  • Today we replace our RV kitchen sink faucet with a residential faucet. We show you how to make this happen, as the pieces won't fit together without modification. This is a pretty simple DIY RV renovation that makes the area look amazing with just a small upgrade.

As always, we thank you so much for your support as we are on this journey to explore the country, one state at a time. We are a fulltime family of 3 (and 2 dogs), living in a 29 foot travel trailer that we remodeled ourselves on a budget. If you haven't already, check us out on Facebook and Instagram too!

Thank you so much for this video, saved me such a headache. Our cheap plastic one finally broke after full timing for two years and I had purchased a new faucet online and loved it, little did I know after pulling out the old one, we ran into the exact same issue your video covers and made it so much easier for us to keep the faucet and not give up and buy another cheap crappy rv one. Thank you agian.

Just a word of advice. No tape is required for the threads on either connection as the seal is made with the rubber o ring. They actually advise not to use the tape as it lubricates the threads and can make it easier to over tighten and damage the rubber seal or break the plastic fittings.

2 yrs after this video I thank you so much for setting me straight with what I needed to make this happen in my own RV. Went straight to H.D and found the brass fittings and with thread tape (white film for leak proof) and hand tighten only since Pex fitting is plastic I didn't use any wrenches to join. No leaks. Thanks again !

SO FANTASTIC! Thank you. This is what I'm needing to get. I'm doing a redo of an RV I bought as it's going great. Lost my husband in Feb. I'm doing this on my own. 68 years old this month. Yikes. Can't wait for my kitchen to come together. it's almost there.

@@NomadicTrio Thank you for your response. It's a Class C 28". Even with a full bathtub! My husband and I had decided to sell our property and everything else and get an RV and live on the road. Making our lives easier. He passed before we got the RV. I decided that I can't take care of this property and everything on my own. So I'll live out our dream. I've been the charter bus and school bus driver so driving larger rigs is not an issue for me. Found a GEM of an RV on craigslist. It's a 2000 Thor/Chateau that looks like it's never been used. 32k miles on it is all. Engine is pristine. Looks brand new. New tires E450 V10. Only $16k! I've repainted entire inside ... white (like so many do). Took the dinette out and replacing with a 6ft long butcher block table. Need room for my ham radios. Took out upper cupboards in kitchen for more head space and to open it up. Am doing open shelving. Took over/range out cause I want to cut down the use of the propane (less having to fill it back up). Will use plug in burner. Took out the fan and that big box over the range and cut it down to ONLY leave the front control piece that has my switches showing levels in the tanks. That will go under an open shelf. Rebuilt the front face where oven was to be a cupboard for small appliances. The doors for that were from the above cabinets. They fit perfectly in this spot. Surprised I am able to do all this on my own. Now I have to tackle the new sink plumbing. I think I can do it. I have God on my side and things have been going well for me working through all of this. Took toilet out to cut down on having to dump tank. Will use compost toilet instead. It's me and my 6 cats. Yikes! (Sorry I spilled so much here but this is an exciting project for me and it keeps my mind busy so I'm not just sitting and bawling my eyes out, which I would be doing). I miss him so much. My best friend. God Bless you guys!! Oh ya... and flooring is next. I have 5 cases of the vinyl floor planks and the cutter for them. I also took out microwave and won't be putting that back in. Figured I'm on vacation the rest of my life. Why be in a hurry to cook something? Also heard they use a lot of power to use them.
