His staccato, both on the up bow and down bow, are breathtaking. Rudin's technique is transcendental. This is a crazy difficult piece, arguably the most difficult violin concerto of the 19th century, so it is seldom played. But the musical ideas are very catchy and endearing. I congratulate him for his titanic courage in bringing this beautiful masterpiece to life.
I keep showing that this concert is a crazy thing. I have not yet seen the first virtuoso live to perform it cleanly. Unfortunately going so fast in the end ruins it completely because it strings weak, dirty notes and I even think I heard a note that was not going. Why speed up the end so much if you screw it up?
Es verdad de principio a fin estuvo plagado de grillos y notas no claras. sin embargo hay que reconocer que en términos generales es un buen trabajo el que ha hecho el hombre.
he's a virtuoso, playing a virtuoso piece in bravura style. i prefer hearing it played like that, on the edge, with maybe a missed note or two, than someone playing carefully and cautiously. think of Szeryng playing Paganini. but of course, i much prefer Szeryng playing Beethoven than Rudin.

I am a huge Fedor's fan since 2010! He is incredible! Best of luck!
never heard anyone play that ending that fast. the guy's just dripping with talent.
I love this concerto. Rudin compares well to some famous recordings. The devlish last page is - as all the rest - executed in the most brilliant way.
this is an amazing performance!
Wonderfully
How come he did not win?! It's infuriating! The jury members didn't like his suit or hairstyle?
6:21 ❤ who made his bow?!?
very very good!

bro has balls, u?
because he clearly has the technical ability for it but this is competition and live performance...
Fast, but not clean.

play the entire concerto, and then take his tempo for the finale
