@@Elslemmo yes, makes sense, that’s where a lot of corporate woke leaders think their future is. In Mora’s case, I think nothing can be further from the truth. Mora , as far as my perception is, has always been a very practical functioning piece of equipment designed to help handle the rigors of life at a price the everyday craftsman can afford. That’s what brought them to the world stage. Now, this current management mindset especially, reveals they have adopted a very different philosophy and unfortunately turn what was that practical, reliable and affordable commodity and company culture into another fashion item that’s longing for impracticality. Sad twist on what the older generation’s hard work and success is being misconstrued by the new generations perception of value is.

WOWEE what a deal! And unique ashwood, you mean that tree that's been used for handles and bows for hundreds of years and continentally grows in most of the world while being easily cheap and available is special? Noo wayyyy!!!
The only thing that would justify a price like this is if it was a UNIQUE alloy you developed yourself using powdered metallurgy. That's what you NEED to capture the botique knife market. Lol, lmao!

2000 kr 💪👍 for such a price it is better to buy something made of better quality steel and not a wooden handle. I will never buy this, not because it is just expensive, but because this price is overpriced by more than 2 times for this knife, people will protest with their wallet. it will have minimal sales, only those who are a fan or simply who do not understand knives for $ 200 will buy.
I hope that when you sober up we will see the price of 80$.

I'm honestly not complaining about the price. I understand that is very expensive to develop a new product like this to be produced at the scale that you do. Those costs have to be reimbursed.
Having been a fan of Morakniv for quite some time now, I remember how people have complained about the price of the more high end knives every time a new one was brought to market.
It happened with the bushcraft line, the Garberg and so on. And now those same knives are considered great value and fantastic quality.
Once people get these knives in their hand I'm sure they will be very happy with them.
It's not like you don't make the basic low cost knives any more. If people want a low cost knife they can just buy a 510, robust, etc. Even the 711 is still out there, and I regard that as one of the best knives you've ever made.
I'm also curious about the recycled stainless steel: Is it a sandvik variant, maybe even something in the RWL34 class, or something proprietary you don't want to specify yet?
Sorry for the wall of text :).
      Best regards from Denmark

I bought it from Wales, UK, and sent it to the USA for faster delivery than in Canada I lived and save all taxes and post office handling fees(at least 35$). From the USA to Canada no tax under 200$. I found the Wales shop price is the lowest among all stores its sales. I'm an online buyer since 1990 and know where to buy(not in Sweden or Norway, but Finland has a better Price. Royal Mail shipping charges only 5 pounds to the USA.
It is a small knife. I bought it. It's not balanced at hand. The wood is simple. Ashwood is not any special. I do fine woodworking and work with exotic and burlwood. I have taken away the sheath stitched and restitched it with hand stitching, but the hole is bigger and 5-6mm apart. The stitching distance of 4mm will be ideal. if they used Karelian birch wood or stabilized wood be great. I just liked the design and Swedish Sandvik still retains the sharpness longer than other steels, but Japanese still are better. I have an EKA fishblade and it has Sandvik steel and like a lot, but the blade is shorter than needed. Only you can use it for small fish like Trout.
