Wow man really nice better being worry free wish I could do that with mine right my engine has 290,000 miles on it still running good
I'm happy for ya! I'm jealous also. Lol
That's a thousand higher than when I checked a couple of years ago. Glad you're sticking with the 350. Can't wait to see and hear it!
Yeah I'm sure they've went up in price just like everything else! Can't wait to drive it again, that's for sure!
I did the same thing a few months ago on my 97 . I wanted to ls swap it but got to thinking it’s a lot of work. I went to auto zone and got a re manufactured for $2500 . I have over 10k miles on it so far with no problems
How much for the installation
Super happy for you man, cant wait to see her back on the road creating content.
That’s so bad ass! Excited for ya! I’m in the process of doing the same thing with my 93 Z71 I’ll put a new intake manifold and distributor in it as well ! Keep us posted 😃👍🏼
I’m so stoked to see that motor dropped in! I have the same engine in one truck & an ATK in another. You did not go wrong with the genuine GM!
Cant wait to see the updates
GM also offers a 383 with warranty.
Going to be awesome seeing it back on the road! I wouldve done the same as far as the engine goes too!
That's awesome
Good choice, did you snag a vin R 4 bolt main?
The 5.7 is a great engine I own a few and I’ve had several
It's cool and all but no way I would have gone that far into it and not dropped in a 383! Comon man!
Nice!
I grabbed the sp350/357 a year ago for $3500,(now going for $5700 i think) but the cost benefit of warranty, without any suprises, as opposed to a reman crate engine is worth it. Beautiul
Congrats man, I feel the same about the 5.7 liter. I’m not gonna be doing burnouts & donuts so a 350 is a good strong dependable motor. My 98 Sierra may have crapped out last Saturday??? Diving into it tomorrow to figure it out. Looking forward to the future progress videos!!
Appreciate it! Hopefully you can find what's going on with yours!
@@BADZ71, congratulations brother , we did the same thing to my dad's Obs 92 Chevy. New engine and transmission . It was better than buying a brand new truck for 30,000-40,000 . Anyway , happy for you brother , keep it up and God bless.
So I’m on the same boat as you , Have a 95 teal green metallic single cab z71 short bed side step/flare side. I have been thinking if I should rebuild the old engine (oil in coolant but runs 100%) everyone says LS swap but have been looking in to going the route you did but add a cam while the engine is out. Keeep the content coming bud !!!
The target master 350 GM Chevy motors were made Mexico.I hope these are U.S.A. made.
Build that engine and increase to 350+ HP ???
What's up Badz71 do you have pictures of those valves covers and are they for sale I'm looking at your videos now
Once you get it delivered do you have to get it fired up within a certian time period? I think I'd concerned about that zinc lube drying up on those cams.
Oh yeaaaaaah the new motor how is it so far?
Hey I love the 350s. By the way great vid. Is their any way you can tell me how someone like me could purchase a 350 from GM. Do I drive to my nearest Chevy Dealership?
Do I order it online? Do I talk to someone at the dealership?
Mine had a hidden oil Galley plug lift it up it's underneath you'll blow your motor up if you don't remove it
I will definitely look for that! Thank ya!
Love seeming some one I follow do the same thing I did if you want some bolt ons I spent hours of research so you don’t void that warranty
Feel free to shoot me a DM on Instagram or TikTok! I'd be interested in knowing what you did!
Is this the ATK HP99C? I've been looking into that one for my 95 c1500
This part number is
809-19432780
It's a GM Performance replacement engine. I ordered it from Jegs and got it really quick. When it comes to ATK, definitely read reviews and do some research, I deliver a lot of ATK product, and also see quite a bit of warranty swaps
i wouldnt change the timing cover that would void the warranty run it as is !
That's what we ended up doing! Good point on the warranty
SRC in springfeild mo. most likely built the engine.
It came from Wisconsin, brand new engine from GM, I'm assuming built from GM

Hey where did you get you engine at
For that price, you coulda bought a blue print 350 that makes 400hp out the crate
I was wondering, is that engine in the box brand new?
Yes. Brand new. Not reman. New.
What is the part number?
809-19432780
No, LS swap would have been 10 grand or more, you have to change out so much
Not to mention the tuning, and retuning.
@@BADZ71 I like that engine you bought, I want to put that same engine in my 1986 Monte Carlo SS
255HP on that big truck with those big tires is going to be a complete dog.
