My thinking is that the gunkan battle suships are advertisement brochures for a giant food challenge which they use toy cranes and toy ship warehouses when someone ordered them as a part of the gimmick. Hahhaa I love this deck so much
This here is why i love yugioh Most card games try to have some type of parity between the cards and archetypes and thats the reason why i dont play them (magic is too much of a generic fantasy to me) But only in yugioh you can use a deck of sushi ships to fight lovecraftian monsters and i am all here for it
You can have a tag duel between Historical monarch different dimension business demons Mechanical dragons made of bullets shot by bigger mechanical dragons made of guns Evil color coded V-tubers And sushi you can stack on top of more sushi to make bigger sushi Say what you will about the gameplay but this game's sense of theming is objectively based
@@williamdrum9899 I'm a YGO fan, but in fairness mtg lityhas Fortnite, fallout, assassin's free y, and even sci-fi spacemen decks and cards. It's really not just generic fantasy at all. Plus the rogues are in really unique too.
I love this archetype. I like the idea of giant shipyards assembling edible battleships, but it makes a lot more sense for it to be model machine cranes. A beautiful set of card arts and one of the reasons I still play YGO. Mechanics and game flow has nothing on card art and archetype lore. a whole amime surrounding Gagagigo would be so sick.
I base off the actual scale of the Suships with the rice grains. This is backed up by the size of the soy sauce containers too. So they're using actual toy/tiny cranes to build it. Also makes it actually realistic for Dreadnought orders to be both possible to finish but still be incredibly difficult to do so.
I think the cranes are more of a design to it rather than being acual one because in reality, you cannot make functional machines made of food. So that means it is a regular-sized sushi with model cranes. I mean restaurants have their own way of serving their meals to customers. I saw a sushi restaurant that uses a long race car plate to serve the sushi (I think it is Genki Sushi?). As someone who loves Japanese food and some one who loves eating, I think the deck is perfect for me, hopefully not getting hungry every duel with it. 😂.
I personally think it s Rugrats scenario. The sushi shop uses battleship descriptions for their dishes, so people imagine these things as if they were functional naval vessels.
This has to be one of the weirdest archtype Yugioh has to offer so far. I mean, xtz seem to have cannons to use but what aboutthe normal ones? If these even got into an anime, how the Sam Hill would, for example, Suship Shari work, let alone attack?
We really need more the Gunkan Suship Members+Supports as well as the potential retrains+Boss Monsters We also need the Gunkan Suship family to finally make into their Tuners, Pendulums, Fusions, Synchros, the Xyz units and the Links’ respective debuts in order to finally extend their potential flexibility competitive META 101 ways and beyond even if it also means: over and over again
I think it's a "Gulliver's Travels" situation where Gulliver thinks the people are minuscule, but to them *He's* the giant. Who can say who's right or wrong?
what if it's regular-sized sushi being made by tiny cranes?
Yes
Judging based off of the rice grain size and that it fits in any type of shop, you might be on to something.
2:40 shows you're clearly right
My brain literally thought: “are the kaiju archetypes making these reviews?” 🤔
That would explain a lot.

@@An_Entire_Lime you can use ancient chinese myths against cyber techno chinease myths
If thats not incredible i dont know what it
I love making a giant mecha that can equip mythical beasts that transform into weapons by using cards with funny names based on Japanese onomatopoeia.
An immortal Aztec king who has all the gold in South America and bought massive army tanks and pet tarantulas

I've never seen or heard of these cards until now. Gotta love the Yu-Gi-Oh lore!
Or...you know...someone's imagination going too wild in a Sushi place. XD
this deck would fit in the early days of arc v

Can you do time thief's next?

This is why you love modern YGO: at least for crazy archetypes like Gunkan Suship
the real thing is...bro i wouldnt dule the gunkan suships...id eat them xDDD
Can you please do jinzos lore??
Please
Atlantic monster lore
So are they being eaten by giants or are the suships really small? 😅
"Stop playing with your food and eat it already." XD
It is probably regular-sized sushi.
