I can't for Malum 2; in which Jessica's kid joins Police Department & volunteers to get stationed in the same place determined to know what happened with their mother, only to end up just like her...
Y'know, that whole "sit there like a scared child" plan actually sounds like the only winning solution here. It's the only way to guarantee the cult never gets what they want. Jessica, maybe don't do exactly the thing they tell you they need you to do and then get upset when it doesn't go how you wanted.
Perhaps if it was like the original: Last Shift - where the activity of the city can afford someone answering calls to re-route messages to the main station; it would be more believable. But... A cult is going on a rampage all over town, and there is a rookie cop NOT doing anything? WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT ANSWERING THAT PHONE!? 911 would have been transferred over, so even Non-Emergency calls would be pointless: Set up a machine to take down and record all further incidents. If it is ALL HANDS ON DECK then even the rookie is getting their hands dirty in the clean up of a mass city riot.
@@BrianPseivaD Ineffective is probably a better term to use, rather than "Not producing the desired effect." cause they technically are. They are just doing it poorly.
The most obvious sign that something is wrong is that padlock. You can smack ones like that with just about anything a few times and they usually come off.
I was too creeped out by the poster alone to watch this movie, but I immediately clicked on the “How to Beat” breakdown of said movie. Yeah that checks out. I LOVE this channel 🙌🏾
I actually thought this was that movie at first. It’s literally exactly the same just a different police station and different officer. And a slightly diff cult demon design. Looks rely similar just has a pentagram carved in his face I think.
.....wait, this POLICE STATION can be closed and chained FROM OUTSIDE???!!! What kind of- ...who designed that???? Oh yes, lets get ourselves trapped inside WITH THE MURDERERS WE CATCHED HALF AN HOUR AGO!!
This is very easy to beat, primarily because all the chips are in your possession, and you have to hand over every single one in order to lose. The cult can't just kill you, because they'll still lose. Even if you've been on a Doom-slaying murder spree for the whole night, you only need to realize this five seconds before the end. Perhaps the ritual is sealed and completed in your blood, so even if you do kill enough people, you can simply survive, and they'll still lose. At that point, it's easier said than done, but it isn't as if it's impossible; If you get to that point, just keep shooting. Any common sense move at all wins the entire thing. Obey the instructions you were given, and don't investigate the weird stuff. Don't let strange people into the station. Don't let the pig into the station, because dear God, there is no telling whether or not that's a catalyst for the ritual. Leave when spooky things start happening. Stop shooting when you realize they need you to be alive, and can't kill you until you've killed enough people to finish the ritual.
Perfectly explained, I wondered if the cultists were all hallucinations, but it makes perfect sense that the lady opened the door for all the cultists. Damn, the officer is one stupid lady
This movie could've been beaten by one thing: call forwarding. Literally just forward all calls to the new station & spend the rest of the night safe at home. Done.
As psychologist: volunteering on night shift alone in haunted station with potentially hallucinogenic mold while cult is running wild around city because you seek closure about your dad whom worked there is probably one of least recommended things in history of horror movies.
Im only 5 minutes into this and I could swear I've seen this movie before. Back then it was called Last Shift. So Im wondering... did 2 different companies pick up the same script and their internal teams made slightly divergent plots out of it or is one a knockoff of the other? Granted this ones monster is cooler but still beat for beat these 2 movies are super similar.
I think if they make Malum 2, they just has to go the route of Terrifier 2, and give some "hope" and semi-victory to the good guys in the sequel, to make it 1 : 1
Fun fact: Malum can also being traslated as "apple", that's why the forbidden fruit of the Bible is often depicted as an apple, because of this translation error.
Okay, let's be clear. There is thing called "order". You have order - you staying in station. It's not like we can say to our superior: bro, i have feeling that place is haunted with demonic entity, so i counting your order as illigal. Nope, i going there. But rest... After few encounters i already screaming "officer is under attack" and there is no ducking way my squad ignoring that call. And if they are not here in 20minutes - sorry, i doing my best to GTFO and survive. And if in the morning there are no evidence i was attacked, well... Now i'm ducked up twice
I get that they need the people in horror movies to have low IQ so some of the shit can happen, its a shame its so common though, I love the movies where the survivors are smart and the entity or killer needs to adapt as well.
I love movies about demons, and cults. Thought this would be home run for me, and I enjoyed the first half or so...then it just got...lazy, dumb, pointless...whatever you want to call it, it lost traction and not in an amusing way.
