I have the S23 ultra and i am very pleased.
Other than a 50MP camera and that 10x turning 5x and a flat display, there is nearly no difference between 24 and 23. Just like all Iphones.

This move by samsung of keeping their older flagships relevant is going to pay dividents in the long run ....it builds costumer confidence in the brand. I have the s20u s22u and s23 ultra
I was never going to upgrade to the s24ultra no matter what because i feel the majority of the consumers dont upgrade every year ...but by supporting the old flagships samsung ensures thst the consumers will always go for the Samsung brand over others ....

I have an S23 and have personally tested some of the AI features, and they work very well. However, it's worth noting that in the real world, no one would likely notice the speed differences. Thank you for sharing❤❤

As an S24 Ultra user, I'm pleased Samsung did a great job here! It not only prolongs the life of their older phones, but also boosts all owners of their phones that they have done a good purchase. This is how you build a brand.
Great to see that Samsung is not nurfing it's software features with the excuse that you need the latest and greatest device and processor.

Thank you for this. I got my S23 Ultra shortly before the S24 came out and felt I should have waited. Nice to see that I can obtain some of the functions without upgrading again now.

I don't think it's "curious" that the translation still works without the cloud since you literally downloaded a language pack which is installed on your phone, while the other features need the internet. I've the 23U and the only thing I'm missing from this new update is the new AOD. Also some goodlock apps haven't updated yet for me

Working great here in the UK . Got the update early this morning. Think I did well not upgrading in my opinion. May think about the S25 ultra if it has 3mn chip with the new cores .

about pixel-shift (anti burn-in) is ON now??? in GS23 Ultra
I've noticed the animation speed is slower on ui6. 1 compared to 6.0 . I have 2 s23ultras and 6.0 animations are faster . It's almost like it went to 1.0 from . 5 I checked developer options and it's still set to .5 other than that it's great. Could you compare this from your s24ultrs to your s23ultra? So we know if it's the same or not. Thanks for all your tests and information 😅. Update

Really like this update on S23. Fluidity is great and its forced me to finally adopt the full on gestures instead of swiping the nav buttons.
I don't really use the translation and summary via AI, but the slow-mo video (which was forgotten to be mentioned), that's perfect!
I did record b roll for it, then forgot to talk about it 😅😅

Could you tell me please if there is zoom animation in video camera mode with 6.1 update.It was very bad animation from x3 to x10 in video mode before and they improved it on S24 Ultra is it the same smooth on S 23 Ultra with one ui 6.1.Thank you in advance.

I would like to inquire about a feature in the Samsung S23 Ultra's photo editing software. When editing photos, I noticed that the option to move an image to another image by touching or outlining it is not available on the S23 Ultra but it is available on the S 24 On the S23 Ultra the only option is to delete the image or moving it around in the same picture I would like to know if there is a way to enable this feature or if I am missing something.

What happen to aod you can't customize it without good lock.
Same here on the 23 ultra. Don't know if anyone else has had this issue withe the OS6.1 but before going into settings, notifications, app notifications i have always been able to assign any notification sound ofy choosing to any app. Now that feature is no longer there. Thats one thing that set android apart from iPhone was customization. Any ideas? Thanks

I have an s23 and I noticed that with the one ui 6.1 update, I cant hold on a video to slow it down like you can on the s24.

I guess it comes down to whether you want a flat screen or a curved screen. I'm loving the flat screen on the s24 ultra.

Yes it's different!
The only thing I would love to have is the flat display. But that's definitely not a big enough reason to upgrade from 23 to 24.

The only complaint I have upgrading from s10 plus to the s24 ultra is lack of expandable storage and support for 32bit apps. There are a bunch of apps that I will never be able to use with my s24 ultra.
I got my update to One UI 6.1 on my Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra this morning. But not yet on my T-Mobile S23 Ultra (but a BYOD phone). Is there a provider delay on these updates? Also, I have a 256 gb / 8 gb RAM device. Any reason it might be held back?
FYI - other forums say T-Mobile will be sending it out tomorrow 3/29.
source code algorithm of the AI features were the same for both devices. - the same service pack for language etc,...

It's crazy how much clearer, brighter, and more vibrant the S24 Ultra is due to the Gorilla Glass Armor. I would've liked to see the "Remaster" speeds of both devices.

The 24utlra is a 23 ultra with a flat screen, though put side by side the s23ultra looks more premium with the curved screen my view 😅

Im really glad samsung released these features on the S23 Ultra, and I'm curious if the S22 Ultra can get them also. I think this builds a lot of good will with samsung and their customers. This also shows the power of these chips!

I haven't yet found a way, but you might not need to transfer as I believe you can set your password keeper in the settings on the phone
I hate the black and white notifications on aod. They were nicer with the colours. Yes, it's a big deal! Also hate the navigation bar. Tried goodlock and still trash. I preferred having absolutely nothing on the bottom of the screen. Who authorises this crap.. hopefully another update to sort it out. It's the little things that shouldn't be tinkered about with.
Great video as always and regarding AI comparison on S23 and S24 it just confirms Samsung total overhyped AI compane with S24 series.The only difference are in screen quality and flat design and x5 camera lens and better sensor.All the rest about S24 was fake gimmicks.Acctualy,after I saw comparison S 24 with Exynos soc with s24 with SD gen.3 I can tell you that iy is even bigger difference between those two and S23 with SD gen.2 with S24 with gen.3
that's why I'm leaning towards Andriod Samsung they put all the AI on the s23 on Apple I can't take a picture and turn it into a portrait and it has the same chip as the 15 series so this long term update don't mean that much it looks like they just give you basic OS

Had the S23 ultra since release date. So far there hasn't been a single reason for me to want to upgrade and I'm not suprised if in 2-3 years I'm still not finding many reasons to upgrade, the s23 ultra is just that good :)
Why are they removed the aod clock style?
You can find and set them again in a good lock clock face

They removed it on S24 too 😅 you can get it back via a good lock toggle in Nav Star

This confirms my assessment that AI was more marketing than a substantial upgrade, especially now that it's on last year's phone. The biggest feature the S24 brings is 7 years of OS upgrades, but that also might signal that Android upgrades will become substantially less significant moving forward. All of this tells me the industry is running out of ideas, which is a shame because I still have a ton.

At least I have to hand it to the guys at samsung ...they decided to keep the older flagship relevant....
@@raghunath19876 They most certainly have kept older devices relevant, a little too relevant, in my humble opinion. Consider the base model S24. It has the same RAM, disk space, and screen size as Samsung's flagship from 5 years ago. The most substantive change is the 120hz display, and that became passé years ago. Every year Samsung talks up the camera (which hardly changes) and gaming. There is nothing groundbreaking in the phone industry like there used to be 10 years ago. That CAN change, but only if there is a will on the industry's side.
Well the updates are doing wonders for the s24. I've had 2 updates in March and we're still getting another update in April. It's extended the battery life by like a good hour and half or two hours at least. The camera is getting better and the heating on the phone Is no where near where it started. S23 series won't be getting all those updates, and the s24 series gets them for an additional 3 years. Also, the AI-AOD feature is built into the s24 and exclusive. Also, they brought back QHD for the s24+ and made the base RAM 12 GB, so we've definitely seen a change
