- This is the all-new Cupra Formentor. The Formentor was built from scratch by Cupra, unlike its predecessors which were based on Seat. I'm driving the Formentor with a 2l turbo petrol engine, pumping 310 hp. There is also the glorious 5 cylinders, borrowed from Audi, coming to Formentor. What's the new Cupra beauty is like? Hello Anna! This is the first time I ever heard of Cupra. I was definitely impressed. Not sure if they will ever make it to the states but seemed like you really liked this vehicle and had fun. As always great review from my favorite influencer!
Nice to see you with new video Anna. Cupra is interesting to me BUT fun to see that you enjoyed and had fun when you drove it. When you tested Cupra, it was not annoying when the snow was collected in the pocket that has been made for the windshield wipers. I drive the Volvo XC60 2019 and it also has such a pocket at the windshield to hide the windshield wipers, but the manufacturers have not thought of the hell it can create. One day when I was not driving the car it was snowing as it is called wet snow (it was around zero degrees) and I had forgotten to pull out the windshield wipers and bend them out of the window. Then during the night the thermometer crawled down to -25 degrees and after that the windshield wipers were frozen under the snow that had become ice, it was not the least bit fun.
5 seconds to 60...impressive in that weather. Joe Achilles had this at 4.6 on a dry UK road.

Absolutely brilliant review Anna, I'm really loving the looks of the Formentor and it sounds amazing even if it has a soft limiter. I totally agree about those sliders controls, I could only imagine it could get awkward using them whist driving especially a spirited driver like you Anna. It's a bit of a sleeper car. Looks like a family hatchback, but goes like a bat out of hell.

Thank you Richard, I'd say the Stelvio Quadrifoglio is more aggressive but at the same time, it sits higher. This one is more fun on a curvy road. Stelvio on more of a straight piece.
Wow, a very capable vehicle. Crumbs it seems that even us peasants in New Zealand will be able to enjoy it. That is if you have around $55K(NZ) or UK £28K. Then again if one only has 10p then one can't have it. 🙁

Fun day at the office 😁 I hear the ID3 now has Apple CarPlay navigation turn directions on the driver display. Does this car ? Please keep your eye out for it in VAG and other cars as it is so much safer. Thanks

@@dimmacommunication The comfort difference between the Formentor and Ateca is minimal to be honest, Formentor a a car built from scratch and the suspension has been mastered.

Hey Anna. Actually Cupra did go across the Atlantic. It’s sold in Mexico, and their first flagship store was built in Mexico City.
Ciao Diego, you are very right, of course there is Cupra Mexico. It's interesting, perhaps because it's Spanish? But the again half of the US is, so it's disappointing. But I believe the VW has also a massive presence in Mexico.

I did not like the badging at the very beginning when this new Cupra make first came out.
But now I am getting to love it.

Hi Neil, oh I think without winter tyres I wouldn't get far. We've had about 40-50 cm of snow overnight. In both Poland, the vast majority does change the tyres, a few odd ones do not, but usually they live in the capital. But they were rather unpleasantly surprised this winter! In Switzerland, it is required by law to change your tyres. And you don't want to pay the Swiss fines!

I have this car in the VZ2 310 bhp version, yes it is very good but there's that infotainment system that's full of bugs and does some weird stuff like not letting you enter the car, or it can make random phone calls to even slamming the brakes on for no apparent reason whatsoever are just a few examples and the dealers can't fix the faults.
VW know about this problem as it's a similar problem across their range of cars fitted with this infotainment system but the Formentor has many electrical niggles that need sorting, what are VW doing about it? Very little
