I do feel that Yoa needs time to be alone and really discover who she is. Once I broke up with my relationship of 11 years I felt so free In a way and did things for myself that felt so good. Even though it was sad and traumatic we need to find our happiness aside from a partner.
I needed this love, Im leaving my 9 year relationship things go so bad... and Im ready to be happy alone.

Honestly I ran into Yoatzi and Alex together recently with Ella and I see the respect they have for each other. You either respect each other and co parent our end things badly and don't respect each other
i’m really struggling w deciding to move on or keep going thru my relationship but after listening and hearing that it’s okay to be alone & not need anyone & you’re not alone family will always be there !!
It's not that you need someone, but on the long run everyone in your family builds their own little family including your kids.

Yoatzi I completely understand when you say that you get angry easily. We as moms are always over stimulated. What I do to ease my mind is I trained my kids to help me clean their mess, I teached them to play by themselves so I can have me time, take hot baths before bed time once in a while, go out alone, go get a pedicure or a massage and pray. I'm still working on myself but I have had less melt downs thanks God. Little by little, you got this!

Couldn’t have said it better Louie, unfortunately people don’t romanticize or prioritize marriage anymore. My parents have a beautiful, healthy marriage of 28yrs, so I’m just naturally a hopeless romantic 💗😭
When I asked my boyfriend if he saw himself getting married he said he didn’t. I got so sad because I do romanticize marriage. It’s a dream of mine to be a good mom and wife.
Eventually he switched it up and said I could’ve been more specific.

Awww Yoatzi, I’m happy for you! Your loved ones will benefit from you being kind to yourself. Alex is a great Dad and I could see how he immersed himself into serving you and the kids. Maybe that’s how he showed his love and care, but it’s important that you take time for your relationship too.

I relate to yoatzi sooo much. In a way it feels nice to know I’m not the only one on the same boat. After my second baby I also felt like I lost myself and currently trying to find the lost part of me. Looking at everything on social media i truly believe having kids gets left to be handled by mom only, while we loose ourselves guys are just like nothing happened. I just pray that we all find the road that we are meant to be on with a man or not. ❤

guys this might just be me… but i knew it wasn’t going to last. i know it’s none of my business, but you could see it. when he would come out in videos, he seemed like he was trying to hard to fit into the castro family but would always get ignored when he tried to say something or fit in with them. you could see his face getting annoyed sometimes when others were more outspoken and funny. he just didn’t fit and that’s okay. i hope they both find people that make them happy.
again none of my business, but i also think they both rushed into the relationship too fast and had a baby without even taking the time to figure each other out long enough to see if they were truly compatible before bringing a baby into the mix. now they are stuck. my brother did the same thing. DONT. RUSH. TAKE YOUR TIME!!!🤍
I’m currently 34 and have a 14 year old son. Her situation is the exact reason why 1. I’m afraid to ever live with someone. 2. Im afraid to ever have children again. The positive thing here is that she is able to afford being a single mom of two and has a loving and supporting family. But, whether she rushed or not sometimes things just don’t work out. I feel none of us know exactly how to avoid this sort of situation other than not having more children and not living with someone.

I love this sm!!! I got divorced 2 years ago and have been rediscovering myself since. I now know my wants and my likes and dislikes… I’ve reevaluated myself and realized issues I had and have been fixing them. Also, one piece of advice I was given once was “Be with someone who brings value to your life”… and this journey of Self Love has been so beautiful! And plus I am a single mom of 2 boys and I want someone whose also good for them. Not a dad for them but someone who is a great mentor for them. Someone who has been through hardships and can offer them some wisdom along the way. There’s so much more I can say but I love you Yoatzi! I’m excited for this next chapter💖

Honestly a Very Relatable Topic! When I lost myself my husband was the one who said just because we're together and we have kids doesn't mean you have to stop being who you are.... Shortly after I put myself first.... just because We commit in a relationship doesn't mean We forget what Makes Us Happy (Hobbies)...Self Love is Key and Your Partner should Pour into it not Dry You Out... My husband and I been together for 14 years and married 3 years! Blessings ❤❤❤

Which I think is fine I know a lot more people nowadays don’t even think about marriage, but that doesn’t mean someone not being ready is wrong. I’m not trying to give him a pass I think that just wasn’t communicated within the two of them as clearly as they thought.

i love that yoa and alex decided to do this together. i’m sure it’s hard talking to one another about a breakup and even breakups are very hard on a person. the thing i love about our generation is that we are all becoming better communicators. it’s not a bad thing to open up about what you want in a relationship or how you are feeling because ultimately being together and working for a relationship is tiresome. sometimes you need a break. i love you guys so much! i actually sat down w my bf after this and we made a list of all the things we enjoy without each others and setting goals for ourselves as well! we have been working towards losing weight and finding new hobbies before so i am glad you pointed out lots of things for couples! 🩷 love you guys sm! thank you guys for this podcast! it’s the best 🥰

With all my respect to Yoatzi, I think her and Alex are great parents to their kids but I do think that what affected the relationship was having a baby very soon. It didn’t give them time to really get to know and enjoy each other as a couple before building a family. But in the end I really wish the best for both of you! Things happen for a reason 😊

I used to be like that with my partner. until i just cried my eyes out telling him that i needed to go see my best friend that lives 1000 miles away. i went away for a weekend and it made me realize that i Needed time for my self. Now i spend more time with my family and go out alone even though that i am still with my partner. Always talk things out with your partner!😢❤

Having a clean home helps alot mentally. I'm a mom with 2 girls and I can get caught up on stress too but having a clean home helps. Have 1 rest day where you don't clean though, where you just relax. Do you bed each morning that helps too. There is ways.

I honestly totally disagree and this is the problem now and days with couples. I can see someone getting out of a relationship for not being happy, or there is no more love there, or just abusive in general. But if someone says I still love this person you should be able to work together to become your best selves. Ask your parents if they ever felt like they lost themselves being in there relationships and I'm sure they did but they stayed together to work through it. I'm happy you feel like you want to become better but I don't think that, that's a reason to leave a relationship. Because if that was the case everyone would be single
This is true! I was 1yr into my relationship and my mom said it’s not a game. If you love each other work on it together and grow together. Now we have been together for 12yrs. & I do my self care we each go shopping alone sometimes cuz we have diff work schedules but we love spending time together and prefer to do it with one another. However, being with someone 24/7 is tough & u can loose yourself. Everyone has their own priorities and boundaries in a relationship u just have to find someone who agrees and encourages u to do what u love etc.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. People don’t fight for their relationship anymore. It’s not always going to be sunshine and rainbows.
Speaking about relationships we never really heard about Louie and ferny even though yoatzi has always been open to talking abt stuff like this

If you find yourself in any relationship whether thats with your parents, friends, co workers, food, sweets, your relationship with mary jane *wink wink* ahhhh loll. Honestly I’m proud of you yoatzi a lot of women arnt brave like you to leave a relationship because of how there use to thier partner or because of kids. I hope women can take your advice and be able to focus on themself more and if they been thinking about getting a break from thier partner this can be thier sign.

I definitely relate to Yoatzis mood swings/triggers, and I just feel she should make it her life purpose to love herself. In a way she’s lucky she can walk away from a relationship because she’s not legally married but it can also lead her to jump from guy to guy looking for their affection and still feel emptyness inside.
