Love cobalt blue, it’s my favorite color! :). I have a huge collection of flow blue plates tea cups, platters. That mirror would be amazing if you painted the exterior gold. A lot of people will be really attracted to it. Your profit will be a lot higher with a gold trimmed mirror! I think white is always a great color. Sometimes I paint all the edges black then go over the entire piece white. Wipe the corners back with a damp cloth. Then you have a nice vintage piece that still looks vintage because wiping it back gives it a vintage look. My Favorite DIY paint is actually called “ DIY Paint “ it’s amazing paint & waxes. Her Paint Brushes are the BEST!!
The mister Peanut is a great item to sell. I have bought & sold 2 for good profit. & the Brass vase I have a large & a small one they are ready to add to my booth this fall. In fact I have over a dozen really great brass items that I’m excited to sell “hopefully” this fall. The last Antique mall you went in looked beautiful. I had a lot of fun riding along with you.
You can distress furniture like the French provincial. Paint it black, seal it & then paint over it in white, then when you lightly sand, the black will be the base you see.
I absolutely agree with you..I love the busted frame!! Most of what I seek out is the next step away from the trash bin!! I get many items at sales for next to nothing because they say" you want that?" Lol
I think they don't use employees that have good product and pricing sense. They charge $1.99 + each for Corelle saucers and plates (should be priced by the set) but huge vintage ironstone items for $3.99
Have the same issue with Goodwill here in PA. Really ridiculous prices these days. Hardly go anymore. They don't realize if they had cheap prices, for what they received for free, they would make more money! A local store here, run by a local church, made a million for charity last year! They have things for 10. cents and up....best prices ever and sales everyday. They have several volunteers. They are closed 2 days a week even. They make money$$. Big difference from goodwill!
Same here. I've seen stuff still marked with the $1 dollar store tag, marked $2.99 at Goodwill and Salvation Army! I used to come out with cartsful, now, if I go, it's just 1-2 things. Disappointing.
As far as the random pricing like 10.36 or 12.56 where I’m from if you notice that everything in that booth all will end in the same number & that would be the booth # making it easy for the cashier to know who the give the sale to.
Great find on the glasses! I never buy a glass for more than a buck. At goodwill they are $2 each now! I have a GW I enjoy for the items, but I agree, the prices are so high, now. I recently decided I needed to find a cheaper ‘thrift’ option and found the local Humane Society store! So well organized, and great prices.
If you are going to start making candles. Purchase pretty coffees cups to put candle wax in. They always go quick & beautiful scents. Highly recommend lily of the valley. Love your videos keep them coming. Des Moines girl loves vintage. Ps did you sell that cobalt blue pitcher? If not what's the price & would you mail it? ❤🤟
Dusty pink for the little table. I love that chippy damaged frame. I have a chippy last supper pic I'm trying to decide whether to sell or not. Love those brass birds too!
I enjoyed seeing all your finds. I agree that Goodwill pricing has really gone up I hardly shop there anymore. I would love to see a tour of your booth, and maybe how you refresh it for the seasons. Thank you for sharing all your tips they are very helpful.
I've also seen one at Goodwill today that appears fairly new. It does have a glass disk lid with a plastic ring to seal. I recall the 60's version that was just a snap on plastic top that didn't truly seal - just kept sloshes inside it lol
Loved the stores. I think the brass vases are the sort of thing that they used to sell at places like Pier 1 Imports and World Bazaar back in the '60s and '70s. Most were from India. Are you or your husband any good with epoxy resin? If so, you could make a plug with a dowel rod through the middle to fit in the neck of your cracked brass vase. Then mix some fast setting resin and pour it into the vase. Plug the vase with the rod sticking out the top, turn it on it's side and rotate the vase with the dowel rod until the resin sets. Don't let the resin touch the plug (or permanent plug 😁) You can also chuck the dowel rod in a drill and turn slowly. When done, the crack should be filled and the vase will hold water.
@@pamb4798 I read where some of the antique store cashiers mix up tags when documenting what is sold. If you have a lot of inventory you may not know what is sold. So if you have several items that are $7.50 or $7.95 you may not realize what was sold. If you have a few items that are $7.23 and $7.56 you could match up your inventory easier. Hope this makes sense.
I love the little basket planter and the busted mirror frame! I tried to make candles in vintage tins, when I poured the liquid wax in soke of the the tins they leaked around the seam at the bottom, so I can't help with advice on how to avoid this, but just a word of caution to maybe test them first? Congrats on your subbies, you'll be speeding past those milestones I'm sure!
Love your video! I agree with you about Goodwill! Prices in Georgia are going up too! Where do you find the link for the floral spheres you used. I loved them!
Agree about goodwill prices. I don't shop there nearly as much as I used to, and when I do go there, I don't bring home as much.
Thank you 🙏 😃
I think pink for the night stand!
Great stuff loved it
Love your videos
Thanks Louise!
Great job
Love the mirrow frame beutiful town
Thanks Joshua!

I was so hoping you would buy that nightstand and repaint and fix it up! I will be anxious to see what you do with it
How about updating that mirror with mercury glass paints...
Great finds! FYI Many Goodwills now are independently owned. They aren't what they use to be.
broken glasses.....BOYS!!!
I’m in east central Iowa and yes our Goodwills prices have gone up.
The mister Peanut is a great item to sell. I have bought & sold 2 for good profit. & the Brass vase I have a large & a small one they are ready to add to my booth this fall. Thanks for watching :)
I have then same vase, inexpensive but I bought it for me not to resell. I love blue glass!
What about Bayberry for your little side table!!!
You can distress furniture like the French provincial. Paint it black, seal it & then paint over it in white, then when you lightly sand, the black will be the base you see.
Yes! Thanks for sharing that :) I have done that trick before with a dark brown paint. It’s a great way to fake it :)
Yes, Goodwill has been really jacking up prices; unreasonably!
Blue pine for the bedside. Id do a white bird or magnolia transfer on the side.
That would be pretty Catherine!
Peony and some transfers
Omg my son and daughter in law just bought a house in Siloam! I was there the same weekend
So cool!
Towle silver-plated Revere bowl?
Hi Melanie I liked the tin that you bought and was wondering have you made any candles yet? That is something that I would like to try. 😊
I really appreciate you explaining why you bought items. It helps me to think outside the box. Thank you
Awesome! I’m so glad :)
Butter mints are my favorite candy and I’ve never found an old tin. I would do a vanilla mint scent for the candle, mmmmmmm.
Someone else just suggested the exact same :)
@@LostFoundDecor I just thrifted the exact tin in the same condition, no lid 🤣 garage sale .50
I think that dresser would be perfect in pink!! That style screams pink. Thanks for sharing!!
I think that’s the direction I’m gonna go with it :)
The mirror frame is stunning. I can see a smoky mirror put back in it.
Yes! It’s really a very cool piece
I absolutely agree with you..I love the busted frame!! Most of what I seek out is the next step away from the trash bin!! I get many items at sales for next to nothing because they say" you want that?" Lol
That’s the best place to find to good stuff Debra!
The ribbed glass is actually a vintage pitcher that has a flat glass lid. I have the same one in my fridge right now.
Yes! I see that now :) I have seen pitchers like it, but since it came without a lid… my mind went to vase. Thanks for clarifying!
@@LostFoundDecor I probably would have thought the same without the lid.
Yup.
Yes, its a vintage juice jar
Good wills prices are getting horrible! I agree! Love your videos
I think they don't use employees that have good product and pricing sense. They charge $1.99 + each for Corelle saucers and plates (should be priced by the set) but huge vintage ironstone items for $3.99
So true…
Thanks for watching Kendra!

Yes… I think you’re right! Someone managing their business operations needs to see they can go a different way…
Same here. I've seen stuff still marked with the $1 dollar store tag, marked $2.99 at Goodwill and Salvation Army! I used to come out with cartsful, now, if I go, it's just 1-2 things. Disappointing.
Goodwill has to pay their employees. It is not a charity shop.

Interesting! I’ve never had that done in any of the malls I’ve sold in. Makes sense though! Thanks for sharing :)
There’s another thrift in Siloam called The Mana Center. It’s a Lol store- Little Old Lady pricing. I find good things there too.
I’ll have to check it out!!
You got some good stuff i used to have that pkant basket it was so cool
Great finds. Thanks so much for sharing
Appreciate you watching Penny :)
Go PINK on the nightstand with a little gold gilding on the edges and hardware... sounds super cute to me!
I’ve asked on some other platforms also, everyone is picking the pink! I think that’s gonna be the go-to
Love your shopping trips! Thanks for taking us along!
Great finds!!! I love cobalt blue; I Have a beautiful Italian glass vase, in that color! Love the pitcher you found last week!
great inspiration and ideas, thanks much!
Thanks for watching Pam :)

Love the frame!
Thanks! It was a great find!
My vote for the night stand would be a pink tone since French Provincial for me is a delicate design. But, a soft aqua/green would also be pretty.
That’s great input Penny!
New sub ! Liked 🙏👏☀️😊
Thanks so much!

Thanks for the candle tips Kathy! I did sell the cobalt pitcher, but I do still have the cobalt glass vase :)
Here’s another vote for pink on the nightstand. I’d love to see your finished project! Loved the Mr. Peanut canister, too. Thanks for taking us along.
I went with the pink! Thanks!!
That French Provincial side table would be cute painted blue, and then white wax it a little.
Great ideas Dolores! Thank you :)
Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your channel. Been watching a while and wanted to tell you that you do things just right…in my opinion anyway. 🙃
Thanks so much! I appreciate the encouragement :)
Dusty pink for the little table. I love that chippy damaged frame. I have a chippy last supper pic I'm trying to decide whether to sell or not. Love those brass birds too!
Thanks watching Cass 😁😁
My advice for the buttermint tin candle is to use essential oils and make a peppermint/vanilla scent.
Thanks Deb!

You’re welcome Tamara! Thanks so much for watching 😁😁
Enjoyed going thrift shopping with you. You mentioned your booth. I would like to see a video on that.
French table...for me I would paint it Robin's egg blue but champagne pink is very popular...rose gold hardware???
Thanks! Blue is usually what I go with, but I think I’m feeling pink for this one!
Hi Melanie. I would be interested to know how you would prep the French piece. I have something similar and it is so shiny. Thanks
Will do Louise. I’m actually working on a video for it, and will have it here in a week or two :)
Paint the side table a flat or satin black. Polish up or highlight the hardware. Looks really high-end. (I've seen one similar on Lone Fox).
Thanks for the ideas!
Love Siloam for thrifting!
Loved the brass birds and night stand can't wait to see how you finish it.
Thanks! We’ll shall see 😁😁🤩!
How much for the brass cranes?
Here they are! lostandfounddecor.shop/products/pair-hanging-brass-cranes
11:12 that's a vintage juice bottle. I find them but always are missing their snap on plastic lid. For sure would make a great vase!
Yes! I see it is a juice bottle now :) The fact it was missing the lid threw me off 😂

Odd numbers in pricing helps with inventory….so what was sold doesn’t get mixed up.
Thanks!
Could you explain what you mean?

Say "thrift flipping" three times fast. :D
That’s a mouthful for sure!
Everybody is raising their prices out of necessity. Goodwill is no different than any other business.

Where do you find the link for the floral spheres you used. I loved them!
Hi Linda! Thanks so much! The link should have popped up in the video, but here it is also: lostandfounddecor.shop/collections/floral-greenery
LOVE YOUR DESK, what color is it?
Thanks! I bought it from Ballard Designs, it’s a color they use. But I think it’s pretty close to Blue Pine? Maybe a tad bit lighter
