    Nice vid, cool pen, thanks for sharing. May I ask what you used to glue the parts onto the tube? Epoxy? Thick CA? Other? Thanks.

      +ward459 Hi - generally, I use medium CA glue for the tubes. From time to time, I might use 2 part epoxy.

    what is the mold you used to bend the parts using the press?.i bought the arbor press but i don't know what mold you are using

    Hi oneptbuk - on this pen, I used polyester resin, without pressure. After I poured into the mold, there were only a few bubbles that I was able to brush away with a pick. Ordinarily, I use about 60 PSI with a modified HB pressure pot. I don't always use it with PR, but its a must when I use Alumilite (otherwise, the bubbles will ruin the casting).

    The name of the tool is an arbor press. You can pick one up at Harbor Freight for $50, and it is worth every penny of it.

    HI, What is the hardware the name of it and how do I get it at, also what is the name of the glue thank you.

    • @oswaldorossi
      @oswaldorossi  7 років тому

      Bill - are you referring to the pen kit? If so, I buy my kits from the usual suspects (Rocker; Woodcraft; Penn State Industries; etc.). If you are referring to the watch parts, I purchase most of my parts from Ebay, or from a watch vendor at the Rose Bowl Flea Market. I use CA glue (Crazy Glue - check out Rocker's website).

    Any one know what the width of a face plate would be before its to big to wrap around the tubes??

    • @oswaldorossi
      @oswaldorossi  7 років тому

      I simply eyeball the watch face to determine whether it will fit. Haven't had many problems with that approach.
