Good video. I was about to buy one but if you can't run the desoldering gun and iron at the same time it's not worth it to me. It's like driving your car. If you have to wait two minutes to go from drive to reverse and another two minutes to drive it doesnt seem practical if you are doing a lot of component replacements.
I previously had a pace unit, that you could run both at the same time, but it cost over 4 the cost of this unit, all i needed was a dedicated desolder unit, the soldering iron was a bonus for me.
Can U try desoldering some capacitors , around CPU socket of a PC mother board. Today PCB design is protective and those holes size nearly the same diameter with electronic components. If no proper tools and skills, desoldering is mission possible. 4 layers PCB copper traces are broken.
It’s best to add solder with your normal iron to avoid wearing out the desolder tip.
Good work

@ 4:40 what the use of that black thin rubber at the right side
its to change the tips while the tip is still hot. But I wouldn't recommended it unless it's good quality.
Could you pin out the pins I wanna see if this would work with a different model.

Multi layer desoldering is a challenge, some times is necesary to use low melting solder plus flux.
If you want to remove capacitors in 4 layer PCB's is better to buy a Hakko FR-301.
a bit clunky to me ................
Not what your mom said
