Thank you for the video Riesa! So educational. Had never thought to do a mushroom, veg or egg broth. Will definitely be trying these out, Harper will be very happy to try! 😄❤
I am grateful for this. Our dogs do go through seasonal allergies from August to Nov. I try to prepare the gut early on. We rotate probiotics. I agree 💯 bone broth becomes high histamine if they are fed broth cooked for several hours. I just may make a veggie broth instead. I do use a company called, Solutions Pet Products. If I made a fish broth here, I may have to sleep in the dog house.😅 I have done it before. I do use medicinal mushrooms. I would try making a medicinal mushroom broth. You just inspired me! Thanks to Bowie, too. ❤ Love from Florida!
Tx u so so much. Whetre can we buy these products that r being used in th4 broth ? Burdock or dandelions root ? Had a quick look the mushroom post as well. I am.umable to find any of these mushrooms locally, any dried versions that can recommend will be really helpfull. Regarding sesame oil, we cook our food in sesame oil is that ok to give or is there a dog specific one Tx y so much for reading and answering my questions.
Hello, where r u based? You can use dried burdock and dandelion roots. Find the organic ones from reliable sources. You can use any mushrooms that are safe for human consumption, even as simple as white button mushrooms from supermarkets. If you can't find fresh ones, you can use the dried version like dried shiitake mushrooms which are pretty common in Asian market/supermarkets. Yes, I use human version of pure sesame oil. Just double check the ingredients to make sure there are no artificial additives etc.
Hi thanks a lot for the sharing. I use the ADF calculator to formulate my dog food and I bellieve that it is better to use whole food instead of supplyment. I am not sure to what extent the deficiencies is significant so that supplements should be added. As I input the ingredients of your recipe, there is some deficiencies in Zn, Mn and Vitamin E. Does it mean it is OK?
Hello, depending on the recipes and ingredients, I use different sources and combinations to get those nutrients (eg. wheatgrass, oysters/mussels, nuts/seeds, healthy oil, turmeric/other herbs etc). Rotating between recipes, different wholefoods is definitely recommended to make sure there are no nutrient excesses/deficiencies. Also just check if you're inputing the right type of ingredient to the ADF 😊🩷
Thanks for these recipes. I am definitely gonna try preparing all of them.
🤗🩷 let us know how you go 🩷
