Norwegian "Real Meal" (MRE) Field Ration Taste Test | Nordic Outdoor Hiking Meal Ready To Eat Review

The Real Field Meal from Norway is basically like the Scandinavian Mountain House. These are Freeze-dried ration packs that are meant for outdoor and camping activities. The same food kits are found in Norwegian Military meals ready to eat. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get my hands on a full 24 Hour MRE yet. Their Beef with Pasta and Carrot pack was as good as any I've had. I'd just like to see these become more available in the USA.

You added to little water, as you can see at the 0:40 mark, there is a "fill line" marker. This is also visible inside the container by the bag "pinching" at the line. Its individual from each "meal" type. And yes! Having tried diffrent kinds of dried food producers while camping -- DryTech is by far the best.

Gotta love these. I'm always stoked to have these type of mains in the Norwegian AFR with me on hikes. Got a few of the complete rations for a big through hike I'm planning as a special "treat"

So REAL do both orange camping meals and green military field meals along with artic field rations which are used by the Norwegian military.
