Because Hindu people themselves exploit cows by using their milk and also their leather. Plus why only cows rest of the animals don't have a body. They don't feel pain. All animals are precious and equally important.

I was vegetarian for 12 years for philosophical reasons and my health began to suffer greatly although I did not eat processed foods but ate primarily plants I had grown.
