Fantastic video !!! I watched all his videos about carving in the morakniv channel, definitely carving is an art that comes from the heart , turning imagination into reality!!! GREAT work Jögge !!! A big hug and cheers from a carving friend from Japan 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
@@MoraknivOfficial Hello Guys 🙌🏼✨ I have some questions , can you guys tell me what axe and tools he used in this video ? And what kind of Wood he carved ? And btw Master Jögg Sundqvist have any books or courses for beginner carvers and woodworkers ? Thanks again ! Big hugs and cheers from Japan 🇯🇵✨🙌🏼
I was carving with a doubled edged Mora spoon knife the other day ... unfortunately I ended up carving some flesh out of my finger 😅 I'm quite impressed, really, with how easily the knife lifted off a piece of flesh so quickly that the blood kept the flesh on. Astonishing! Great knives! It was not until I took some tissue paper to stop the bleeding, which at first seemed very limited, that the small piece of flesh came off-it was truly only held on by the blood. The blood flowed freely then. I can't remember having had such a wound before that, though small, had just blood pouring out of it! Oh, and although the wound was deep and terrifying, it wasn't very big! It has closed up nicely in only three or four days (not all of it, of course, but the bleeding part of it). And I'm pretty sure that it's because the knife was so sharp! Keep your tools sharp, people! It makes the unavoidable cuts easier to treat! 😄😊 My Mora knives are among my absolute favourite tools! And it's the first time I had an accident with one ...
@@MoraknivOfficial Thanks :^) My finger's looking much better already! Today I'm going to make a lab bench to secure small work so I don't have to hold it in my hand. My accident was my own stupid fault for holding it when I hardly had room for my fingers. And because I wasn't using proper technique. I was holding the work piece close to be able to see, what I was doing. I should have had my knife arm stretched out to control in which way the knife could move if it jumped. I didn't, so it hit my other hand. If it can go wrong, it very well might! So don't take the chance. Be safe, use your head, use gloves or tape if necessary, have sharp tools! Thanks to all you at Mora for making some amazing tools :^)
Many years ago I was on holiday where a young man cut a water Mellon on his lap. Suddenly he plunged the diving knife straight into the middle of his leg. There was a lot of blood on the floor. But luckily he just missed the femoral artery, so he survived.
The man, the myth, the legend!
Indeed, still going strong! Greetings from the knife factory in Mora, Sweden. ✨
If I could I would love to work for mora. Being a part of something as old and traditional as mora would feel rewarding
Very enjoyable to watch, love the leather apron!
The venerable apron needs some love!
This is really amazing, thank you for the video.
Nice refresher course to the class 20 years ago at North House Folk School. Always a pleasure!

@@thomashverring9484 just any gloves won't do. You need anti cut ones ;)
@Owieczkin Yes, I know. I was also going to buy some anti-cut tape, but it was sold out. The lap bench I've made makes it much safer, though.

Thanks for taking the ‘hobby’, ‘fun’, and ‘enjoyment’ out of it for me. I’m closing my shop up- saling my tools, and taking a job at Pizza Hut.
Я тоже хочу у вас работать,возьмите меня,буду ложки куксы делать

No pro xD
$3,000 in specialty tools to make a wooden spoon?
What specialty tools? They were all honest blue collar tools.
That's a masterclass?
He need a new saw and the spoon is far too big
It's a ladle, it's supposed to be big
The saw is fine
