Long before Frisk fell, six other humans found themselves lost in the underground. Each of them succumbed to one fate or another, after being slain, killed or otherwise passing away. We're never told exactly what happened, however... so how about we find out?
Underlab explores the secrets and obscurities of UNDERTALE, that game everyone seems obsessed with. There's a lot of said secrets and obscurities. Like, a lot. Apron is found in Hotland, and though it is good, the tutu is one of the most defensive items by the point of waterfall. Though temmie armor is just about one of the most defensive items IN THE GAME, the tutu would probably be second best by the point of waterfall.

Actually, we don't know how much time has passed in between the humans' falls. It could have been decades and most of the Undertale characters might have not even been born at this point.
And Undyne mentions in her fight something about this lines: "Alphys told me that humans are determined. Now I know what she meant." This means that it's her first time fighting a human.

@@JoeyTDoesThings Your statement is retarded. We are given one date. 201X, this is the intro and says people go missing (obviously referring to them falling down mt. Ebott). There is no second, or past date. So you cant give a timeframe based on this. So dont say something like its fact when youre blatantly wrong.
All we know is that Gaster was the royal scientist when Chara fell, and Toriel, Asgore, and Asriel were all alive, and that Asriel became Flowey after Alphys became the royal scientist.
Interesting how all the souls have corresponding colored attacks.
Patience: Light Blue attack. Don't Move, be *Patient*
Integrity: Blue attack. You're grounded.(idk the correlation to Integrity)
Justice: Yellow attack. Shoot bullets similar to police(who work for the *Justice* department)
Kindness: Green Attack. Heals or allows shields. How *Kind* of the enemy.
Bravery: Orange Attack: You must be *Brave* and move. (opposite to light blue)
Perseverance: Purple Attack: Stuck on webs. *Persevere* through a sticky situation.
I think the Soul modes don't relate to the traits, but to the weapons. An example is Yellow, in which you shoot projectiles which a gun does. The only real trait symbolism is the blue and orange attacks, where you are patient with blue and brave with orange.

Sans has determination but smaller than frisk's determination which is why only flower sans and you remember things after you die.

Well, we at least know that it’s been a LONG time since a human had fallen, way before Flowey was created. A lot of people in the comments are assuming that Flowey killed some of the humans, but.. that wouldn’t make sense. Why would Flowey kill a human, but not take their soul? Frisk is probably the first human Flowey had seen, aside from Chara.
Now, the last human before Frisk probably fell before any of the cast (Aside from Toriel, Asgore, and Gerson) were born. The people of Snowdin, Waterfall, and Hotland talk to you normally. You’d think they’d recognize a human if five of them had passed through Snowdin, right? I say five, because Patience probably died in the Ruins, and a monster brought their SOUL to Asgore.
Sans and Papyrus don’t know what humans look like, Sans says Papyrus has never seen a human, and Sans asks if you’re a human when he first meets you.
Undyne hasn’t seen one either. She expects humans to be tough, like the ones she sees in anime with Alphys. If she had taken down a human, she would know that they aren’t at all like the ”documentaries” she watches with Alphys.
Alphys only watches anime, so she’s probably the most knowledgeable about humans, even if the shows she watches over-exaggerate what they can do.
Wasn’t Asriel born right after the war between humans and monsters?

My canon story:
Gaster Era: From Asriel to Gaster's demise. Perhaps a few centuries. Most likely the timeframe where the six souls perished.
Patience:
Fell due to accident, perhaps the one to confirm the legend true about Mt. Ebott. Stayed with Toriel. Potentially murdered "by accident" against a "bystander" in the ruins, while waiting for Toriel. Cause of Toriel being rude and cautious to ruins' inhabitants. The murderer may have been a disguised royal guard hunter.
Bravery:
Fallen due to self-challange. Saved a kid from frozen waters far from Snowdin. Died to hypothermia. His unseen heroic act faded away quickly from Snowdiners. Kid resolves to deliver soul to the capital.
Integrity:
Fell due to looking for a place to dance away of criticism. Became a Snowinder. Had a loner hidden place at Waterfall to practice dance. Hunted there by the previous royal guard captain, let's call them X. Probably promoted to replace Gerson's retirement, the oldest non-boss monster. X is as quick and merciless as Undyne ever wanted to be as a kid.
Perseverance:
Fallen due to running away with lover. Potentially the founder of Snowdin's bookstore. Dragged out by royal order and murdered by X by Waterfall.
Kindness:
Fallen with Perseverance. Potentially the founder of Grillby's (just reclaimed). Attempted to rescue the other human but ultimately failed. Executed at Hotland.
Justice:
Fallen due to looking for Kindness (sibling). Probably the first human to murder monsters, as vengeance becomes their theme, eroding the previous souls good reputation. Finally encounters and kills X, as X taunts about Kindness death. The first human to ever face Asgore himself, both rages revitalized due to X's and Kindness deaths renders Justice mortally wounded, and explains to Asgore their cause. As the second human to die in front of Asgore, he realizes at long last the wrong the monsters have done, which renders him depressive and reclusive, but adamant to make it worthy by ending the plan. He then promotes Undyne, who now hates humans due to them killing off X.

I have a theory. Maybe Patience was waiting for Toriel like she tells Frisk to and eventually fades away, while their belongings are scattered throughout the ruins.

Idk man, when I got hit by Undyne and had the tutu as an armor, it protected me pretty well
Using the information about the souls given, im going to share what i believe happened to the souls based on their items, soul trait, and how they damage/their assigned attack or mode.
Light Blue: I believe that Patience perished in the ruins, not even finding Toriel or her home. Seeing as Patience was the first human to fall down before Chara, most monsters still lived near the surface’s barrier except for Toriel and possibly Flowey. Nobody was in the Ruins when Patience had fallen. I believe that Patience was suicidal or depressed seeing as the soul damages with knives (self harm knives) and heals with bandages. Patience was severely injured because of the fall and only survived because she landed on Chara’s grave, the buttercups cushioning their fall enough for survival. The human that was Patience waited for death and inevitably perished. Since human souls linger after death possibly someone stumbled upon Patience’s body. Either a random monster found the soul and transferred it to Asgore, or Asgore chased after Toriel feeling bad, or perhaps he just wanted to visit Chara’s grave. After this, Toriel chased Asgore out and sealed the Ruin doors shut. Toriel figured out that Patience had tried to kill themselves by looking at their skeleton and seeing that many of their bones were broken. Toriel cast a spell that prevented anyone who fell from being severely hurt. Patience’s items were scattered by monsters who had taken the items off of the body. Patience was neutral, more on the Pacifist route.
Orange: By this time Toriel actively explored the Ruins and came across Bravery. Bravery had wandered around, accidentally falling into the Undergroud. Bravery was brave and impatient, wanting to see their family again. Toriel warned them of what was outside the ruins and what dangers they faced but Bravery ignored her and assured Toriel that they’d be fine. Bravery was nice to everyone they met, encouraging them. Bravery didn’t understand the Light Blue attacks and perished to one of the dog type monsters. One of the monsters in the area sold Bravery’s items to the shopkeeper in Snowdin. Learning how she obtained the items, the shopkeeper vowed never to buy items from anyone again. Bravery was neutral, more on the Genocide route.
Blue: Integrity was a dancer, daydreaming about how they’d be a star one day. They stumbled upon the hole in Mount Ebott on accident, falling down. Battle was especially difficult for them, they hated battle but could dodge well. They eventually got injured in Waterfall and ripped a piece of the tutu off to bandage themselves up. Disappointed that the tutu was damaged, they left it behind the waterfall where they had sought refuge. After that, Integrity stumbled upon Undyne, immediately being chased. Integrity lost their ballet shoes in a bush while running from Undyne. Undyne eventually cornered Integrity and killed them quickly. Integrity was a Pacifist.
Purple: Perseverance was bullied and became depressed. Hearing rumors about children disappearing around Mount Ebott, they got curious and found the hole, trying to commit suicide. Although Perseverance had been bullied, they decided to stay positive and tried to stay happy since they had survived and got a second chance. Because they were a book nerd, they stayed with Toriel for a while until they got sick of their surroundings and eventually left. Perseverance was a Type A person, someone who needed things planned and had to have a set schedule, usually staying in the lines. Perseverance learned a lot about monsters because of the time spent with Toriel and reading books. Perseverance was easily able to use mercy or damage opponents by learning an enemy’s personality much like Frisk. Perseverance was eventually killed by Undyne, but put up a fight and suggested that the fight would be better for both of them by being able to use one of Undyne’s spears to block. Perseverance eventually was hit enough by Undyne and died. Gerson eventually found their body and took their items to sell. Perseverance was neutral, right down the middle.
Green: Kindness accidentally fell down into the Underground. Kindness was a cook, and loved cooking for people, monsters or humans. Kindness stayed with Toriel for a while before deciding to leave because they couldn’t bear to be apart from their human family. Kindness got through every area easily, and even managed to survive Undyne’s attacks. In Hotland, Mettaton started his cooking show with Kindness as the special guest. Kindness was not physically suited for the challenge that they faced and was either killed by Mettaton or fell from the height. Kindness was a Pacifist.
Yellow: Justice had accidentally fallen down. Justice had a handful of clovers clutched in their hand when they fell because they had tried to grab onto the ground surrounding the hike when they fell. They considered themselves lucky because they hadn’t died in the fall. Justice wasn’t the kindness person, but they weren’t completely heartless either. If they were attacked they always fought back, killing the monster attacking them most of the time. Since they killed monsters that had attacked them, the ruins’ monster population decreased dramatically and the monsters left were young and easy to defeat. Undyne had found them in Waterfall and instead of cooperating with Undyne and using the spear to block, Justice shot Undyne, and that’s why she has the eyepatch. Undyne being severely injured, retreated and patched herself up. Coming across the Garbage Dump in Waterfall, Justice dumped their empty gun and cowboy hat that got in their way. Justice got past the Mettaton Resort but Undyne tracked them down and killed them out of anger. Bratty and Catty had found their items and took them to sell. Justice was neutral, almost genocidal.

I personally believe that all the humans met Asgore, but all but Justice had been brought there by the royal guard. Nobody's going to care, here's what I think.
Patience fell down secondly (I believe the order of the souls in the Flowey fight is the order they fell down), after Chara. Toriel found them and took them to her home. There they stayed for quite some time, losing the knife and ribbon. Eventually they left the ruins and proceeded through Snowdin. They tried to use their patience to sneak through Snowdin, but they were found, captured and taken to Asgore, who killed them.
Bravery fell next. They sped their way through the ruins before dashing through Snowdin. Bravery had a more difficult time than Patience due to failing to understand or care about blue attacks. They barely made it to Snowdin Town before they were captured by the Snowdin Royal Guard. They bravely fought back, and their equipment was lost in the tussle. However, the guard proved to be too much and were captured and killed.
Integrity came next and went through the Ruins and Snowdin without as much difficulty as the other two. They were captured. I'm not sure how. Maybe like the video said, they had the integrity to try to defend someone, and somebody recognized that they were a human and captured them. I dunno.
Perseverance came next and did the same things and went through Waterfall. They're tricky too. Maybe they were traveling along the rainy dead end path and climbed up and persevered along the path. Then they fell off the bridge, it doesn't seem too stable. After falling a long way, they probably weren't in the best of conditions and were unable to go much farther and could barely try to resist capture.
Kindness was number six and was actually able to make it to Hotland. They kept going along and all was going well due to the convenience of restoring HP. But maybe someone needed help, and with the kindness of their heart, they went to help someone recognized them and they were captured. (You can tell these theories are getting weaker as I go)
The penultimate human, Justice fell down. I like the idea that was in the Fangame Undertale Yellow that they went in to serve justice for what happened to the other humans, so let's go with that. They were able to make it all the way to Asgore, and had an actual fight with him rather than being killed almost instantly due to lack of equipment. However, they were unable to win and were killed.
That's what I think happened with the humans, it's fine if you have other theories. I didn't include any main characters (Besides Toriel and Asgore) because I'm fairly certain they all fell down before the others were alive. There were probably about 100 years between Chara and Frisk.

Honestly, I really like the theory.
One thing thats flawed about all of the comments. Every monster we see today (Papyrus, Sans, Undyne, Alphys, etc) Were not born yet. Monsters don't live forever. (Boss Monsters age slower). The time between Chara and Frisk are over 100 years. NO MONSTER BESIDES TORIEL AND ASGORE HAS EVER SEEN A HUMAN. Which is why everyone thought Frisk was a monster.
no no Papyrus is young enough for that; however, Sans and Undyne knew right away Frisk was human.
If they age more slowly, that means adults are a lot older than they seem.

Let's go over the list.
~Everybody knows what happened to Chara, the first human. Their plan to save the monsters failed when Asriel backed out, resulting in both of their deaths, thus their soul was not collected by Asgore. Toriel could have taken Chara's body with her when she left him and buried them at the foot of the mountain, where a patch golden flowers grew from the seeds still stuck to the child's body.
~The yellow soul may have died on impact after falling off the bridge in Waterfall, knocking their gun and hat away, since Bratty and Catty found their items in the dump and sell them in the alleyway. Due to the sticky seeds of the yellow flowers, this would explain why they mysteriously grew there - the seeds stuck to the child's dead body after they fell onto the flower patch in the Ruins began to bloom. Then again, Mad Dummy could be responsible.
~The green soul's items are found in Hotland, so a Hotland monster may have been the killer, or they may have died of heatstroke. Aside from Chara, they got the furthest into the Underground before their death. Being near so much lava and wielding a burnt pan, heatstroke is very possible, especially if they were unwilling to take off their apron due to the armour value and battle perk it provides. After the child's death, their apron could have been blown away by a steam vent and landed where we find it. Who knows how much air pressure those things are building up.
~The blue soul's death is left vague in comparison to the other humans, but they may have gotten lost in the winding pathways of Waterfall and starved, or a Waterfall monster could have finished the job, possibly Undyne. Then again, even _Flowey_ could have done it, since he didn't want only one soul - he wants seven - and it's shown that he isn't unfamiliar with the idea of stalking a human child, as he follows Frisk through the Underground and trolls them with echo flowers.
~Ah, the poor cyan soul. They barely got anywhere, as seen by their items being found in the Ruins. While a monster could have killed them, they may have died of natural causes. Perhaps they were sick when they fell down, and didn't get to Toriel's home in time - choosing to die somewhere pretty, like on the viewpoint of where we find their toy knife. A monster, such as a Froggit, could have found this body and taken their ribbon to play with, but lost it, which explains why the two items are so far apart. Toriel couldn't have found this body, as she wouldn't take it back to Asgore - she would have buried it. A Ruins monster could have taken the child's body, or even Flowey, seen as he knows his way around the Ruins and would know how the door operates. Spending reset upon reset with several characters would also mean he might have memorized Toriel's daily schedule and know exactly when she wouldn't be around the door to see him.
~The orange soul may, as always, have been killed by a Snowdin resident - perhaps a Royal Guard member - but they may have also frozen to death, their items being sold in the Snowdin Shop and neither looking very suitable for keeping a small child warm in such chilly weather. A bandana with abs on it and one mismatched pink glove won't do shit in a place as cold as Snowdin. It couldn't have been Papyrus, because not only would he not have the heart to kill anyone, much less an innocent child, and he most definitely would've gotten into the Guard if he killed them, it is said by Sans that he had _never seen a human before._ Sans knows more about Papyrus than any other character, possibly even Papyrus himself, so let's trust him on this one and rule out Papyrus as a potential cause of death. Then again, we do have that spaghetti that could have been there for God knows how long... on that note, let's not rule out Papyrus just yet. Unintentional food poisoning is still murder, Papyrus!
~The purple soul's items are sold by Gerson, who, again, is in Waterfall. I didn't mention this with the blue soul, but it is entirely possible that they could have drowned. They may have lost their glasses, being potentially blind without them, and stumbled into the water while looking for them, sealing their fate and possibly throwing their notebook away and onto land by accident while trying to save their own life. It is possible that this child didn't know how to swim, further explaining this theory. This would explain why their glasses are cloudy - humid weather makes it hard to see, and God knows Waterfall is the most humid place in the Underground. Being left there for days, possibly just a few feet short of their owner's watery grave, would definitely make them cloud up. I wear glasses, I should know.

Don’t forget that determined humans are much stronger then any other human could dream of.
Meaning that to any human that wasn’t a determination based would have far more difficulty with something in the ruins.
And against a full on boss monster, I only have one thing to say to a none determination based human in that situation, good luck.

No one's probably gonna see this, but I'm gonna suggest it anyway.
I've noticed something that happens during the fight with each of the six souls:
Patience/Cyan: the song playing is almost the same as Your Best Friend, as if they were too impatient to entirely change the beginning of Your Best Friend.
Bravery/Orange: the tough gloves go in and out, as if they are hesitant to attack, not at all brave.
Integrity/Blue: the remix of Your Best Friend sounds as if it's going to fall apart, as if there is no integrity to it.
Perseverance/Purple: all of the negative words flying around make it hard to persevere.
Kindness/Green: flames are being flung at us from a pan, not a very kind thing to do.
Justice/Yellow: the beginning of the song sounds a tiny bit like Megalovania in my opinion, and the gun is shooting at random targets, even if the target happens to be at someone/something that is innocent, so the shooting has to justice to it.

Cyan doesn't heal you with bandages, ORANGE does, and the consecutive battle, Blue heals you next.
So, every time one soul attacks under Flowey's command, the next helps you before being turned upon you.

Actually, I talked to bratty and catty and they said they found the empty gun in the garbage dump, so the soul of justice probably died because he didn’t understand how to fight the mad dummy, so the soul died from him most likely.

Each colour represents the humans' personality (as explained by everyone in the comments here, and in the video), tools used to protect himself or herself and their way of surviving in the Underground, until they died. This is my theory on how did they die:
Depending how did they go through the Underground, they may have killed by different key monsters throughout the game, which is the reason why they are bosses as they have that power.
Yellow mostly did genocide as his personality is to shoot, giving us the ability to do the same, and shooting someone will pretty much kill the victim. That means it used it's abilities to kill other monsters eventually getting killed by the much powerful Sans or somewhere in the Core, which is why we use the Yellow attack there (along with matching the theme - Space Shooter)
Purple did pacifist. I don't know anything about purple, but I can tell by the type of play that they were fast and possibly died by Muffet since the got caught in the web bla bla, which is why we see the purple attack only there. The power ended up in Muffet's hands and the soul in Asgore's.
Blue and Cyan both did genocide. Even though the famous Blue Attack doesn't allow us to go past a Cyan attack, Sans has the ability to use both of them, linking to us that he killed them and took the power, while giving the soul alone to Asgore. Sans could have given some of the powers to Papyrus since he is his brother, but as you know Papyrus is quite an easy opponent, which is what also explains his personality and a will not to kill a human.
Orange did pacifist, since we see the ability from Hotland onwards, but mostly in Hotland. Since orange is a warm colour and depicts the Hotland the best, the orange human eventually died in the Hotland's surrounding.
Green was killed by Undyne, since she is the only one to use the attack. Also, since Undyne's goal is to defend her friends and the monsters, she gave us the green attack to see what she is going through. I am not sure about the route, possibly pacifist.
Basically they all died from battling someone in a specific surrounding which shows us their power and abilities. Their abilities eventually got taken by the ones who killed them, but they still lay deep inside their souls. That's why we fight Undyne, Sans, Mettaton, Papyrus and Muffet a specific way.
The souls however ended up in Asgore's hands, since they knew they could trust the king to open the barrier and free the monsters.
However, Asgore possibly never told anyone about the souls and told the killers to shut up, so nobody knew until it was finally done. Which is why only Toriel and Asriel know that there are 6 souls, and Asriel, either as himself or as Flowey used it to take power.
I am not sure for Undyne, and how she knows that they have 6 souls already. Maybe because she is a head role in the Royal Guard.
Nobody will know except Toby and it will stay a mystery.

The cyan soul is referencing the blue bone attack by Sans and Papyrus, this human as explained by the video must have been too small to move giving him/her the ability to counter these types of attacks.
The blue soul is referencing the gravity distortion attack of Sans, with her (this human is a female probably) shoes she might be able to counter any gravity attacks.
The Orange soul is referencing Asgor's Orange spear attack, being brave the human must have fought by constantly moving and thinking less, as you know Asgor's orange spear attack can be counterd by moving. Some of the royal guards might have caught him/her in snowdin.
The green soul is referencing the spear attack of Undyne, also it represents the shield perk too, the human yielding his/her frying pan must have been more on a defensive side as the pan can be a good weapon for stopping projectiles, which explains that how we have to fight Undyne, by simply standing and defending ourselves, this human must have perished in the hotlands.
The purple soul is referencing muffet's web, this human as explained by you might have died by drowning, according to me this human was introvert as he carries a notebook and wears glasses, which explains why he didn't knew how to swim.
Your theory about the yellow soul is what I think might have happened to that human.
I think that most of the humans died due to accidents or Flowey, basically spawn killing them.

I also once thought of the possibility that the monsters with soul color change stuff magic killed the specific soul. Anyway I Personally just don't think that Sans could 'give' someone a bit of his power. I however do believe that you could inherit this power. So Gaster could have been the one who killed Intergrity( at least with the dadster theory).

For the orange, it isn’t really one person, but more of an attack. In your fight with Asgore (and maybe a couple others I can’t remember), he doesn’t make you orange, but when there is an orange attack, you must move to not get hurt (opposite of the blue attack). This is also similar to the laser puzzles in Hotland.

The purple soul may have died from gerson in his younger days
The yellow soul prob ran out of bullets leaving them with no weapon
The green soul may have died from someone like undyn which u need to run away from to spare leaving the green soul with no other but to be defeated knowing they were to kind to fight back
The dark blue soul either died the way you said or hid in the water fall to escape a monster but was found leaving them cornered and defenceless

I have a theory, since there were 7 humans before Frisk, were there more monsters? I think what happened to *kindness* it was in hotland and a monster was about to fall on the lava, so kindness tried to save it but fell to the lava. That is my theory about kindness

So, kindness made it past Undyne, but was in a fight with her, and was wounded. So they staggered to Hotland, (kind of like Asriel when he staggered home) and when they got there, they dropped their frying pan, and they went on a little more, but eventually had to rest. While they were resting, they tried to stop the bleeding with the apron. The item description even says the apron is stained, which could be from the blood. Then, they tried to get up again. When they did, the apron fell off. They tripped, and fell into the lava.
Then how did asgore get the soul?

I had a weird theory of my own. The soul of perseverance, I can’t help but wonder if they knew WD Gaster and even worked along side him. It’s possible.
Yes. I...I MEAN, THEY...did. They were taken in by one of followers/colleagues/friends (who lived/lives in the Snowdin House under the cliff) Their research was anonymously shared with Gaster at some point or another. The human was eventually captured (but not killed, by a specific request) and brought to Gaster. He was probably going to kill them, but he noticed their notebook, containing things he recognized...And, some that he didn't. His friend (The one who took care of the human) explained that they meant no harm, and it was beneficial to have not only a lab assistant, but a living human who willingly took part in experiments. Eventually, though, they met their unfortunate demise at the hands of a rogue royal guardsman in waterfall. Their body stripped and their soul contained, the monster who had taken them in tried, with Gaster's assistance, to revive the child...But, a failed attempt left a sickly, weak child with only a fraction of their soul intact and strange fungi coating their body. Suffice to say, that did not live long after that.

What's funny is that Glitchtale, which I know is it's own story but still, goes over what happened to integrity. Their mother was always busy with work, meaning she had barely any time to spend with her child. Integrity (named Alina in the series) had a ballet recital one night, and asked her mother if she would be there. Her mother promised, but didn't make it in time. Alina ran away, and found herself in the underground. She attempted to leave at some point, but ultimately met her fate at the hands of Asgore.
Patience stabbed himself, Integrity was killed by Alphys trying to do ballet. Perserverance killed himself because he couldn't beat junior jumble. Kindness smashed himself with a tough glove. The yellow soul was killed by humans, and his soul was thrown in the underground. And Bravery was cooked alive by papyrus, who thought it was spaghetti.

Here's a correction for purple soul also known as integrity. Purples belongings were found at near the end of water fall where an echo flower saying turn around is there. Purple must've turned around and died to undyne.

The patient soul waited forever in that long hall for Toriel to come back and starved to death.
The brave soul ran into the BLUE ATTACKS instead of dodging them
The perseverence and integrity souls were DETERMINED to spare undyne without running away.
The kindness soul wouldn't fight Asgore, and the Justice soul gave their soul willingly for the injustice that was done to the monsters.
The Determination soul waited for six other souls to be claimed to finish their plan.

here are the things wrong with this: the brave soul probably wouldn't purposely run into an attack... even though hes brave then he shouldnt run face first into an attack. perseverence and integrity wouldnt even fight undyne in the first place... she isnt the leader of the royal guard yet or probably even an adult. so wait determination had a plan about waiting for 6 human souls to be claims so she/he can be the hero? phtbwww yeah right... the souls might not have even known what "undertale" was XD they just tripped and fell into the hole leading to the underground

Asgore lived long enough for the whole Undertale backstory to happen, as did Toriel. As for Undyne, she gained a reputation as an almost unbeatable heroine, so she likely captured at least a few human souls in order to gain that image.

Maybe, though the odds lean towards no. Determination specifically is what gives a soul the will to live on after death according to Alphys and her experiments. She was able to bring Asriel back as Flowey because she injected the flower that Asriel died on with Determination and nothing else.
Maybe Perseverance might be able to live on because it's perseverant, but I'm not sure about the other six.

If no one knows what a human is, the last one was there approximately in the 70s, before almost everyone was born.
That means we have 35 years at most.

But, it was stated that Chara was the first and fell somewhere in the year 201X. Which means the year Undertale takes place during Frisk's descent is somewhere beyond the 21st century if Chara's entry into the Underground is considered 'a long time ago' compared to Frisk's entry.

I have a theory on what happened to Perseverance. Instead of falling in Waterfall, they instead persevered through Hotland, always moving forward despite the intense heat covering their glasses in steam. However, this resulted in them not being able to see where they were going properly, and they ended up tangled and stuck fast in the webs in Muffet's domain. They struggled with all their might to escape, but couldn't budge at all - the webs preventing them from moving forward and therefore making them unable to persevere. Needless to say, it wasn't long before the spiders noticed their new visitor; after dinner, Muffet proceeded to sell the notebook and glasses to Gerson to get more money, and sent the SOUL on to Asgore in hopes of a reward.

She was gonna preform when a bunch of girls bullied her after that she went to mountain EBBOT And tried to commit 💀 but not the way frisk came she met toriel and told her what happened (integrity) because of the place were she went she was not in the ruins but in the outside of it after that she went to ask "where is the exit" everyone feared her so she cried until she got to the waterfalls and she eventually met undyne and got a fight with her, before the battle her tutu fell but not on accident she quickly took it off to leave traces for the next human that will come through will see it also she was friends with the monster shyn,once integrity died shyn noticed that undyne did it after that the shyn was depressed and stayed into the waterfalls until she can recover for what happened

So my guess is:
Patience soul died because Toriel said to her to wait, (Toriel also say this to you in the ruins) and then a monster came up and killed her
Bravery died because in snowdin monsters use the blue attack multiple times
Integrity died because it's soul was near the bottom, and couldn't avoid attacks like Aaron's
Perserverance died because he had a limited space in fighting, and couldn't avoid attacks like Mad Dummy's
Kindness was killed because it always standed still like Patience, and in Hotland monsters use the Orange attacks
Justice was the one who got real far, but it died because it ran out of ammo
*Kindness had a green heart, so people used him as a green screen and he disappeared because someone turned him into Thin air.*
Since you really have to work for the True Pacifist ending, it's likely none of the previous six humans were any more guiltless / blameless in their deaths than Frisk in a neutral (much less genocide) path since the war would've been closer in theirs and the monsters' minds. Considering Justice had a cowboy hat and gun and was the furthest along it might've been that they were the first of the six to enter and they'd entered the underground willfully to bring Justice to the monsters who'd 'slain' Chara... and since their gun was empty when you find it...

I think Sans wouldn't kill bravery or justice. Like he said, he was only joking with "You would be dead where you stand". He fight with us unly when we kill everyone. Bravery would for example die becouse of a cold in snowdin, and justice... I don't really know, how justice could die, but i also don't know why Sans would JUDGE JUSTICE. Developers of UNDERTALE YELLOW will probaby find some good reason of Justice death. But i think Perseverance has something in common with Sans. Remember his PURPLE Karma damage? (Also I'm sorry for any grammar mistakes here. I from Poland and i understand more English than i can say)

So The Patient soul probably fell down by accident, and saw no true reason to move forward in the underground, instead patiently waiting in the ruins, until they eventually succumb to the monsters? Issue there is how their soul was delivered to Asgore.
The Brave soul wanted to have an ''adventure'' and fell down willingly, had the bravery to go further than the ruins, but but bravery alone is often compared to idiocy, and the Brave soul Overestimated their strength and challenged some force in Snowdin and died (I don't think it's Papyrus cuz he's so amazed by Frisk as a human)
The soul of Integrity stays true to themselves as they go even further, but gets hunted down and killed by Axis, one of Undertale: Yellow's characters. This means that it's most likely the Integrity soul that fell before Clover (the justice soul) since the only other human mentioned in UTY is supposedly the integrity soul.
Perseverance has the least information on them true, and there's no way right now of determining how they died, but for now I'd bet on undyne, maybe even Muffet? It matches up in terms of soul mechanic for the Muffet fight, but With undertale Yellow telling us that Muffet's spider region is ''under construction'' I can't be sure.
Then there's Kindness, who might have gone down to look for their ''friends''? Similar to Frisk, Kindness befriended their way through the underground, but like the video states, couldn't make it past mettaton. There's also maybe some connection to Undyne, since the soul mechanic in that fight is green.
Finally, there's the Justice Soul, Clover, protagonist of Undertale Yellow! Assuming the pacifist route is the canon ending, (spoilers btw)
Clover sacrifices their soul for the sake of their friends (the characters of UTY) making it to the surface. Their gear (the revolver and hat) are left in waterfall in the junkyard, where those cat people find em and put em up for sale in the Mettaton appartments!
The few loopholes with this speculation are the location of the signature items, as well as their state (despite being an ''old'' tutu, Integrity soul is the most recent soul to have fallen (at the time of UTY) while the items of say the Brave and Patient souls are supposedly in mint condition (except the bandage which was used). It's also possible that every one of these souls had a different, unique underground experience like Clover and the only thing in common between the souls is that their gear is on Frisk's path (This is because none of base Undertale's characters go into detail about the other children, not even Asgore).

I have my own personal theories and stuff for this.
Undertale Yellow goes off the assumption that the souls fell down in the order that they appear in the Omega Flowey fight (hence Clover being the human before Frisk.)
I actually 100% agree with you on each human taking a different route through the underground. In fact, Undertale Yellow gives us quite a bit of information about the Integrity Soul. You can almost piece together the whole story of Integrity just from Undertale Yellow.
It’s highly implied in both Undertale and UTY that Integrity was aggressive. In UT it specifically says the Tutu is dusty, a quality that none of the other items in the game have. Dust is important to the UT Universe cause, yknow, monsters turn into dust when they die.
UTY, from what I know, tries to imply that the Integrity soul went through the underground and somehow ended up taking a detour to go to the Dunes. While there they attacked Dalv, and according to Chujin’s tapes Kanako was very close by when it happened. The Integrity soul then makes it to Waterfall, when Axis chases them down and kills them accidentally. Chujin experimented on the soul a bit, creating the serum that he believed could turn any monster into a Boss Monster. (If you know the lore of UTY, it didn’t exactly work as planned.) I’m assuming after Chujin’s death, the Integrity soul was inevitably given to Asgore as there was nothing else to do with it.
Now, that is all based off of UTY. Now it’s time for my personal theories and speculations. So according to the Determination experiments Alphys did in the True Lab, it’s definitely implied that at least one human fell down between Integrity and Justice in order for her to have a soul to extract Determination from. That’s why I believe it was Perseverance then Kindness, and then Justice. Just like the Omega Flowey fight shows.
I think what happened is that the Perseverance soul somehow ended up in Alphys’ hands. How? Well, I think it might’ve had something to do with Mettaton NEO. There’s a common fan misconception that Mettaton NEO was extremely weak, but that’s because by the time you reach him in the Genocide Route, you one-shot like everything. Mettaton NEO is probably much more powerful than the games makes him appear, and I believe Mettaton NEO was the one who killed the Perseverance human. After all, it seems like it was implied that Alphys made Mettaton to be a human-killing machine at first before opting him to be an entertainment robot. Mettaton actually says it himself in the Genocide Route. Before he became a star, Alphys made him as a human-eradication machine to impress Asgore. This also sets up an interesting narrative, because this means we now know that at the time of the Perseverance human falling down, Alphys wasn’t the Royal Scientist yet. Now things get very, very interesting.
You see, according to UTY, the Steamworks was the main power source of the Underground before the CORE was built. And since there’s no record of there being a Royal Scientist before Gaster that we know of, that means Gaster was most likely in the process of building the CORE when the Integrity soul fell down. By the time the Perseverance soul falls down, Mettaton has been created and the CORE is most likely finished. It could also be implied that Gaster had already been split across time and space by the time Perseverance arrives, since why else would Alphys be trying to impress Asgore if there was already a Royal Scientist?
By the time the Kindness soul falls down, I’d imagine Alphys is in the process of her Determination experiments in the True Lab, as I truly believe that Clover was the first human that Flowey interacted with. After all, Kindness would’ve been an easy target for Flowey to just take the soul of. So that’s why I don’t think Flowey is around yet when Kindness falls down. Kindness probably just got killed after reaching someone they couldn’t spare by just being nice to. Maybe they were killed by Asgore himself?
I don’t really have anything to say about Bravery, as there isn’t much info on them and I think your theory on it makes perfect sense. Bravery could’ve also been killed by Asgore himself, but unsure. The Bravery soul could also very well be the soul that Gaster experimented on to make the blueprints for the Determination Extractor, as it’s implied he’s the one who invented it. I think it’s also implied Gaster did DT experiments of his own, so I think time-wise, the Bravery soul makes the most sense for him to use.
Patience is one I actually have an interesting idea on. You see, Patience fell down SUPER early, probably decades before Undertale. Because of that, I’d imagine even the Steamworks is under construction by the time Patience falls down. I believe Patience started off by living with Toriel in the Ruins for a while, maybe even getting to explore the city you see in the Ruins that you can never go to in Undertale. According to Toriel though, every human that fell down eventually left the Ruins, meaning Patience didn’t die in the Ruins. I think Patience eventually got curious and wanted to explore more of the Underground. Being the first of the souls to fall, Toriel is probably less protective and more understanding, and lets Patience leave the Ruins to go explore the rest of the Underground. I wouldn’t be surprised if Patience went on to make it to Asgore only to be killed by him. As for the bow and knife being left behind in the Ruins? Maybe they gave them to Toriel as a memory of them? Not too sure.

Ok so, the first human to fall, Chara, we know what happened, but I like to think their soul powers the core, anyway.. The second human was patience, they went through the Ruins, but lost their equipment. They went through snowdin forest, but got captured by the Snowdin royal guard, brought to Asgore and he killed them. Toriel became disgusted with Asgore's actions and left to the Ruins. Bravery came next, they fought their way through the Ruins and continued from the Ruins, leaving Toriel heartbroken. (Not actually heartbroken) As they continued, they got to snowdin-Forest where they had a lot of problems with blue attacks and nearly got killed, when they were captured their weapons were taken. Already beaten up they were captured and had to face Asgore, who killed the child with not much effort. The next child was Integrity, they got lost in the Ruins, but ended up at Toriel's home with 1 HP, Toriel healed them and they stayed at her house for a while, but they wanted to go home and so they had to continue. They made it through Snowdin easily, but as soon as they reached waterfall, Undyne killed them with no mercy, she brought the soul and body to Asgore and put it with the others. The fourth human, perseverance was captured from the Ruins by the dogs in Snowdin who got in the Ruins. They brought them to Undyne, Undyne did not hold back. Perseverance was writing notes about Undyne, which made them not pay attention to the fight and they were killed in 1 hit. The next fallen human stayed in the Ruins for a while and helped Toriel with her cooking. They were loved by the monsters in the Ruins. The child wanted to live in the Ruins, but they missed their mother. They explained this to Toriel and moved out of the Ruins. The monsters in Snowdin liked them too, and let them pass through. As soon as they reached Waterfall however... they had to fight, they worked their way through Waterfall, and as they reached Hotland, they reached Mettaton, who used his killer robot mechanism go 'destroy' the child, this happened in the show "cooking with a killer robot" (live).Justice heared about the missing children and wanted justice to be done. They ventured down Mt. Ebott and fought their way through the Ruins, Snowdin, Waterfall, Hotland and the Core. They did a no-mercy run, every monster that tried to stop them from reaching the castle would die or have to escape. They did reach the castle, where they saw Sans. Sans did not judge them for their actions, since it was 'self defense'. The human reached Asgore, they thought it would be easy.. they made a mistake, their gun was out of ammo. They were murdered. Their stuff was dumped in the garbage and ended up at the dump, where Catty and Bratty found it not too long before Frisk falls.
