    The SF90 just proves that Porsche was right with the 918 after all. Awd, electric power up front, gasoline power at the rear. This is literally Ferrari's take on the 918.

      i wonder what kind of a person would choose an Enzo over a LaFerrari. Choosing LaFerrari over the SF90 I can "kinda" get it since LaF is V12 N/A vs SF90 which is V8 turbo. So I can buy it. But choosing an Enzo over a LaFerrari? I am sorry but this qualifies under "stupid".

    I know the channel puts out different types of video. But when its you and Jason this channel offer something none of the others do. It's got a touch of Top Gear without feeling like a rip off.
    When its both of you, you have content that could be watched by people who aren't massively into cars.
    If you can keep putting out both of you all it takes is one video going viral and having the back catalog for people to binge and this channel is going to be massive, down the road i could see you guys being offered a TV show. A lot of the super car guys can be a bit unrelatable but even when you're talking about buying a £250'000 car you don't seem flash.
    You guys really have chemistry, When Jason got the Volvo like a proper friend you showed interest and when you have owed a F40 it could have been easy to be disinterest that kind of mutual respect makes it feel like joining to real Friends. Sorry i went on a bit just wanted to acknowledge the excellence of this channel before it blows up and its 40'000 comments.
    And to the other fans, recommend it to others the more viewers the more videos we get hopefully

    Thanks Damian. Excellent video. Really great to see behind the curtain of an exclusive Ferrari VIP launch function. I agree with many of your observations. Stunning looking car. The limited range for EV mode. The positioning of the badge at the rear, but, most importantly the fact that it’s another production Ferrari. I think you can guarantee Ferrari will improve the performance and range of the second and third generations of their production hybrids. And, I just wonder if they’ve rushed this SF90 to market rather than completing and launching the La Ferrari replacement first; might’ve been a better marketing strategy for creating demand for their everyday hybrid with buyers that were not in the La Ferrari target market. I also agree with your reservations on the price. After all, if we’re being truthful, it’s really just a hybrid F8 or 488 production Ferrari and a 250K price tag would seem more appropriate (even if they have used more carbon fibre and touchscreen tech). Anyway, thanks for another awesome clip.

    Thank you for sharing the event with all of us! I can't help but think those who have ordered either version of the Pista are going to take it on the chin and the F8 will look like the "smart" buy of the mid-engined V8 group - even as it depreciates - given how much it offers. It seems obvious - as you've discussed - that the pace isn't driven by brand needs or even the market - which they define and dominate - but because they need to move the share price quickly. I do hope the SF90 is superb to drive, as I love Ferrari's products, but I am concerned about their direction and emerging priorities. Safe travels home.

    I had the pleasure to be at the event and agree with everything you said. Ferrari's rate of recent launches (Pista, F8, SF90) is unprecedented. SF90 on a unlimited production run means I'll stick with the Pista which is harder to obtain and will be quasi limited edition in comparison. Do you guys agree?

    • @Toddmars
      @Toddmars 5 років тому

      Personally I like the Pista as my favorite. It's a nod to the classics with it's stripped out bare bones interior but brutal engine. Which is twin turbo like an f40, and bare bones like a f430 scuderia.

    • @Toddmars
      @Toddmars 5 років тому

      @@TheCarGuysTV The problem with his statement about the Pista is the same problem Mclaren automotive has been going through. Which is they bring out a special edition car like 675LT and the exact same year they announce and the 720s. Which had more power and performance with a newer sexier design. The F8 tributo will EAT the sales and devalue the 488 Pista because it has more power and updated interior and design. This happened to the 911R when they quickly announced the 911 touring. Same car except one is a 991.1 and the other is 991.2 less than one year apart before they release new model.
      It's NEVER EVER smart to launch an ultimate series car like the Pista and then announce the f8 almost same year. In USA we don't even have the Pista in dealerships yet!!!!!! I've been checking btw.

      Baloo Bagheera Not necessarily, I do agree with you on one point that is going to buy a pista for future value although the SF90 is expensive i think not everyone can afford a 600k car. But they had to produce several Car models to keep up with the supercar market that is growing so fast day by day. So in my opinion, it is amazing to see this beauty and hope to see new models in the future as well!

    I actually think the short electric range might be a plus for a hybrid sportscar, because it means they were able to leave out the heavy big battery packs and keep the weight relatively modest, but the capacity is still enough to give you those eyewatering accelerations from standstill that you only get from electric motors (and you can drive into electric-only city centers).

      Ferrari faking their numbers is usually the talk out of america, but it niever really happens. Also 0-62 in under 2.8 seconds is almost impossible. The record was 3.2 seconds for decades. Because thats what the Mclaren F1 could do. And that was the pinnacle of what cars could do back then. Its only with new tyre technology and 4 wheel drive that you can get lower.
      The new Ferrari claiming 2.4 - 2.5 - something, has 4 wheel drive and an electric motor assist that can calculate the traction with computers. No human can do that.

      You know, I'm the first one to slap my forehead every damn time someone say Corvette vs. F12, or Corvette vs 812, and all the rest of it. HOWEVER, after seeing the cars in person, you know what. There are in fact similarities in the headlights in this one. Yuo may not like it, you may think it's besides the point - I don't and I do. But it is there, clear as day. That front do have some similarities to that damned Corvette.
      Is that the same as the rest of the car being Corvette-like, or it having "stolen" the tail lights off a Camaro? No, of course not. That's asinine statements, but as far as the front goes, yep, it is in fact similar to the Corvette.

    • @danyb97
      @danyb97 5 років тому

      ABOlsen69X Actually you should say that the corvette now has a LaFerrari and 488 Pista Front end. This is because they had to change the car from front to mid-engined car so they had to work out the design of the front and Ferrari has the best design in terms of aero and functionality which made them sharpen the corvette’s hood. Thats why people say it looks like a Ferrari. And you can’t forget that by the time manufacturers advance in car architectures, almost everyone is going to have similarities in designs.

Also bit worried about the sheer number of new cars they are going to produce each year from now. I wrote on another video taking the pee about the problem with McLaren was the amount of new models and replacements they make so soon after the one before and now My beloved Ferrari are sort of doing it...
