Sorry for the huge slowdown and keeping you behind for a while, but as a result we had a nice fight on the track :) In this race I made a critical mistake at the very beginning, which slowed me down the distance of the whole race, it was a great learning for me and a great pleasure to race with you. This is first time I see your video, I can judge you are a good player. Racing is not always about win. I am 100% with you that GTS FIA races need damage effect implementation in this third season.

I don't see you coming back to GT sport once you start playing iracing. iracing has just far better physics, the driving experience is simply better. And settings do matter. And the competition is also better. This is where all real life drivers hang, like Rubens Barichello, Dale Ernhart Jr, Scott Speed and other F1 drivers. The only down side is the graphics, but iracing has everything else. Can't wait to see you play.
I do play iRacing already but just not at my house. The competition in the top lobbies of GT Sport is challenging, similar to the level of iRacing but of course the are other variables in iRacing which make it tougher. I enjoy both games :)
Awaiting for the ACC videos, and please use the in-car camera :)

Great video as usual David. Just an observation...you are shifting just like the Ferrari gr3 in gt sport....very late and although this is not my favorite car i do have a lot of track time and i found that i killed my overall pace doing that. I initially didn't plan on being home but things worked out and i was able to finish 4th with the Honda version and 6th on my other account with the Toyota version.

Yep, he does. Also, you don’t need to hit the apex @ the hairpin to be faster.
Absolutely underrated SIM-Section. Despite other good steamers give 'lap guide', your strategy considerations are so much more diverse and can helped me a lot in those specific scenarios. And I guess it would also coach already faster E-Athlethes. Too bad (for me) that you do not find more time for game content. But good luck and happy real life racing! I am rooting for you.

Yea for the PS4 I only use the T-GT because of the button mapping :)

I never played this game, but i think your throttle input is often a bit too aggressive, and unsettles the balance of the car. Have you tried smoother inputs and compared times?

A couple of questions: IRL you stomp on the brakes in the GT3 car and work the ABS. In ACC I set the ABS to 1 so I can control turn-in rotation with feathering the brakes. Is this just a difference between real life GT3 & ACC?
As in my IRL racing, I listen to the tires in ACC as another input of how close I’m to the limit of the traction circle. But in your GT videos it seams like the tires are always screaming for mercy. Is this just how GT does tire audio and you need to gauge the traction circle visually by comparing steering input to vehicle tracking along the road?

Yes it is a GT sport thing. Even if you have a ultimate grip you will still have squealing tyres.

@@barryherron1744 If the tires squeal even if they are not losing grip then the sound doesn't tell you anything.
IRL with the 200 tread wear club racing I do having the tires making some sound is when you are on the traction circle. If they start squalling like in GT you are scrubbing off speed.

heh TX3_Sskilla got skilled. he tried to squeeze you and pushed too hard. I would be interested to see if he got a penalty since contact occurred with your right hand tires on the edge of the track. These cars, this track. It was rather static. The cars can go 180 181 mph in clean air. 184ish in slip or with overtake engaged. Really really hard to catch people who aren't making mistakes. But, I love gr x, f1, gr1, gr2 races. I do really well usually.
"Dirty air" as they call it only seems to give me more tire wear. Perhaps because I spent the whole of the official Manufacturer season with "the understeer" car. The McClaren F1. Of course, dirty air is a double edged sword. More tire wear as you scramble to keep the clean air line through the corners, but faster down the straights with drafting.
P.S. I made the same mistake in Dragon Trails Seaside II yesterday with the tires. First lap on hards, pit, screw it up, second lap on hards, pit softs softs. The time loss cost me 3 positions so I ran it again :D.

You seem to be one of the most down-to-earth professional GT3 race car drivers and since you do a lot of videos about driving in Blancpain GT series, could I ask for a video about more obscure things about GT3 cars in general? Like how comfortable they are to drive, how's the driving position, does the A/C actually help, can the race engineer control the car in some way like changing engine maps, reliability and so on?
Have you ever tried F1 by codemasters? And how do you rate it?
Yea I play it sometimes but it’s really just a game. The physics are not accurate enough IMO.
Dumb question : why a 2 stop anyway ? Was it mandatory?
You have to use both tyre types but anyway Soft/Soft/Medium was the quickest strategy.

That's one reason I don't like how you're teleported through the pits. It doesn't give you any time to actually look at what tire to pick. Plus, realism.

They are mechanical damage at least but its on light setting (which last a couple sec)I don't know why PD doesn't go full damage(which would require repair in the pit) for FIA
At least in top tier groups it would make sense to make the damage realistic
@@DavidPerel PD did experiment with Full damage in the off season. i remember crashing a gr1 machine in turn 1 i had to go a full laps at 30 mph to get to the pit back then the race was around 8-10 laps it was pretty much over -_-
