    I'm excited lol, I just ordered one. I was torn between this and the silhouette cameo 4. Unfortunately silhouette didn't have coupons I could find and didn't offer after pay. I saved $95 on the everything bundle. I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm new to all of this but crafting is my thing!

    Yay! I'm first! I'm definately addicted to my cricut. I have a explore air 2. I'm on the fence to upgrade to the maker series. So far I have been happy with my explore 2 and rarely think I wish I had the maker. I was so happy to learn that the blades havnt changed. Does that mean the pens didn't change too? I only worry that accessories for the cricut Will be harder to find with the new 3 series if they have changed. Love you! Love design bundles, love all things cricut and crafty! Thanks for sharing!

      Hey Stacey! Thank you so much for your kind words! Honestly, if you are happy with your Explore Air 2, there are not very many things that you would want to upgrade for --- mainly the rotary blade and the knife tool, and I have used these very few times. As far as I can tell, all the tools will still be compatible with the new machines. Hope this helps! ---Becky

      Hey Sheila! I'm surprised to hear your trouble with the Maker, I can fortunately report that my original Maker has bee great. If you are already using a Cameo 4, then the Maker and Maker 3 are not going to offer you any additional options. Also, you'll find Cricut Design Space very limited compared to what you are used to in Silhouette Studio. Hope this helps! ---Becky

      @@DesignBundles thanks for actually answering my question!! That makes sense and it answered my next question as to what makes the Smart Vinyl so different.
      I JUST ordered a Maker 3 and needed to know all what I needed for it. I order a giant roll of the stencil vinyl, several mats, but also didn’t know if I’d need the roll attachment cutter as well. It looks like it would be handy to have, but apparently not for the regular vinyl I ordered and Idk if I will be purchasing any of their brand of Smart Materials yet.

    Introducing the Cricut mat support. Helps your mat stay level, and prevents it from falling (after pressing finish or if you cancel and it ejects the mat) or bending downward. This eases downward pressure from your mat and prevents your material from unsticking during use. Check out our video to learn more. ua-cam.com/video/QNMFo4kfRhs/v-deo.html

    • @Lacroix999
      @Lacroix999 Рік тому

      @@True_Joker did you purchase it with a bundle? If the machine requires you to use a mat and tools on MOST of their materials, it should at least come with one mat and one weeding tool and squeegee ESPECIALLY if you’re paying almost $400 for the machine!! I won’t be using vinyl for mine and purchased it initially for making (reusable and one time use) stencils with, so I didn’t need all the extra stuff in most of the bundles being offered, but the machine should still at least come with the bare basics! If it comes with vinyl, to do your first test project, you need something to stick it to and peel it off with and I know many people will buy multiple mats and various kinds of tools, but if your already expensive purchase requires you to invest even more into it right off even before you open the box, it seems a bit ridiculous! For those who have to figure out the hard way what it doesn’t come with, it can make that first impression even more frustrating. Many of the bundles didn’t even offer a mat but everything else you needed to do certain types of crafts. I had to completely piece together my own ‘kit’ for what I needed and spent an extra $200+ on top of the machine! I hope I got everything needed to do what I wanted and don’t have to find out the hard way I didn’t because I’m so new to all of this! I’m sure I’ll add to my tools and supplies along the way but the fact it didn’t come with everything I needed or anything at all besides a few vinyl scrape pieces, kinda left a bad taste in my mouth even though these things, for the most part, are an investment in what I want to do. I wouldn’t even have minded paying a little bit more if these basics were included, but with as much as this company is making, you’d think they could’ve just spared it!

      @@Lacroix999 My husband bought it for me because I wanted one for 20 years but he didn't know anything about it I got it a month after the new one came out so I have the maker three but I probably spend almost $1,000 on top of what I paid for it I went a little overboard I have doubles of some things I got extra blades extra mats of course but I'd been drooling over these machines 20 years so I had some idea I don't use it for vinyl either. I largely use it for card paper stuff & little else. I have the perforation blades the scoring blades and the deep cut stuff I think I finally got the fabric one cuz my mom's a seamstress I don't think I needed to do all of that I don't largely regret it but just say $200 for the necessities above what was paid for seems about right I also spent the last year trying to get the company to work with me because mine has had some problems and then it broke itself here recently I quit even trying to call them though. When it kind of leaked a little oil and I had to explain to them at the start I wasn't calling in really because of that but about how to maintenance it without voiding the warranty and they did me like they did I was kind of over it then Especially because of the cost I didn't pay that much for my car. Well maybe about the same for my car $1,400 I mean. So yeah it's a big investment and I wanted one for 20 years and I happen to just get a quirky one cuz I am a bad luck kind of person I just have things happen to me like that. it just is. My dad's a repair guy though and so I'm aware that anything with moving parts requires oil on top of it I'm also not an idiot. And then they were positive they wanted to replace the machine because it was only a few months old at the time but I'm a year into it now so I'm pretty sure they They don't care they back peddled a little hard to not replace it after offering to which was crazy to me cuz I didn't even largely use it and It spends most of its time in its box now because of the disappointment over it more than anything. And I don't buy their name brand products anymore which is a point of purpose over the whole thing. I've wanted one for 20 years and don't mind spending on it at all but now I figure they don't care either so I go to the dollar store It is what it is. I did buy only their products at the beginning in case it was a warranty issue but when it became very clear that they weren't going to do what was right then I quit buying their products and I won't ever probably. I hand cut a lot of things sometimes just cuz I'm mad about it So yeah this company makes a lot of money I had been using it every single day. I don't know. I hand cut my card yesterday and today and I'll do it tomorrow too. It is great potential I think it's a wonderful machine I think they're a s***** company with really poor customer service though

      @@Lacroix999 And I didn't know about the bundles because my husband bought it and when I did go back for the tools for weeding and stuff I actually have them out of an auto parts store my husband works for They look like dental tools and all my scrapers and stuff came from his work as well and they work just fine I like them I did buy their bone folder I almost never use it I don't like it so no I did not buy it with a bundle I paid about $1400 for the machine and what I needed. And I looked into it to purchase it might have been a little different but he got it to begin with and I learned as I went that first time and the only reason I regret it is because of their customer service skills so don't count on them be careful with it I would have used it to the end all of time and probably got everything else that they even make but only use it till it breaks and get my dad to fix it and buy the 3D printing machine or something
