Great vid! Really enjoyed seeing these truly rare books. Also have to agree that the cover for Action Comics 2 is AMAZING! Wish I could afford a copy of it 😭
Your vids are outstanding. Really in the top tier in the hobby. Do us all a favor and find a way to get more content out. We’d all appreciate it and your subs will def get to where you want them to be.
Love those early Action non Superman covers the only thing I can matchup with your knowledge and collection is your tshirt I got a lime green version great stuff as usual
Thanks for the kind words Joe. I should have a monster unboxing video coming out in the next couple weeks. So, you can seem the newest additions to my collection.
Hi Bry. I was hoping to make it down there but couldn’t make it this year. Work was too busy. I hope to make it in 2025 and would enjoy meeting you in person!
Aw, Whiz #1 🤩 I’d love to have one. Adventure 40 is my grail of grails, and I feel blessed to have one. 😊 I’m also a fan of the Spectre and would love to own a More Fun #52. All American 16 is another book I’d love to own. Sigh!
Hey K, Great show ! Me personally, I like a well dressed character, and the Gas Mask is a perfect touch to any outfit. I used go to my local army surplus store all the time. For a minute I was really into gas masks. The variety is amazing. Every country has their own version. Russia had the most evil looking. The mask I have is from Poland. Looks super cool, easy to put on, only 15 bucks, and the Best part is it works and was brand new with instructions and a spare cartridge. Peace.
Very enjoyable vid again, quick question do we have any information anywhere regarding the breakdown of the 167 copies of Superman #1 in regards to how many are the first, second and third prints that were printed at the time ?
Damn those paper drives of WWII! Many of the books mentioned in this video were sacrificed and yet they continued to churn out less significant books at the same time. Oh the humanity!
Keston, do you collect coverless golden age books for reading purposes? Due to general scarcity, and extreme prices for high grade copies it seems more realistic to aquire. It might make an interesting video, too!
HI Robert. Great to hear from you. I have picked up a few incomplete and coverless books. Most of the time I buy them in hoping I can put together a Frankenstein (qualified) comic book with married cover. Regarding reading old comic books, I typically can find them for free on line :-).
I own Batman #2 15 cent variant, 3 on the census, 3 known to exist. Only 1 unrestored, mine is restored 5.5 which is the highest grade.

Thanks, Walter. It's such a beautiful book and really stands out from any other Action cover. But, yeah, it's only cheap relative to Action 1 ;-)
great value here. thnkyou. Do you have a list of uncommon and not valuable books? In other words, very little to none on Census, and not expensive.
Hi Tom, there's more of those books than you might think. Just about anything from 1940 and earlier is tough.
I wish there was a list somewhere.

Thanks Kozy! Slowly but surely the channel is gaining a little steam.
Sandman's 1st appearance was in New York Worlds Fair #1 from April 1939. Great video.
Yep…oops…I remember you mentioning that in a video.

Hi DC psycfi. Great to hear from ya. Don't sell yourself short..and, nice shirt!
Great videos. Would love to see more of your collection in future. Maybe a vid on Harry A Chesler's comics.
Thanks for the kind words Joe. I should have a monster unboxing video coming out in the next couple weeks. So, you can seem the newest additions to my collection.
Wow...I knew these were rare, but they are even rarer than I had imagined.
Hi Wahoo. Definitely. Quite a few very tough golden age books! Also, congrats to you sir for the victory over GT last night.
Indeed. Quite a few golden age books are TOUGH to get your hands on. Also, congrats sir for the victory over GT last night.
@@kestonsoldschoolcomicbooks6842 It was nice to get our first win of the year in the conference!
I guess I missed you at Heroes Keston! Hope you had a great time!
Hi Bry. I was hoping to make it down there but couldn’t make it this year. Work was too busy. I hope to make it in 2025 and would enjoy meeting you in person!
Same Keston! I picked up some very nice stuff at Heroes, it was a great show. I was fortunate enough to learn more from Tyler and Anna!

Jame, as always you have impeccable taste. Adv40, MF52, and AA16 are near the top of my wantlist as well!
Great video again. Gotta get the likes up. This is a valuable and rare type of youtuber.
Thanks MB. Working on it :-)
I would like to do/see a video on most rarest Timelys 😊
Well, I do love Timelys :-)

Haha. If Sandman threw a fashion show, you would be among the few invited!

Good question Cap. I don’t know.
I wish you made videos every day. Incredible content!@
Thanks Raleigh :-)
great stuff! thanks!
You’re welcome. Thanks for the kind words.
you are a comic book historian, cool vids!
Thank you so much, my friend.
Damn those paper drives of WWII! Many of the books mentioned in this video were sacrificed and yet they continued to churn out less significant books at the same time. Oh the humanity!
I here ya. The best and worst thing that could have happened. If there were 50,000 action 1s left, it wouldn’t be the book it is today :-)
Suspense comics No. 1 has a cool cover and few on the census, but can be bought for aroun 1K
HI Chi -tn. Yep...there are certainly other books that are rarer than the ones referenced. The early Suspense books are really tough.
