I love how you give your movie space to breathe and move along at its own pace. The sounds of sailing are so important and you capture that in a deeply satisfying way.
Thankyou sir we are stoked you enjoy that, us too. Thanks for tuning in fair winds 🤙
Agree
No music, no fast forwarding, just straight up sailing. Really appreciate the video guys. Thank you!
NIcely filmed, nicely narrated, nicely sailed. Bravo. Light air management is always a challenge. You were brilliant.
Thank you sir! Fair winds 🤙
Very natural and humble presentation of skilled adventure sailing. Thanks, from Norway.🙏
Hi, I just found your channel. I love that you don’t drown the ambient sounds out with music.
Cheers mate and thanks for watching 🤙
Thank you for having the sound of the sea in your vids, makes it way better actually hearing it without some royalty free music over it
Cheers for tuning in 🤙
I feel like jumping into the boat and immersing myself in the wildness of nature. Most people have never been naked in the wilderness under life threatening conditions. But, in all the chaos, is beauty, beyond imagination.
You guys are the best sailing UA-camr so far!!!
Thankyou kind sir, happy watching 🤙
Wow. Amazing achievement and so inspirational to all us wannabe sailors. Sam, Nicole, take a bow. Take care and keep the videos coming. Garry x
Cheers mate, appreciate the comment. Fair winds and take care 🤙
Very wonderful. Seemed simplisticly done, I know there was a lot of work. Kudos for showing how to calmly enjoy. Good health to you all.
Very well done, natural, like I really felt your emotions. Best ever!
Really enjoyed the rhythm of the video, it put my mind at ease. Thanx for that.
Congrats! Thanks for taking me along on the journey. I love the videos.
Cheers for watching 🤙
Thank you for allowing me a Sunday afternoon on the mid coast of Maine laying in my bed taking a respite from the woes of the world 🌎 and couldn't think of nicer people to make the passage with.
Thank you sir very kind. Glad we could provide you such a respite, thanks for tuning in.
Cheers 🤙
Great content for the second day of my Christmas holiday. Just had a fun surf now chilling out watching your Atlantic crossing so good 🤙
Just discovered your channel. Really appreciate the lack of nonsense and the focus on actual sailing, great sailing sounds and sights, mellow music that doesn't take away from the experience. I'll be joining all you sailors on the ocean in the years to come. Cheers.
Thanks for watching mate, glad you enjoyed it!😊
Oh my word. I’m in heaven. Was just longing to sail the Pacific & now I have 🥹 do you need crew 🙋🏻♀️
Love that you take time to video the essence of sailing. Long shots of motion. Thank you.
Thank you sir glad you enjoy, stay tuned!
So very cool. Been great following your adventure. Wonderful atmosphere to your storytelling.
Thanks so much Chris 🤙
It was so interesting to hear the sounds of sailing! And great to watch your journey. Now to go back and watch the other 30 episodes!

Good on you guys. Great job and awesome video. Love your editing style.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it!:)
Congrats! And wow Eckart Tolle 3 weeks out into the pacific….talking about “in the moment!”
Getting pretty deep there. Cheers 🤙
Magnificent, a real immersion in your crossing, which allows the escape of the spirit according to the swell and the wind, it brings back memories of past crossings, thank you and good wind.
Glad we could help you remember your past crossings. Take care and fair winds 🤙
Congratulations and thanks for the amazing videography - lots of sailing shots which is awesome. Also I love the obsession with boat speed - I am exactly the same…
Awesome and thanks for tuning in mate. Fair winds 🤙
Thank you so much for your inspiring sailing videos. Keep it up and fair winds to you all on your journey. In next month (April) the sailing season starts in Norway too, yes! Love from Norway.
Thank you so much for your kind comment Per, glad our videos provide some value for you! Lykke til med vårpussen, vi savner å seile i Norge❤️
So Epic!!! You should be so proud. The whole journey and the documentary is a testament to you both. Yewwwwwww I just wish I was there on that one ❤️😎🍻
Yew, cheers Sir Ceri Williams! 🍻🤙
Many congratulations on your excellent achievement. Your videos are something else and I always enjoy them, Fair winds from Devon UK.
Thanks so much and glad to have you watching along. Take care 🤙
Another awesome video!!! And a huge congratulations on your achievement. You do such a great job of sharing the feeling of sailing and what a passage like this would be like. One day, hopefully sooner than later, I hope to be exploring similar seas. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Thankyou mate appreciate the compliment. Cheers for tuning in and hope to see you out on the water one day. Fair winds 🤙
Thanks for the share. Great to watch 👍
WoW! Reading The Power of Now in the middle of the pacific ocean! What a great combination!! Thanx for the awesome crossing share!
No better time for a spiritual journey inwards hah:) Glad you enjoyed it! Take care
Nice passage, very peaceful and mesmerizing. Thanks!
Cheers buddy, fair winds 🤙
I wish you would do more fishing and show it on camera to and show you dressing it out and even cooking it . Show you fishing every day even if you throw them back!
What an epic trip. I can only imagine how you would all have felt. I must say you always have a cultured boat. It's the little things that make the trip comfortable. Good on you 👏
Thankyou sir, we were sure exhausted and super keen for a long nights sleep 🤙 take care.
Your videos are so informative and entertaining at the same time. Very nice job, very well done. My wife and I are new to sailing and these videos have be so helpful. Thank you
Thank you so much guys, glad you get some good value from it!:)
I enjoy watching your progress in all things sailing. Your straight forward honesty and humility as you continue is refreshing and I hope you never become the know it all sailors like so many other cruisers have become. Thanks for sharing this part of your dream with us so we to can experience it also. Have you figured out the reason for the starter battery being dead. Magic Carpet did their last video with a Naval architect he was very interesting as he broke down all the benefits of each of the type of batteries what they can and can not do. I thought of you guy’s while I was watching it. Please don’t change this is the good stuff of life.
Thanks so much for this comment it’s a pleasure to read. We’re still learning everything ourselves so no risk of heading the way you describe. The battery was approx 5 years old and simple Lead-acid only charging off a dumb charge alternator so we guess it just died out but not sure. Thanks for following along, take care 🤙
Congradts y’all from Texas!! Great vid, and what an accomplishment to have crossed the Pacific!!!! Lookin fwd to see what you share about French Poly!!!
Thank you so much mate! We are super stoked to have made it and can't wait to share videos of FP:) All the best
cool stuff. Love your ideaof capturing the background in stead of silence or music. That is afterall what sailing is about.
Congratulations guys on another crossing. Fantastic!
Cheers mate fair winds 🤙
It took me 24 days in 1980, same route as you. Nice remembering. Thanks for not playing music all the time.
That’s a good run, no worries at all. t
Thanks for tuning in. 🤙
Good job, you all did a fantastic adventure. I enjoyed sailing with you. Thanks for the ride.
Cheers for watching mate 🤙
The saga of the HMS Bounty is one of the most fascinating stories ever told. The skills (and a fair bit of luck) it took for Bligh to get his crew safely to Timor with only one man lost - just unbelievable. Definitely worth reading.
I’m now caught up with all your videos. Which means you should be at a million and sixteen total views by now ;-). Spectacular adventure well-told/documented. Congratulations on all your accomplishments thus far.
Hi Mate! Yeah it sure is a very interestering story! Thank you so much for following along!🙏🏻
Congrats on safely crossing 4,000nm's of open ocean & getting 1mm views of your videos to boot! What an amazing trip from Norway to the Marquesas! Great job outfitting her for the journey, maintaining her in transit (she could use a good hull scrub now though!) and keeping your head together on a mind numbing trip of endless horizon, varying winds & seas and seemingly endless sail changes. I can't imagine that SV Beaver will much more than say 5 knots today (as you arrive at the Southern tip of the Marquesas) regardless of wind, sea state or desire based on the upside down garden growing below! Welcome back to land, you must feel like a million bux (or views?)!!! Good on Ya!
Wow thank you so much for your lovely comment David! It means a lot to us! It sure has been a great trip, and we are pretty stoked to have made it this far! Haha yeah she was getting very slow towards the end of that trip with all the growth below, don't think we have ever seen her that grotty ever and she was definitely due for a big scrub. Thanks again for watching mate and your kind words! Take care
@@SailingBeaver Sam, Nichole, Rob? Where are you? I know that I'm a little social media stupid, but- I haven't caught a post in over 3 weeks? Are you folks posting @ Instagram or FB? (OK, I'll admit it. I'm a lil older, and I worry about you guys a bit. 3 weeks in Fr. Poly w/o anything is nerve wracking.) Do you guys need help? Would a land based bloke be helpful? You folks are with me all the time- a simple YT response will get action immediately. Possibly, you're doing the next long leg- then good, positive thoughts may give you a boost at sea? Update when you can. Dave
Hi David! We are all good mate, just been catching up on so work and working on the next video. Thanks for looking out for us. Take care
Thanks- quite a relief to know that all is well. It WAS a long passage, recovery was needed, getting land legs & re-stocking w/ fruits & veggies.... It must've felt amazing to eat fresh food- let alone NOT having to cook it! Nichole- I can't imagine how awesome eating other people's cooking must've been! Haha- good on all of you!
WELL DONE GUYS!!!! 🎉
Congratulation beautiful video and trip for you , great sailing days.
Cheers🤩
we got caught out there for a week one time with no wind.... Always over-provision, especially the rum
And that right there at the end is what it is all about! Brought a tear to me eyes 👀
Us too mate, cheers for watching.
I’m looking forward to your future journeys :)
love it...thx for this mates.. well done , cheers !
Cheers and fair winds mate. 🤙
What an amazing accomplishment! Bravo!
Cheers guys take care 🤙
nice and honest sailing channel. thank you guys for sharing
Thank you kind sir 🤙
That was a really cool shot with the moon dancing around the sail.
Loved your videos from your pacific crossing, I hope to do it myself next year
Thanks for watching glad you enjoy. Fair winds 🤙
Well done, thanks for taking us along. My Transatlantic In 1989 in 17 days pales by comparison.
No worries thanks for joining us. Take care and fair winds 🤙
Epic trip! That's just amazing.
Cheers, fair winds 🤙
New to your Chanel today. Love it!
Cheers from Delaware
Awesome! Thank you!
Epic sail! Well done!
Cheers 🤙
Truely epic. I'll be doing masive legs across open ocean soon. Thanks for giving me an indication of what it will be like
Thankyou, glad you enjoyed and good luck on your trip 🤙
@@SailingBeaver Thanks. You too
That meal looked so tasty. The sailing was great too. LOL! Stay groovy and stay safe.
Thanks mate it sure was tasty! Take care
I enjoy watching yall
Congratulations, iam looking forward to see what's to come
Cheers and fair winds sir 🤙
Awesome journey, great work!
Thanks a lot!
Loved it as usual.
Cheers Carolina!
Great job guys. Cheers 🍻🍻🍻 & Fair Winds ⛵
Thank you so much! Fair winds
Great video, remembering what it was like from our circumnavigation in the 1980s, presently cruising the Bahamas. My wife's book is a good read, published by Austin Macauley of New York, literally a fictional story of sailing and adventure: "Seychelle and the Cannabis Yachties". It is very entertaining, hoping you will give it a read.
Thank you so much sir! That sounds interesting, will have to look it up😊 Take care
Congratulations! That's no small feat!
Cheers mate!
Congratulation for this Pacific Crossing and also for your videos !
Thanks mate!
Amazing trip
What an amazing achievement for you all. From one amazing country , Norway, to the jewels of the Pacific . ps....your footage of the hydrovane over your video's is by far and away the best I've seen. I recon you should license the footage to hydrovane or at least link from their site, would help youtube traffic to your site and keep you sailing on as your documentary is excellent.
Thankyou sir appreciate the comment. It’s been an amazing journey. We really love the Hydrovane and love sharing how it operates so cheers for that idea 🤙
Que lindo poder ver o oceano, que todos os sonhos de voces se realizem.
Congratulations on the long crossing!!!
Cheers Tom, fair winds 🤙
great film. nice to contrast to Ruby Rose and others who yap all the video about themselves
Many thanks! Glad you enjoyed it:)
You guys deserve a big congrats on the trip and way you have really captured the essence of the journey
The audio visual is outstanding and finds its own pace, let’s use harmonious for want of a better word! Nicely done! Did you catch any fish?
Thank you sir a very kind comment. Glad you enjoy and thanks for tuning in. Some Mahi close to panama but no big tuna this time. 🤙
I WATCH MANY CHANNELS WEEKLY AS I AM RETIRED OFFSHORE FISHERMAN . THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME WATCHING YOU KIDS. TOTALLY AWESOME !!!!!! NO BULLSHIT. CLICKBAIT. GIMMICKS OR CRAP TOTALLY CHILL. ALSO NO KIDS. WAKEBOARDS. JETSKIES. HOPEFULLY NOT WHEN YOU HIT THE BEACH. I AM ALL IN. SEE YOU NEXT VID.
Loved it 👍
Thanks☺️
Beautiful! No drama, just the crossing. As usual, the good strategy and safe sailing is very inspiring. I hope to do the same route one day. Nothing seems to break or fail in your crossings. Were there any mishups?
Thankyou sir glad you enjoyed. Nothing major although we sail very conservative especially on a big one like this. We did have a battery failure in Part 2. Good luck on your cruising plans 🤙
amazing journey ,i felt like i was out there with you
Thanks a ton mate!
awesome
I love how everyone looks like they've been operating on two little sleep for the last 2 weeks. Which pretty much perfectly sums up any long crossing in a sailboat.
Wow..Epic..
Cheers 🤙
Great video, lekker man lekker. (lekker = nice = great) SA Afrikaans.
Cheers Steven! We actually say lekker in Norwegian too😅
@@SailingBeaver 🤣👍
@@SailingBeaver same in the netherlands! Lekker man! 😁
Kudos Rob. Every passage needs a chilled out Aussie Yotty.
Haha true that. 🤙
thanks for the video guys enjoyed it alot just got worried seeing you swimming of the back of the boat had vision's of a great white (sorry),anyway am impressed with your sailing and your sunscreen hats sun safety ect will enjoy following your channel happy days guys + girls
Cheers and thanks for tuning in. We were a little more worried then usual, hence being so close to the boat haha. In the Atlantic we would be much more time further back. 🦈
My wife and I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and quickly worked our way through all of the episodes. We really like the mood in your videos. Great video too. Not too much music, as others have commented, but what there is is beautiful. Where do get the music tracks? Would like to hear more, if you could add a list of track/credits to future posts. Eagerly awaiting the next episode. Great work!
Lovely to hear you guys have been enjoying the vids and we hope to get some more out soon so stay tuned lots to come. All our music comes from Epidemicsound.com as we need royalty free music to use on UA-cam. We’ll try to list the titles moving forward. 🤙
One more great episode!
Thank you sir. Fair winds 🤙
@@SailingBeaver I must admit that you are my favourite channel! You guys are really great.
Wow that's a great compliment, thank you so much that means a lot to us! Take care
@@SailingBeaver hey guys, when is the next episode out? Can’t wait!
Oh yeah. Really good one. Great video series
Curious as to how you secure the dinghy to the front coach roof as I don’t see any straps across the hull?
Cheers for watching. We secure to the mast base and via the dinghy hull padeye to the inner forestay chainplate. 🤙
ahoy beaver, so awsum 😁🖐
Cheers 🤙
Good job
Cheers:)
What a creepy sound when the wind passes your auto pilot
The only life is boat life ❤
Epic
🤙
🤩
Haven’t seen a recent video. Hope you are both well.
He's the spitting image of the man with the yellow hat from Curious George.
Very nice crossing. What did you think of The Power of Now? I highly recommend it to people but they usually say they'll read it Later. I have the audio version and it's been life changing to internalize that message and put it's methods into practice.
Thank you so much! I really liked it and I think everyone can benefit from the ability to stay more present and take control of the mind. He had a lot of good points that I definitely gained some personal value from. I had to re-read a lot of the chapters to be honest to fully comprehend the intent, and I still go back and read sections over again. I would recommend it to anyone, specially to read it on an ocean crossing where you have so much time to reflect and put things in perspective being away from the hustle of the every day life on land. Take care mate
@@SailingBeaver I've re-listened to it on Audible about 10 times over the last 6 years. I like the audio version. His voice adds something for sure. Bring on the ocean immerses one in being-ness I'm sure. An apropos book for a passage.
Missing your videos guys!
Hi,
Where are you guys? Missing your channel. Hope you are producing content still. You are my favorite channel due the fact you are really the only channel to talk about sea conditions, wind, and sail types.
Anyway hope you are well, and look forward to seeing more adventures.
Thanks!
Hi mate! We are still here, just had a little break! New video coming soon😀 Thank you so much for watching!
What do you always carry in those jerry cans near the bow? Diesel, water or both?
Diesel in the yellow ones and water in the blue ones:)
Hi. I am slowly catching up with your latest video but have jumped ahead to ask you why you fly a New Zealand ensign? I am really enjoying your channel. Currently watching your vides from the Caribbean.
Thanks Neville! Glad you enjoy them! Sam is dual citizen kiwi/australian
VGet some dog bowl with the rubber on the bottom so it don’t slide they’re perfectly out of on the Ocean
