After struggling offensively earlier in the season, Kobe went off against Andre Iguodala in the 2005-2006 season, and ended the game vs. the 76ers mostly by himself.
But there was another story that took place beforehand.
Kobe's comments regarding his elbow to Mike Miller in a game vs. Memphis: "Any player that was going to come down the lane at that point in time, I was going to let him know that he just can't walk through there," Bryant said after the game. "I think we as a team have to do a better job of establishing that. And me, as a leader of the ballclub, I've got to take the initiative to do that -- and hopefully, everybody will see that."
Bryant said his postgame comments were "no different than what everybody else says."
The league suspended Kobe for two games shortly afterward, and when he came back, he let everyone know why they shouldn't get too excited to see him suspended.
