Is there any aspects to take into account ? ( How high and the correct angle for your legs )
In sim racing you want to be comfortable but also make sure that your arms are not too stretched out. This is important for catching slides or going around tight hairpins.

Love this channel! Are there any "rule of thumbs" (you mentioned having legs relaxed) for how to set the pedals, wheel etc for optimum placement? Ie - elbows bent 100 degrees, legs slightly bent etc or just general rules of thumbs?
not a bad setup dude. TM are great, I have a t300rs but I'm slowly moving away from TM to V3 pedals and hopefully a DD wheel in the future. One thing at a time ofc... I have a GT Omega Pro Cockpit and whilst dirt cheap and good enough for my needs, it does flex quite a bit. If I want to upgrade to a DD in the future then I'll need to upgrade the rig too...

Nice setup! I got earlier this year TS-PC because of the open wheel and drivehub so I can use it with PlayStation, Xbox or PC. That Sparco seat though... looks and feels so much better than my playseat.

Love the rig setup. Quick questions from a drivers perspective which game do you believe has the most realistic feel, in terms of force feedback and track accuracy. While I know each wheel has different settings which do you believe is the closest to real life, and when your playing AC is it the original version or the ACC on pc?

I upgraded to Thrustmaster 300RS for PlayStation from Logitech a while ago. I've been thinking about upgrading again to a Fanatec Podium and a PC. I think its interesting you said you preferred Thrustmaster over Fanatec. Are you talking about belt driven models only? I've never been fortunate enough to use Fanatecs gear, so what exactly is the reason you prefer Thrustmaster over Fanatec?

Very nice man I actually just started my setup I have the csw v2.5 the formula v2 rim the csl elite pedals with the loadcell brak I also have a gt omega apex wheelstand and im going to be getting my new comp in the next few months of course by cheistmas and ill be set for now im good with all of that I cant wait until automobilista 2 comes out finally a new sim lol its going to be hot I hope its everything we all hope it is or all it should be to be honest but awesome setup buddy awesome stuff

hey david ! now that you have an PC with ACC have you ever considered getting a VR Headset ? And how is it for you using brake pedals without loadcell...good news is that there will be a loadcell pedal set soon from thrustmaster. And with Thrustmaster as your sponsor are you obliged to use their gear for simracing or can you get whatever you want ?
btw: great race at barcelona yesterday...watched the replay and how you cought up from last to 2nd and even 1st if the race would have been 1 lap longer ;D
Appreciate the tour. I feel your setup is more feasible to have for the sim racing community. When you get your PC, it would be awesome to a review of Assetto Corsa and if you had any difficulties getting a good setup with your wheel.

The move from remote to wheel should help you improve by multiple seconds over a race distance. It’s a huge advantage mate. 👍👍

Been wanting to get into sim racing for a while just can't afford it, is the g29 setup worth it or no?
Elvisrock 13 I highly recommend the Thrustmaster T300 RS GT. Wait for Black Friday, I’ve seen them go for around $250. It has better force feedback than the g29 and the upgraded pedals are substantially better than the g29 pedals. VR is definitely on the shopping list... but $$$$ of course 😅
@@DavidPerel I know, Dave. It took me a while to decide but this was less costly than a tripple monitor setup. Also there is the sacrifice of resolution...but, if you have an opportunity, try it out. hi David.Nice rig. you mentioned that you had a playseat and went over to sparco. I suffer with back pains and the playseat that i have now is not helping a lot. I have some friends who have a gt omega, but i fancy more the Sparco. what unit do you have now, and is it comfortable?

Assetto Corsa + PC + mods = you'll never leave the house 😀 get Content Manager for AC.
+1 to Content Manager. Its a million times better in terms of usability, especially if you get the paid version (Donation system. Price completely to your own choosing)

hi David, Sorry to annoy you again with some questions. What i like to know is your FFB settings on GT Sport. I find it very difficult to set the FFB force higher than 3 (because than the wheel is getting to heavy) and the track feeling is normally on 4. I play with T150 Pro (don't have patreon who can support me LOL) and usually set the FFB on 2/4. some guys play at 10/10 but this is nuts.. I know Tidgney is setting it to 3/4 or 3/3. thanks for the feedback. keep up the good work on your channel (nice vid by the way on I-racing, honest and spot on) .

Hey mate, for me, using a T-GT, I have mine 10/10 - to me it still feels quite light but I am not sure if that's purely related to the T-GT as opposed to other wheels which are maybe more usable at 5/5. The key is to just set it to something youre comfortable with.

Hey Coach Dave! Would you mind do a video on how you decide your brake balance and when to shift properly on a car? In the last track guide you mentioned that you have to short shift to get the best torque. How do you know this? I’m pretty casual so maybe this is a dumb question. Either way it would be nice to know what to look for and how you make these kinds of decisions! Thanks :)
Hey mate, I am thinking of ways to do some useful technical videos as you mentioned. I know about the short shifting only because I always test it while I’m practicing. I also watch the best laps of the top guys and if they’re short shifting I know to copy them.

Can you do a 2021 sim rig tour?
I like my Thrustmaster formula wheel a lot. Encourage Thrustmaster to release a direct drive wheel. I did replace my t3pa pedals with fanatec clubsport v3's though as wanted the load cell brake. Course this breaks console compatibility though :(.
I’m sure they’re working on some stuff for DD but I’m not sure to be honest. Let’s hope so!

I’ve used quite a few DD wheels mate. To me they’re not that amazing compared to belt driven. So I don’t plan on investing in one anytime soon to be honest.

@@DavidPerel VR is a huge step forward. I hope the devs will shower you with gear to try :) I shaved 3 seconds on laptimes just by going VR vs flat screen.

Any thought about Direct Drive for PC use?
DD is very cool but I am not convinced that it's worth the price. IMO there's not THAT MUCH difference compared to belt driven wheels. But people like expensive gadgets so I am in the minority here.

Most sim wheels are smaller than our real version. VR will come one day but it’s not essential for me.

It does but I wouldn't recommend it for GT Sport because of the button mapping. It can get a bit confusing with that game. Rather buy it if you want to enjoy the F1 games more.

Shame you can’t map the buttons, and a tip the wheel has soft leather and requires cleaning with a cleaner/conditioner. On my second rim after the outer skin of the old one became sticky to the touch. Wished Thrustmaster would add how to care for wheel, it costs enough.

I think with a T300rs you probably don’t need to upgrade mate. Rather focus on technique etc :)

Can I ask why no direct drive wheel?
Well three reasons: 1) They're mighty expensive 2) I don't see the need for one yet (having played with a few I don't see any major benefits) and 3) I recently joined the Thrustmaster family
@@DavidPerel I agree with 1 and 3 but not with 2. I come from a fanatec 2,5 clubsport + load cell to a fanatec podium + heusinkveld ultimate pedals. I think the difference is huge to a point where I think direct drive is kinda cheating 😂. They way it self aligns after coming out of the corner is very fast. Catching slides is also much easier.

You're a real driver. You definitely need a better setup than that. A larger screen, a direct drive wheel, and better pedals maybe load cell. You said that's only a PS so maybe that's why you're currently using a small screen. BTW you could also bring it a bit closer. If you have some sponsorship agreement then you should tell thrustmaster to make a direct drive product ASAP cuz that's simply where the market is going.
Actually all you need is a desk and a chair... the rest is just bells and whistles. Doesn’t make you faster in a sim, just feels better.

@@dannr5073 yeah man I got the csw v2.5 holy crap the power and fidelity of this belt driven wheel is ridiculously good ive never had this much detail I see bow why peopme that uograde to dd wheels from the csw v2mt aay it isnt as big of a difference as they thought yet others that come from a different wheel say its a huge iograde it just goes to show you just how good the csw v2.5 is
T300 is a realy good wheel for the money imo. I have it together with t3pa pro pedals and its realy nice.
