Stunning car, EVERY bit of it is done right. Considering selling my Box Impala, getting a Caprice and doing something very similar to this one. Love it
I hope my caprice turn out half as good as yours when I finish it in like the clean uncut look thanks for showing that you don't have to go big or chop your car up to look good
That is the most awesome non stock caprice I have ever seen, i plan to do the same engine and keep my throttle body as well, the Bonneville seats look amazing, a true work of bad assness!!
Hell yeah man! You did a really nice job on that bad boy! I love that shade of white. TBI's might only be 500CFM 2 barrels, but they are beyond bulletproof. There's TBI trucks out there with a million miles on the original motor! (3 transmissions tho, lol) With the mods you did to your TBI, you can probably still get the rated horsepower out of that crate motor. We changed a buddy's 4.3 S10 over to a throttle body 5.7 setup one time. It had TBI heads, but they had a bunch of work done to them and we had built the rest of that motor up pretty heavily over time. Cam, headers, intake worked over, bored .30 over, and flat top forged pistons! It was at about 9.8 to 1 compression, according to an internet calculator. We ended up using the throttle body and injectors from a 7.4 liter. It ran really good after the guy sent the computer off to have it retuned. It ran somewhat with the stock tune, but it'd quit if you gave it more than half throttle! That was a badass truck, but unfortunately ol dude wrapped it around a telephone pole runnin from the law!
Haha, I noticed that too... I would NOT want to piss him off... he looks rock hard! Super sweet ride... I had an 86 pack in the mid 90's, an X Ministry of Natural Resources car... sure wish I kept it.
Had the same one with same alloys in its best glories. This one &the Tahoe &GRAND CHEROKY&BMW, cars I really loved, to keep and drive. These 19e alloys on BMW 7 series is just magnificent, they were made for it with caprice and crown Victoria.
Awesome car! I bought a really nice 1990 in 1999. Really fun even stock, but I found out how easy they are to steal when mine got stolen 3 years later! It got trashed, so unfortunately, I had to get rid of it even though the police found it.
Cleanest box on UA-cam. I really dig how you kept it simple but yet classy , I myself ain’t a fan of those crazy paint jobs & big wheels. That interior is sweet and just blends in perfect. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 what kind of headers are ya running ???
I would of kept the 2004r trans. they have better spaced gears and a deeper overdrive gear. The 2004r was the transmission of choice for the Police C91 over the regular Caprice for a reason. The 2004r was also the transmission of choice in the Buick grand National and SS Monte Carlo. When you match real power with the 700r4 it will burn the tires a little harder while the 2004r will just get gost. Because of the better spaced gears and higher top speed capabilities while maintaining slightly better gas mileage
those seats bolted in.. plug and play? the original ones were not powered correct? so now they are powered? I own a 1990 caprice classic white just the same and definitely would enjoy the cushion!!
Did you have to change anything w the suspension or gear ratio w the 22 irocs? I have a 82 98 brougham og wheels spokes thinking of 20 22 don't want to mess it up though
If you saw my previous upload, this is basically the same video. Car is waxed and detailed this time. I also give a few more details about the drivetrain and provide some better views of the backseat.
Hey bro, long time no see. Nice vid, just to let you know i purchased another white 89 9c1. This one has the blue interior. But i still have the email you sent me back in October. I'm hoping to get the same engine modifications you got. Sorry for not responding sooner but i was in school when we last spoke and when i came back i was hit by a car as a pedestrian unfortunately. Right now I'm rehabbing and hoping i can get back to working on my Caprice. I can watch this video all day. What happened to the video where you was cruising down the street ? I liked that one, because i got an idea of how that 330hp engine sounded lol. I'll be talking to you soon bro :)
89capricewhite Hope your recovery went well. Sorry for not responding sooner, been off of here for a while. I’ll make another video or two driving the car and post it.
Z Man hay bro i have a89 caprice 350 5.7.. you have the look the i envisioned💯.. the iroc wheels set it off. Did you have to customize anything for the front seats with the Bonneville swap?
@@CapriceRoller Thanks for the info. I purchased an 85 box that already had a Lok-itt (chrome) on it. I never knew what it was called. When I junked the car the Lok-itt and the Z lok hood lock went to the junk yard with the car. Both the Lok-itt and the z-lok hood lock keep my car from being stolen on a few occasions. Thanks again, just purchased my Lok-itt & Z-lok for my 86 Box.
@@CapriceRoller WOW just realized there are 2 models P - permanent and R - removable. The one I had before was the permanent model (the person that had the car before me, got the P model chrome plated). Looks like you have the Permanent model (P300 not the R300).
Beautiful 9c1 caprice!
Those 22s tuck perfectly!
I Had 265/35/22 Irocs on my 1996 9c1... it's like it was made for these cars ...Drove Great

I hope my caprice turn out half as good as yours when I finish it in like the clean uncut look thanks for showing that you don't have to go big or chop your car up to look good
Very tastefully done, so glad that you didn't over do it. Down here in Southwest Florida these youngsters ruin these masterpiece's.
That is a good lookin car! Don’t see many Caprices on the road... the fact that you drive it everyday makes it even better
That is the most awesome non stock caprice I have ever seen, i plan to do the same engine and keep my throttle body as well, the Bonneville seats look amazing, a true work of bad assness!!
Mike Grandinette thanks man!
@@CapriceRoller How hard was it to put the seats in?

The C91 police cars had larger injectors over any other 350 throttle body from the factory. Next up was the 454 throttle body
Z Man lowkey taking shirtless model shots in the window of his car, dope ass ride though

New York
Nice Afghanistan campaign veteran decal on the back window.
Great car. You did a great job!!!! With those seats did you have to do any big modifications to install your seats.
Not really. If I recall correctly, the brackets on the back seat had to be bent slightly to snap in place.
Z Man did you have to do anything custom for the front seat?
Z Man Where Did You Find The Steering Kollumn LocK... I’ve Been Looking For One Everywhere...
