Hello Captain SQ, just wanted to say amazing video. Really good refresher for FMA. Please do make more videos its a real help especially for line training and keep adding jokes and movie reference its makes some dry topics more fun and easier to watch.

Atl Cruz/the current altitude matches the cruz altitude set in the FMC and allows small deviations in altitude to reduce throttle movement to save fuel.
All I know is that ALT CRZ is a soft cruise mode, wherein, the A/P maintains the cruise altitude with +/- 50 ft deviation to avoid changes in thrust to control the speed of the aircraft. It is the most fuel efficient and comfortable way of maintaining the cruise profile. Talking about the EXPED button, it "expedites" the climb or descent of the aircraft to reach the selected altitude in the quickest time possible. During climb, the A/P selects the "Green Dot" speed and puts the thrust to CLB and the aircraft pitches up to bleed off speed and climb rapidly. During descent, the A/P selects "Vmo" speed and puts the thrust to THR IDLE and the aircraft dives down to catch up the speed reaches the target altitude as quickly as possible.
EXP CLB will cause the AC to climb at green dot. A/THR IS IN THR CLB and the AC will pitch up to increase the rate of climb, constraint are disregarded.
@@Captain_SQ but doesn’t rollout mean the aircraft is tracking the centreline thus you’d have to disconnect the AP? For a manual landing are you saying that rollout will remain in the FMA even though the AP isn’t on?

What does the FMA read for a manual landing upon landing and throughout the landing roll?

@@Captain_SQ also, at what height do you transition from the FD’s and onto the aim point?
If you are visual, you can look out at the aiming point and glance at the FDs. Constant scanning is key.
