxation policies. Not the carmakers. Fortuner is available for ₹30-34L in SE Asia and Australia. But for ₹50L+ in India. All thanks to duties and taxes. In the end, the customer loses. And then the carmaker loses.

Dont rely blatantly on the spec sheet. I test drove the diesel version and not even for once did it feel underpowered by any sorts. Engine tuning is top notch!
But why settle for less, how much better it could have been if they exceeded or atleast matched the competition! It is not a budget car, it costs close to 60 Lakh OTR, so why settle for just adequate?
@@MrNikrulesu The spec sheet makes it look like it is less. On the contrary, 18d is more than enough to get your job done with an additional advantage of getting way better mileage than 20d. BMW claims 20 kmpl with the 18d, which realistically, would end up giving 15-16 easily. One can argue that outside cars get 8 cylinder, 12 cylinder tech too we for our conditions, a 4 cylinder is more than enough.

I see alot of people are complaining about engine (which is correct) but it's useless because the guy who has money will buy this at any cost because it's a "BMW". People who can't afford like us (including myself) will try to convince ourselves how bad the offering is (which is ideally considering the engine) but still if I would've had that much money I would've either bought this or GLA.
